Nate Ortiz walks into the room for his sit-down interview at the Sensational Compound in Puerto Rico, one day before his match at OCW’s 19th Summercide.

Stacy: Nate, thanks for joining me today. First off, how does it feel coming into Summercide not knowing your opponent?

Nate: It feels like a slap in the face, honestly. To go from headlining the very first iteration of this 20 years ago, to being put at the leisure of Tiberius Dupree of all people is a joke!

Stacy: What is it with you and Tiberius Dupree? You’ve fought and teamed up many times over the years, yet you two still have so much animosity for each other.

Nate: There was a time when I couldn’t be touched by anyone, Stacy. Inside those 4 corners, there was no one better. I put this place on my back, and I thought I left it in a good place.

Nate: I stepped away Stacy and this place went to shit. It took an ambitious group of 4 to bring things back to where I left them. Dupree was at the top of that group. At Summercide 2013, I was embarrassed. He was the first one to show me that I wasn’t who I once was, and I’ve resented him for it ever since.

Nate: But if I’m being honest, that loss lit a fire under me ever since. I took his summer and he made me tap out.

Nate shakes his head.

Nate: He stole my Wrestlelution Main Event victory from my hands and walked away before I could get my get back. And I hate him for that.

Nate: It’s why regardless of whatever shade of the rainbow his personality falls on, I’ll always have to get back at Quartz, even Drago, whom I may never defeat. However, I will always try.

Stacy: Speaking of Quartz, how will being the referee in the CCW Championship match impact your own title defense?

Nate: I’ve been at this a long time, Stacy. I know how to compartmentalize things. I’m just there to make sure Quartz doesn’t try to pull some garbage like his little run-in during the last CCW Championship match. But know this, If the red guy puts his hands on me, I will respond with force.

Stacy: Given the length of your career and the toll that it's taken on your body, do you see yourself winding it down soon?

Nate: Are you calling me old, Stacy? Am I “The Elderly” or today’s new word, a “Relic”? I’m not a damn statue that is whethering as the season of OCW go on and on. To be called that is a bigger slap in the face than not having an opponent for Summercide.

Nate: I’ve been as active in my “old age” as some of these pups with 3-4 years on their belts. I’m not a “Relic” I’m the Greatest of All Time. In fact, Greater than that. The list of accolades is too long to list. Saturday, I add yet another page in this 20-year story.

Nate thanks Stacy and stands up, observing the ocean view as the scene fades.
