Goodbye Unorthodox, we hardly knew you.

PMed you on discord.

Very enjoyable and digestible show overall. A big well done and thank you to all involved, didn’t think there was a bad match on this show at all. I felt Cort and Shep finally had the blowoff match their feud deserved, Quartz and Wrex brawled like the best of them, and Valk showed how and why she’s going to be a dominant champion. Bring on Riot lads!

I assure you, Dan, there are some much bigger dummies on this site than me
-
Who hurt you b? I said 'and many more' because I was anticipating it would be more than those who I mentioned, thank you for your contribution but don't get upset if your name isn't plastered all over it so a lot of people won't catch that it's your doing.
-
Excellent show by everyone involved, congratulations to the victors and thank you to all who made this show possible. Jay, Jake, Angus, Empress and many more, thank you.

I hear you mate. I appreciate all the feedback we get. This podcast is definitely on to learn from for me, people put in a lot of work and don’t deserve to have it joked about if they don’t want to. It’s not difficult to return to the old format, I think the best thing here is to make sure these aren’t rushed out, Otherwise you end up with a pod like that with us skirting over a lot of stuff. I hope this clears it up.
-
100% understood. I know I have my own taste, which is why I enjoy talking to others about the shows. Jake and I cover a pretty broad range of what people enjoy about OCW (no disrespect to Wrex), and as two ACTIVE and INFORMED members of the community we genuinely want to make sure no one work goes unappreciated. I acted like a dick on this podcast and I know I shouldn’t have, and this is a valuable lesson for me about finding the balance between speaking my mind and keeping it respectful. Again, I am no expert on analysis and I will do better.
-
Understood, big man. Thinking back, I genuinely did want to go into more detail about the RPs on this show but honestly I probably wasn’t in the right state of mind to be recording. Wrex will be the first to admit he isn’t the biggest talker and we both probably could’ve benefited from not rushing this one out. My hope is I didn’t come across like a dick in the podcast but I could 100% understand how I could’ve, and I apologise for that if anyone was offended, I should’ve been much more careful in my word choice. I appreciate everyone’s graft to get shit in on time for these shows and in future I will make sure people don’t feel like their work is being dismissed when I talk about it. Anyway I hope this clears things up, there’s a lot to be learned about critiquing work and I’m most definitely not an expert, but I enjoy talking and some people enjoy listening, and that’s something great about this platform. Improvements can always be made, even for myself !

I don’t feel like if this is the way you’re going to track people’s ‘ability’ on the sticks, that people should be hindered for having longer matches. If someone’s having a long and boring match, that should show through because they won’t be getting awarded points for keeping it interesting, and those who deserve the extra points shouldn’t be hindered because the match is long. In the case of mine and Bobby’s match, it was always going to be long because we both have resiliency and in the match itself, we were pretty well matched throughout. In this system, I don’t think we deserved to be deducted points through something which is no fault of our own. Main event matches realistically should be going longer and if that match is good, it should reflect on the score. Generally, I am of the opinion that the ELO system you had before was better for tracking people’s progress week to week. In this new one, it doesn’t allow people to be compared accurately because some people are booked on more shows than others. The previous system used win percentage and who you beat to come up with your ELO rating, which I think works much better as a comparator. Anyway, I hope you appreciate this feedback and keep up the good work mate.

Really weird tbh, in any case at this point the song is just too inconsistent whether it gets flagged or not to not warrant doing something about it. Kinda sucks but life goes on.
-
Basically the radio edit version of the song doesn’t get blocked but the original does. You literally wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between the sounds of both versions which may well have been why the entrance got blocked but the victory motion was fine. You could have ended up using both the original and edited version in the final edit, causing it to get blocked at the start but not the end. The link I always send if I need to send music is the radio edited version, which works with YouTube.
-
This fucking music man, can’t decide whether it wants to work one week and not the other. I apologise for the inconvenience everyone, looks like at this point I’m just going to have to switch it, this happens way too often.
-
KD’s resil didn’t work, so we re-did the match. Ant and I won again but we decided that this match was better so this is the one that aired. I hope that clears this up. Also on a happier note, Empress is quickly becoming one of my favourites to watch in OCW, so damn kyooooot.

