Running the ropes

The scene opens a week before summercide, Blacksmith and Hawk inside of the worn ring located at 636 Broadway. The two were training together in the ring locked up in a test of strength.

Blacksmith(grabs hawk in a headlock): So you went to see him? 

Jacob hawk(attempting to drive Blacksmith towards the ropes): Yeah? 

Blacksmith(digging in his feet and holding his position): And?

Hawk(continuing to do his best to break the hold): He seems to be receptive. I think there's a good chance he'll come around.

Blacksmith:Good. You'll need friends for what comes next. Every revolution needs soldiers. 

Blacksmith begins to deepen the hold and slowly starts to crank Hawks head.

Hawk: Yeah I know. I'm doing the best I can here. What do you want from me?

Blacksmith: To do better!

Hawk: I'm..trying! 

Hawk does his best to break free of the hold once more, trying to leverage his body weight as best he could.

Blacksmith: Well try harder! Do you want to fight for a change? You want to prove you got what it takes? Do you believe in your revolution?

Hawk:Yes!

Blacksmith: Then fight for it!

Hawk grunts out in pain as he drops to one knee before powering through and lifting Blacksmith up and delivering a back suplex causing Blacksmith to break the hold. Hawk reaches for his neck and coughs slightly between labored breaths. Blacksmith grunts as reaches for his back before making his way back to his feet.

Blacksmith: Now that's more like it. Take 5 minutes to get yourself together. Then we're running some more drills.

The camera fades out slowly as it pans away from the two in the ring.
