Troubles From the Past

Featured Replies

The camera opens up on Jacob Hawk as he is seen exiting the performance center. He walks through the nearly empty parking lot and towards his car. He stops in front of the driver's side door as he fumbles with his keys. Along his keychain are homemade charms and a small, dark feather of a bird.

???:Surprise you even still have those.

The sound of a familiar voice causes Jacob to stop in his tracks. He looks down at his Keychain then up at the sky before letting out a deep sigh. Jacob turns sound and a much larger man with features similar to Jacob walks into frame, making Jacob look miniscule in comparison.

???:You know, considering you never come to visit anymore, don't write home, hell not even make a phone call.

Jacob Hawk: You know why. I've been busy. Forgive me for actually wanting more for my life. We can't all be like you Jason.

Jason: So that means you leave your family behind? Forget me, mom, and everyone else? You walked away from us and fo what? To throw your life away fighting for people who don't even care about you?

Jacob Hawk: I fight for a purpose, I fight for a movement, I fight because that's what's in my blood, If I don't, who will fight for us? Nobody. Nobody cares about us. But me, I can make them care. I go out there and make them see us.

Jacob taps his brother on the chest in a firm but not hard tap. He then takes a finger and points at the insurrection logo as well as the anarchy patch on his shirt and jacket.

Jacob:This is what I fight for! This is what I represent!

Jason takes a step forward and looks down at his brother. Jacob clinches his fists, getting ready to fight. Jason lifts up his finger and points to the tribe patch on Jacob's jacket.

Jason Hawk: But this is who you are. No matter how much you lie to yourself, or run from it. You need to remember that. Or did you forget why you even wear your paint? That part of your little gimmick too?

Jacob says nothing but the expression on his face shifts. His look of passion is slowly replaced by one of frustration and anger. Jason scoffs and starts walking away, heading back towards his own vehicle. He gets inside and drives off leaving Jacob alone. He looks down at the keychain in his hand squeezing it tightly while looking it over as the scene fades and camera zooms in on the keychain.
