MAIN EVENT - BASH vs. SHELDON TREMBLAY

 

MARISA vs. JUNKO JIIROTA

Marisa let her intentions be known a few weeks ago when she landed herself smackdab in the middle of the situation developing between Perl and the OCW World's Women's Champion EMP. Ironically enough she now finds herself on the other side of the ring of EMP's protege and protector Junko.

 

Junko is after a bit of gold herself after falling short to Dragana Cesar at OCW's 20th Anniversary for the Pride Championship. Junko met Belle last week in some spirited competition but came up a bit short. I wrote last week it's been up and down for the rookie, I don' think that changes very much this week. 

 

Both of these ladies have a good amount of power and will display it in different ways throughout this match. Junko tends to be a bit more of a slow starter, so expect Marisa to hit the ground running to start the match. I don't think Junko's night ends early so she fights back.

 

I am expecting at least two Bimbo bombs from Marisa tonight, Junko trips on a pounce at some point and that is her undoing. 

 

Prediction - STRUMPETS OCCAISONALLY PLAY THE RIGHT TUNE AND THE TUNE IS A VICTORY FOR THE SEX METAL BARBIE

 

 

STEP SON BATTLE - JORDAN TRANCE vs. ALEKSANDER BOLEK

I am going to step into character here for a moment. If Bolek loses to Jordan Trance and denies me revenge by proxy there will be hell to pay. Now that I have said all of that we have a matchup between two people the fans would both perceive as shit bags. So unless you have a vested interest here we just want to see a good match.

 

Bolek has really been on a slide recently but looks to pull himself up by his bootstraps this week.  His loss to Nate Ortiz a couple of weeks coupled by another slog with Steven Jackson has left more to be desired. I really do believe personal biases aside we haven't seen the best of Aleksander Bolek yet. 

 

Jordan Trance needs to keep up his momentum here, the last time we saw him compete was at Anniversary 20 on the side of DNS. Now he takes on one of the long time members of the faction he helped preserve. Trance stole his way to the number one contender spot for the CCW Championship.  Now he would appear to have one tune up match before the biggest match of his career takes place presumably at The Clash. 

 

This thing goes back and forth, Bolek is the type that refuses to lose even when he is beaten. Sometimes he snatches victory from the jaws of defeat, other times he just delays the inevitable. Trance loses his cool somewhere in this match and has a full meltdown. I don't see it only taking one as Bolek's infamous quote says. 

Prediction -  ALEKSANDER BOLEK STANDS UP AND GETS A MEASURE OF SWEET REVENGE FOR DNS AND BASH

 

SKADI vs ASHELY

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that we get some type of Belle appearance before during or after this contest. I've said this before, Ashely's slow burn heel turn has been some exciting stuff. Her repetitive jabs at Belle both in her presence and during her promos have been a breath of fresh air for me. 

 

Skadi hasn't been seen much since her loss at OCW 20 to Marisa. I said at the time I think she fought well and showed people she belonged on that stage. As Valk said she should be a great rep for Nordic culture and it's rich tradition in pro wrestling, a chance to correct some of those stereotypes we hold in OCW.

 

Ashely is the clear veteran of the two in this situation but as I mentioned earlier Belle's presence is looming over this matchup. Skadi as a rookie I expect her to fight hard but just not well enough in comparison to Ashely who is one of our most decorated Women of all time. 

 

We get ourselves a good old fashion situation where Ashely is just one step ahead of the rookie at all times. Not expecting this one to be as competitive as some of the other matches on the card. 

Prediction -  ASHLEY AND HER MEAN GIRL ATTITUDE GETS A WIN BUT BELLE FINALLY PUTS HANDS ON HER

 

 

TAG TEAM TURMOIL - THE MATINS & DAMIAN BOURNE vs. UNDERGROUD ELITE (JOE/PEITE)

Damian looked pretty good in his match against Joe Deaver. I thought he had a nice performance. Mantis had his removed from the rest of his body courtesy of Belakor so we need to keep an eye on his health. 

 

Underground Elite continues to truck forward, with Petie Wheat-Straw watching his back as the Temple Of Omen has recently attacked him. Joe Deaver and his leadership being questioned at times.

 

I think all of the competitors in this match have potential to find their lane within OCW and produce quality work.

 

The match itself Mantis is going to be the X-Factor for me. We know that Bourne, Deaver, and Petie are all fairly competent when it comes to their in ring work. I need to see more from Mantis to give him that label. We have seen rag tag teams get wins before and go on to big things. See Paul Harris & Anthony Martin beating DNS to open the season, as we all know they are the tag team champions currently. 

 

Joe and Petie have enough work experience together where I would give them a clear edge in this contest. I am hopeful though this the coming out party in a big way for Mantis. OCW can use more characters like his which breaks the mold, and him having a bit of success is a good way to get him to stay engaged. 

 

Prediction -  THE UNDERGROUND SHOWS YOU THE ELITE PART WITH THEIR CONVINCING WIN OVER THIS MAKESHIFT UNIT

 

 

JACOB HAWK vs. BAE

BAE is a sleezy slime bag, but you have heard me rail on that before. I think he has found his spot and cadence within OCW in a space many don't occupy. I really know nothing of Jacob Hawk, if there was a promo or anything explaining it I missed it.

 

For those of you who didn't fall asleep in VP last Friday like I did, this was a discussion we had post show for a while. I think based on what was said we will see some stuff for Jacob Hawk soon... Because I need to see this guys look and understand what he is truly about. 

 

Based on having no data for Jacob Hawk, BAE wins and women everywhere shriek in horror as he tries to hit the town.
