  1. What I enjoyed the most - FloJo Invitational: I liked the idea of an on-going stage for others to get some screen time and fight. It's simple but effective, and most important, useful for everyone. The match itself was long, but the ending was great: I honestly thought FloJo was going to win it, right until the very end of it - Main Event felt like an actual main event, intense and fast, even thought it could've last a bit longer (20 minutes match is ok for a title match) - I watched Frankie vs Jett and to be fair it was good. Sure, there were a bit of random running and awkward stare downs, but overall it was enjoyable What I think should be improved - I agree when others say written segments could've been more balanced across the episode. It may not even be considered a flaw, but if I have to make some constructive criticism this is one thing I can point out. As far as the womens division is concerned, I'm the rookiest of the rookies so my opinion should not be considered that important. All I can say is that in my first two weeks here, I had the chance to talk to most of the others (FloJo, Stixx, Odonnell), I asked them/read about their characters and worked with them for a segment, which was a blast for me and I had a great time writing. I think we all have some good ideas, we just need some time to develop our CAWs and tell the stories we have in our minds. We should communicate more between us, that's the only thing I wish we'd do a bit more often (brainstorming about segments or feuds, for example). When you say we should step up as a division, I think of what I've done and see if there's something I can improve: the only feedback I had was about Valks appearence and it was positive, but honestly that's the least of my worries. My main focus is her personality and how she can interact with the others. The idea behind her gimmick was to create the right mix of Bayley and Alexa Bliss (when she debuted as a face, with the childish day-dreamer gimmick), while still adding some mythology references here and there because why not.
  2. Alright, here we go Jack Rougue vs Jimmy Henry: The promo was solid, simple but effective. What I enjoyed more about the match is that it felt like an actual TV show segment, 10 minutes long and with a "standard" finish. Capo restroom segment: Somewhere between "genius" and "WTH did I just read" (In a good sense, of course) Thomas Archer vs CJ: Probably my favourite match of the night. As I've said for the Rouge vs Henry match, the pace was perfect and very technical (which is my personal preference) Invictus vs Young Drakes: It was kinda one-sided for a good part of the fight, even though in the end it could have gone either way. The promo was fire though FloJo/Riley was solid (gotta love Riley's finisher), and Cheryl's attitude in the promo got me legit intrigued for what she has in store for the next episodes. No need to review the Rumble ofc, but the ending segment was a great way to redeem Ricky after what happened previously in the tag contest I've probably missed a lot of references to earlier episodes/segments so I can't say much else for now, other that it was fun reading through all of this
  3. (There will be some references to Roses are Black - Rose Tyler by Scaar. I recommend reading it first) The camera cuts backstage, inside the Rookies' locker room. You can see a young girl sitting in there, checking her phone while listening to music with a pair of red headphones. She doesn't really look like a wrestler: besides her small figure, her innocent smile makes her look more like a fan than an actual fighter. As the camera guy enters the room, she pulls down her headphones and stares at him with an awkward smile. Sarah: Why are you filming me with an iPhone? She is trying really hard not to laugh at him, for how ridiculous the scene looks. Camera Guy "Because the last wrestler I interviewed here, Rose Tyler, smashed my camera with a roundhouse kick. 50k dollars wasted. Are you going to do the same to my phone? The girl laughs. Sarah: No, definitely not. I'm not that kind of person Camera guy: Then we can proceed. Tell me and the OCW fans about yourself Sarah: I am Sarah Stevenson, but you can call me Valkyrie. Most of the so-called "rookies" here have been wrestling elsewhere for quite a while, but I can't say the same. This is my very first experience in a professional wrestling company: it will be tough, but I'm ready. Camera guy: So, who are you exactly? Sarah or Valkyrie? Sarah: Valkyrie is my alter-ego. Like Clark Kent and Superman, Barbara Gordon and Batgirl. When I get inside a ring, I become Valkyrie. You see, the "regular" Sarah wouldn't have the guts to fight for what's right, she would be scared of facing OCW top talents. But as Valkyrie, I feel different. I feel like I should be an example for everyone who's watching, especially the youngest fans. And that gives me an insane amount of courage Camera Guy: Aren't you exaggerating? I mean, wrestling is just a sport, after all He asks, still awkwardly holding his iPhone. She shakes her head. Sarah: Wrestling is not just a sport. It's a metaphor for life: a never ending fight between good and evil, heroes and villains. I have to show the fans that hard work, respect and self-confidence can bring you great results. When I walk down to the ring, I see the children in the front rows waving and cheering for their heroes: I have to do it for them. I have to be their role model. They cant grow up idolizing the villains, who always take the cheapest way to success. He stops for a moment, then he asks the final question. Camera Guy: And do you really think that we need role models here, in OCW? She points at his iPhone. Valkyrie: You can ask your 50.000$ camera about that