The Final Word Ep #4: Certified Greatness
KANG DOC replied to Mr.Sensation's topic in OCW The Magazine
Will do mate, will be interesting to see how it differs from your Certified Greatness match. -
Just wanted to note, massive apologies on the quality of mine, Ant’s and rusts match. There were so many issues with recordings and audio before the video even got rendered. 9 times out of 10 we would’ve re-done it but this was the one where it wasn’t possible. Even though the video was the worst thing ever, Calum did pretty well imo just to get the video up and even minorly watchable. Again, really sorry to everyone who has to suffer through those 8 minutes, it won’t happen again.

(The other) Adam’s seriously wacky time conscious quickfire Riot Review Taking inspiration from Rudo isn’t so hard when he comes up with such slick methods for reviewing shows. Huge shout out to him for coming up with this method, I’m going to give it a go today in an attempt to get through these quicker as to not get burned out writing these up, and also to help prevent myself from repeating things I’ve said in previous reviews. So, with that in mind, here’s my ten big takeaways from Riot 520: 10. The big running story of tonight’s show was Cort dishing out comeuppance for Shep following on from the last couple of weeks where Shep always seemed to be one step ahead. The tone was set nicely at the beginning, with Cort hilariously evading the guards with his piss, but switched really well into a more serious tone when it counted, culminating with a really nice staredown in the ring leading to Cort being chased off into the stands. This did a lot to advance both the pride title storyline and also the Tayy vs Telos feud, and was really well written and the exact injection of tension both feuds needed to get that excitement level up ahead of the Clash. 9. MATCH Elsa Holmberg & Ace vs Valk & Ashley Moore - This was a really intriguing match going into it with two odd pairings, but I think that worked in this match’s favour, especially with the Ashley/Valk storyline that’s going on at the moment. I still think Ashley’s attire could do with a bit of work to make her look more unique, but keep the heeled boots, since that’s really the only thing that sets her apart at the moment. Valk and Moore working well together in the early goings with a couple of tag team move attempts got this match off to a nice start with them on top. Elsa took a lot of damage in the first half of this match and it showed, with Ace unable to get her partner in without the danger of her getting hit with a finisher. Ace did really well to keep up the fight here, and bring Elsa back into the fight in a much better position in the closing minutes, allowing them to pick up a big win with a huge diving foot stomp. A surprisingly fun match overall, and furthers the idea of Moore and Valk just not being able to co-exist together, especially with the post match RP, good work. 8. Good guy Rusty taking a young French luchador by the name of Aisu under his wing, and he wants a piece of the Uncrowned. Unexpected, but a nice little laying down of the gauntlet here; suppose we’ll be taking him up on that offer. Rust’s having none of it, and I like the idea of Aisu being completely oblivious to Rust’s TTT antics, so he just thinks he’s a completely good guy, although you’d kind of have to be careful with that depending on where you want to take the character of Aisu, whether you want him to be comedic or serious. 7. Blacksmith has improved a hell of a lot since first arriving in OCW, not only with his English and writing skill, but just as a character. With this promo here, he really got across his voice well and he’s really took the bull by the horns here with his LHW title match coming up. What started off as a scrapped match has really developed into something good for TLBS, and this was a perfect continuation of it. 6. One hell of an Ambition hype package, if this is the production standard we should be expecting for the series then I can’t bloody wait to see the finished article. 5. Bobby absolutely destroys Shep on the mic, returning to his best form by not allowing him to get a look in and tearing him apart with some great insults. This is what I want to see Bobby doing, being a lovable dickhead, getting the fans onside by oozing charisma. I felt that this was much more effective, in conjunction with the war of words between him, Cort and Shep a couple of weeks ago, in building the tension between him and Shep, depending on what match we’re getting involving Bobby at the Clash. 4. Blaine and Dragana get into it again with a continuation of the best of 5 series for the title. These are really nicely put together segments, with the comedic aspects of both characters coming across really well and balancing well with the serious threats of both of their in-ring skill. I hope/expect for this to finish up with a one-on-one match for the title at the Clash, or beyond maybe? Either way, this is something I want to see and is once again a really nice angle for an OCW Title match going into the Clash. 3. Classic TTT segment is always going to be entertaining, and we got a couple here, but I'm going to mainly talk about the Clark Effect. Rust got a chance to shine in this one, delivering his trademark ‘Bonjour Idiots’ and really getting across the good guy rusty through Quartz and himself. From the sounds of this, we’re getting Bobby and KD vs CQC for the tag titles, which is going to be a damn good match and if CQC can retain, another pair of veteran guys to add to their kill list. I’m looking forward to watching it unfold. 2. Bobby and Pugh finally get into it with a chaotic brawl in the backstage area. Pugh got his damn ass whooped here, but the only criticism I would have of this is that Pugh was wearing a different attire to what he wore against Cobra and it wasn’t explained why or what have you, but that didn’t take away from this angle’s purpose. 1. MAIN EVENT - P3 vs TTT - I had very high expectations going into this one, and thankfully they delivered very well. As with most main events, I simply sat back and let this one unfold before me. The finish to this one kept everyone looking like a million bucks, with Kass kicking out of the one winged hoot and getting the low blow on Drago to enter the BDDC. Loved Jake’s calling of the Tower of Doom spot, mainly because it was such a natural reaction and so hilarious. Other than that, this one flew by and capped off an excellent show once again. This was another excellent Riot, and didn’t drag whatsoever. The Clash couldn’t come soon enough, and I’m excited for what Yake and I have up our collective sleeve for the Final Word with it. You’re not going to want to miss it, lil bubba. Thanks for reading and nice one everyone. MOTN: P3 vs TTT RPOTN: Tie between Bobby going off on Shep and the post-match angle involving Tayy, Cort, Shep and Telos.

