A little behind schedule

[Casey Paine]

***Scene opens in front of a sign that reads 'Palm Bar and Grille'. As we pan around we notice another sign that reads 'JFK International Airport'. As the camera pans back around we see hundreds of people coming and going, going about their every day business, not paying any attention to the OCW camera crew. The camera then enters the bar and pans left and right, as if looking for someone. We then come to a stop as the camera man obviously finds who he is looking for. In the far back corner of the bar, sitting in a booth by herself with her back to us, is a woman wearing a black baseball hat, with short blue hair sticking out from under it. Casey Paine. The cameraman slowly begins to make his way towards Casey, through the crowd of people in the bar. As we finally reach her, we see that she is sitting long ways on the bench in the booth, with her legs stretched out in front of her on the bench. She has her head propped up onto her hand with her elbow on the edge of the table. She has her ToP hat pulled down, so that the bill is covering her eyes and half of her face. She appears to be sleeping. Sitting on her lap is a zipped up, black duffel bag. On the table, across from her arm, is a half eaten steak and 2 empty bottles of Bud Light Lime. Laying next to the plate of food is Caseys black iPhone 6s. As we come to a stop, Caseys phone begins to ring, causing Casey to slightly jump, startled. Casey looks around for a moment, then realizes that its her phone thats ringing. As Casey reaches to pick her phone up, we see the name 'T.i.T' on the screen with a picture of Michael Heaton that reads, 'Heaton for Hall of Fame 2016' . Casey looks at the screen. She shakes her head, smiles, and laughs to herself.***

 

Casey: "Yeah. I definitely gotta change that."

 

Again Casey shakes her head as she swipes to answer the phone.

 

Casey: "Whats up, Sugar T.i.T?"

 

Voice: "....."

 

Casey: "Nothing much. Was just getting a little rest before my flight."

 

Voice: "...."

 

Casey: "No not yet. Im still here. There was a 2 hour delay from New York to Charlotte."

 

Voice: "...."

 

Casey: "No idea. All i know is my flight now leaves at midnight instead of 10."

 

Voice: "....."

 

Casey: "I dunno. Im about to call Maj here shortly and let him know that I dont know if Ill be able to make Riot this week or not."

 

Voice: "...."

 

Casey: "Yeah. I just talked to her a couple hours ago. Shes good. A little nervous, but thats to be expected."

 

Voice: "...."

 

Casey: "No not yet. Still waiting on medical."

 

Voice: "....."

 

Casey: "I know. We were just hoping to have heard something by now."

 

Voice: "....."

 

Casey: "Yeah, I know. She should be good. We still have 2 weeks. But you know me and my patience."

 

Voice: "...."

 

***Casey laughs at whatever is said.***

 

Casey: "Shut it, T.i.T!"

 

Voice: "....."

 

Casey: "Of course Im sure."

 

***Casey looks down at the duffel bag sitting on her lap and smiles.***

 

Casey: "I love that little girl."

 

Voice: "...."

 

Casey: "Well shell always be 'little' to me."

 

Voice: "...."

 

***Casey smiles.***

 

Casey: "Alright babydoll. I love you too. Give the kiddos love for me and tell them Mommy loves and misses them very much, and that Ill see them soon."

 

Voice: "...."

 

Casey: "OK babe, you too. Good night."

 

***Casey then looks at her phone and touches the 'End call' button. She lays the phone on the table then stretches her arms out to each side, twisting and arching her back, popping it. She then looks at the empty beer bottles sitting on the table next to her. Casey picks up her phone again, and pushes the power button. 10:59 PM. Casey then begins to look around her. She catches the attention of one of the waitresses and motions for another drink. Casey then swipes her phone again. She hits the contact button and begins to scroll down. Again, Casey slowly begins to look around the bar. She then looks down at the duffel bag in her lap. Casey smiles as she nods her head. She then touches the screen on one of the contacts and presses the call button. As we begin to fade, we notice the name 'Majin' on Caseys phone as she raises it to her ear.***

 

Casey: "Hey Maj, its Case. Ive got some good news and Ive got some bad news."
