It’s 4:30 on a Friday night and uncommonly,“The Iceman” Nate Mac is laying alone in his bed, still in his “wife beater” undershirt and boxers, with the covers pulled up to his face. The wrinkles in the blanket unknowingly expose the tight grasp of the blanket, meaning Iceman is under some kind duress.

Panning across the room, there is no evidence of the notoriously unknown mischief from the night before, all the flasks are in the cabinet, none on his nightstand, or under his pillow, as usual.

A quite chatter can be heard, panning back to Iceman, his teeth chillingly dance on top of each other as Nate Mac shivers and mumbles incomprehensible noises, struggling to speak a single word.

Mac’s phone starts to vibrate but he doesn’t move. His eyes closed tight, his long, wavy curls, which are draped over his face and in tangles. Again his phone begins to vibrate, and The Iceman opens one eye.

The crust formed around his eyes suggest he hasn’t opened them for an extended period of time. With one eye still open, Mac ignores the phone. Suddenly the phone rings, and The Iceman sits up, staring at the ringing phone, he answers

Iceman Who is this?

The Unknown Caller pauses, …It’s me.

Nate Mac’s demeanor changes immediately, No No No….. You …can’t be… how?

Caller What do you say? Oooh yeaaah, it’s me!

Iceman stands up, his voice shook but stern, You don’t belong here. I left you behind for a reason, and you know why! I told you to never come back.

The Caller pauses again, I do what I want now. You can’t do anything about it. I’m here, and I won’t be so easy to …..kill.

The Caller hangs up, After a couple unanswered “Hello’s” Mac drops his phone and walks into the bathroom. He stops in front of the mirror and hunches, his arms spread out and his head bowed.

Mac lifts his head slightly and stares into the crazed eyes reflecting back at him I gotta stop him before it’s too late. He could ruin everything. I’ll call Tre, he will know what to do. He helped me before.

Mac’s head swings back and forth, but still maintaining eye contact, a sly menacing smile forms You can’t stop it. He’s too powerful. He’s been following you, watching you, waiting. Hunting you, like hmmm how ironic…like a wolf, hahahaha dig it? Hahahahaha

Angrily, Nate Mac responds I don’t need him! I’ve surpassed him, that’s the truth, that’s all that matters!

Reflection Believe what you want. But why did you answer the phone then?

To be continued.

The Iceman has spoken. Dig It!
