Welcome to episode #3 of Wrestling Ichiban Weekly with yours truly, The Original Wrestling Journalist, Gabe Seltzer. This past week was a monumental week for OCW as the 50th Edition of Ambition took place. Now off to the reviews.

Match Reviews

Ambition 50

The first match of the night was the #1 Contendership to the Hardcore Title and wow, that was HARDCORE. Bodies were flying, bodies were being broke in half. Overall, that was one of the most brutal matches I have seen in OCW in a long while. Everybody competed hard but obviously only one person could come out on top and that was Justin Raze. 4 1/4* for the match and 5* for the medical attention that was given to all the competitors after the match.

My long time friend, Matsuda competed in a great match against up and coming youngster TJ Stevens. Spider channeled his classic MATSUDA and put on a striking clinic. The ending of the match was spectacular, the super kick off a springboard move was the perfect way to end a great match. 4 1/2*

My great friend Mugen and almost as good friend Dimsmore faced off in a hell of a brutal match. Even though they have faced off numerous times before, this has to be the one that tops the rest of the matches. Although Dimsmore was brutally attacked by Cerberus last week, he looked to be just fine in this one all the way till the end. 4 1/2*

"The Man of 1346 Holds" Tiberius Dupree faced off against OCW Legend, Chris Mania. With these two names in the match we can easily expect a match with "betterness". This extremely technical match proved why both of these men are regarded so highly in the company. 4 1/4*

For the #1 Contender of the TV Title we saw a match between Tobin Frost and Chris Moore. Both OCW youngsters have been trying to prove why they are considered to be the future of the company. While Tobin frost came out on top of this match, Chris Moore has nothing to be ashamed of and his time will definitely come. This was certainly one of my favorite matches of the night. 4 1/4*

In the main event of the historic Ambition 50, The Television Champion Eric Scofield faced off against his nemesis, Michael Hollywood. These two have been just going at each other in the ring, outside of the ring and everywhere in between the past few weeks. With all the tension between the two it was easy to expect a great match and boy were those expectations met. Hollywood may have won this match and the TV title but I don't see this feud ending this quickly. 4 3/4*

The night wasn't over as one of the most powerful alliances in OCW History was formed. Putting the young champion Hollywood with other OCW household names like Dupree, Matsuda & Dimsmore will be something to watch for week after week. OMG! gets a 5* rating from me.

Quick Ambition 50 Notes

Michael Hollywood is clearly holding onto his position as a main eventer on Ambition.

Justin Raze was clearly a track athlete at one point in his life with all that running.

When I saw classic Matsuda walk down through the entrance, I marked out.

The return of old school OCW personalities is sure to bring ratings up.

Yes, Trisha can get it

Dupree's an ass but hes great comedy.

Roofus certainly stands out on the camera.

Tobin Frost continues to suplex the living hell out of everybody he faces and I love it.

Could we see an alliance between Scofield and Razor?

OMG! could be one of the best reasons to tune into Ambition.

What an amazing episode of Ambition! 5* Night!

Riot 332

With the King of OCW continuing on Riot, we saw another first round matchup of my good friend Mugen against Cerberus member Cody Storm. Cody seemed to have control of this match for a good portion of the match and with the exception of a few moments, Mugen could not get a groove going for himself in the match. Solid win for Cody. 4*

The second match of the night featured Jacob Trance facing off against Chris Mania. This hard hitting match ended with a painful submission from Trance. Good way to get in to Round 2. 4*

The severely angered Matsuda faced off Leonheart in another King of OCW Round 1 matchup. My good friend Matsuda was looking to get revenge of Leonheart for what he did to Dimsmore weeks ago but that was to no avail. This match featured some appearances by both Dimsmore and Spider who ultimately evened up the numbers. Leonheart takes this one and gets all of Cerberus into the next round of the King of OCW. 4 1/4*

OCW Hardcore Champion Paul Pugh faced off against OCW Television Champion Michael Hollywood in a great 1st round match. The rookie superstar was looking to get an upset over the veteran but this technical masterpiece ended with Pugh picking up another win and moving on into the 2nd round. 4 1/4*

The Main Event of the night and final 1st round matchup in the King of OCW featured Jookie Marley & Dimsmore. The angered Dimsmore was looking to get revenge for his fellow OMG members who were eliminated earlier in the night. Jookie Marley has looked better than ever since returning to regular action recently. He followed this up by pulling out the big upset over Dimsmore and moving on in to the 2nd round. 4 1/2* and an extra 1/4* for a match of the night.

The night ended with a certainly odd moment as masked men attacked OCW World Champion Parker Stevens and put him right through a table head first. These are definitely guys that mean business and we can only wait to see who is behind this.

Quick Riot 332 Notes

The OMG guys are extremely entertaining but the conflicts within the group will be interesting to watch.

Spider better watch himself before he wrecks himself.

Tobin Frost & Sean McGee could be a solid feud

Mmmm pizza.

The true villain Matsuda may have stepped the line this time around.

Poor Roofus

Dimsmore taking the first shot at Cerberus in what I hope will be an amazing battle between two powerful factions.

Every time Michael Hollywood performs the Shattered Dreams, I cringe.

OCW Gossip

OCW officials are surprised at how Ambition's ratings are strongly beating Riot's. Since some of the talent have become Ambition regulars like Paul Pugh and Tiberius Dupree, a surge in ratings has occurred. Could more wrestlers become Ambition regulars? Can Ambition sustain this? Will the Riot GM look to do something drastic to change this?

OCW officials are apparently very high on Roofus Ruckingston The Thoid's on-camera abilities and his future looks very bright in OCW. Rumor is that he's looking to branch out into other forms of media. A documentary on his life and a memoir could be in the works.

An inebriated Matsumoto was seen backstage at Ambition looking to pick fights with anybody he could find, including multiple camermen, wardrobe personnel, Trisha Waldrop & Jookie Marley just to name a few of his targets.

Word going around OCW is that a new influx of talent could be coming in from many parts of the world including Japan & Mexico to revitalize the EX-Division. Can any of the new talent make an impact?

OCW Officials are somewhat split in regards to the OMG faction. Some like the group composition, but the general consensus is that with such a talented group of individuals the name is not over. A quote from one of the agent's "They have the look, they have the names, they have the pedigree." "It's like if you named Revolution Inc the Rebel Guys, if you named The Death Syndicate, Deadly Corp, The Bloodline, Plasma Patrol, or The 4 Horseman, The Horse 4, it just makes no damn sense."

The FBI have been raiding the records of numerous clinics and laboratories linked to performance-enhancing substances. According to my sources, one OCW talent seems to be mentioned in many of the records seized by the FBI. A certain person with rather large arms is who I am being told.

Parker Stevens needed medical assistance immediately after his attack on Riot. Will a possible head injury keep him out of action longer than expected?

With King of OCW 2nd Round about to be underway. Are there more surprises in store? More upsets?

That is this week's Wrestling Ichiban Weekly. Arigato and Sayonara!