Nothing to add here, let's get on with the review: Lots of women got a chance to shine to open the show. The turmoil women’s division is absolutely wide open right now and it’s great to watch. Good work, ladies. MATCH Valk vs Belle Quick note before the match starts. Belle’s CAW is looking GOODT currently, but I just feel like the brassiere on her attire is a bit bare. At the moment, it looks like she’s wearing a bra with her wrestling gear, rather than actual wrestling attire to cover her modesty, but other than that everything else looked neat and simple. As for the match itself, Belle got a really good showing in her ‘welcome to the big leagues, kid’ match. First move of the match; Valk hits the reverse rana. LOL.Valk hits some of her trademark combos, and the match continues to be a back and forth affair. I love the combo where Valk hits the corner kick into the float-over DDT, looks so graceful when lil bubba does it. Belle has the reversal advantage going into the final stretch with a good use of the possum backpay, but the damage differential is heavily in Valk’s favour. Valk hits the shotgun knee out of nowhere, night night kiddo. That knee looked brutal, I love it! Really nice match to kick off the show. I didn’t notice any glaringly obvious FPR issues with Belle, especially for a debut match too. Valk has taught you well. Intriguing little post match angle with Valk and Blain, and Belle got her babyface moment to save the day. All is well in rainbow and sunshine land. Valk vs Blain is a match I can’t wait to see, Valk’s best character work is always when she’s the determined underdog fighting from below to entertain the fans. In the words of AJ Styles: this is gonna be good. MATCH B17 vs Keith Hendrix Quick note on Keith Hendrix regarding character stuff. First, I would definitely not recommend having ‘Call Me Up’ on the back of your tights if you don’t want people to think you’re a complete rip-off of Velveteen Dream. I thought the video using his footage was an appropriate use of his promo, this just felt like a complete rip-off. A return to our regularly scheduled Bingo for this match. Only issue I have with this is the clear continuity issues that come with suddenly growing hair and then having it come back, unless it was a wig. In that case, then Bingo has the ability to wear other wigs to the ring, and will wear them for matches, so why doesn’t he here? As for the match itself, pretty enjoyable as a whole. Couple of nice character pieces to kick off the match; Hendrix’ moveset fits him well. Nice leg caught spinning heel kick, with Bingo regaining the advantage until Keith reverses again with a nice trip into the bottom rope, following it up with a decapitator on the top rope. Nice moment with Bingo finally hitting the clothesline to the outside, but whiffs on the bingo elbow, sed. Popped for Hendrix hitting the nut grab, if only the game knew the pure phallometry going on in B’s trunks; Keith wouldn’t have stood a chance. Match finish was a bit confusing purely because we couldn’t hear the officials counting properly over the music used, but I think once you got the idea of what was happening then this was an interesting little end to the match. Surprised to see the RAW arena make an appearance, one of you must’ve forgotten to change it when recording it and didn’t notice/didn’t care to change it. Whatever the reason, just make sure that it’s all at the right location next time. Waheey, we got an RP with all three members of the Experience in there at some point, at long last. Good to see the beginnings of an Experience vs OtaKru feud coming on, some quite nice matches you can spin from that, Outlaw Prince vs Anime Prince? You can leave my royalties in my pigeon box. Cheers. In all seriousness, glad to see The Experience kicking into gear finally so keep this up. CQC come up with an absolutely foolproof plan to get the Inception suspended for Riot 520. This was a nice little change of pace from the usual CQC ‘Bonjour, idiots’ promo, good shit boys. The Empress is here. This was a nice little surprise to see. Short segment and got to the point, there’s something to build on here with FloJo so it’ll be good to see you flex your writing muscles. Aaaaaand we’re back to our regular CQC douchebag segment. Nice to see them get a little bit of comeuppance with Quartz barred from ringside for the match. Makes sense in terms of storyline, what with them being involved with attacking myself and Ant a couple of weeks ago. Continuity is goodt and me like, so well done Yake and French man. MATCH Loki vs Rust Cohle You seem to forget that it’s B17 controlling Loki all this time, since he always comes out looking like he’s about to get his arse kicked. No lie, TTT as a whole probably have the best music in OCW. Idk what it is about it but I just love it. Whichever one of you is on music duty, good work. Weirdly epic music going into the match, but it did get me hyped to watch so I’m not complaining. First couple minutes of this match nicely back and forth with neither man able to score a significant advantage. Loki’s in control until Rust gets a sweet reversal of the top rope dive into the sit out powerbomb, then here comes the Frenchman! Rust brings the damage back to even but Loki gets the red damage he needs and hits the finisher and… Rust kicks out! This match is picking up. Either man can win it, the both have the damage needed to finish. Sweet springboard dropkick into the double down. Loki hits the red arrow from halfway across the ring, damn. Rust’s up shit creek without a paddle here. He reverse the fin though into a huge lariat. Another reversal into the finisher by Loki and that’ll do it. But here’s Quartz motherfucker, looking badass in his street clothes with the kendo stick. Brutal beatdown here, god damn. Concussion city for Loki. Rounded off with the black phoenix through the announce desk. Gotta get that heat back, brother. Wholesome RP with Terra, Elsa and Jehst up next and this contrasted well with the Alyssa Winters promo directly afterwards. Nice point to reiterate here about how stacked the women’s division is at the moment. Loads of great writers, and loads of nice angles coming out of this show especially, really good to see. Already mentioned in the past few weeks, but I’m loving the CCW title picture right now. This was a nice continuation of this feud with Jay Fury getting involved to keep the idea that Scumciety are still a unit ticking over. MATCH Damian Bourne vs Austin Lee Good clean match with Bourne looking dominant to begin with. A couple of distractions by Mistico worked well in this match and of course lead to the finish. Lee making a nice comeback with some cool power moves, just ragdolling the smaller man around the ring. Nice couple of exchanges and suddenly game on. Both men go red and orange and the tensions picking up. Ref goes down and mistico interferes with a big roundhouse, surprised he could get his leg up that high lol. Bourne gets him back in the ring and goes for a neckbreaker, only to be caught with a huge boot, nice moment. Lee fends off Mistico outside the ring but gets caught with with the rainmaker DDT for his troubles. Big win for Bourne and I dug the post match angle, using the other guys’ finishers in a beatdown. Nice C-Community video, although for this one I would’ve loved to have seen you use some really jolly music over the top to juxtapose you beating up the guys. I just think that would’ve made for a more effective video, by playing off the contrast of characters between OtaKru and Jackman, but other than that, this was excellent stuff. I wonder if we’re going to get a big multi-man match for the Pride title, because that is something I’d like to see, and to be fair, all signs point that way. This was a nice RP by Cort as you’d expect and keeps the tension high between all these guys. Good shit. ME: Aries vs Wrex Not going to go into too much detail on this one because this was a match where I just at back and decided to enjoy what I was watching. Match psychology was so on point with this one, along with Yake and Kramer’s forensic analysis made this a really enjoyable match. Good finish, with intriguing implications having Trance come out to make the save rather than Lee. Perfect end to an overall decent show. MOTN: Aries vs Wrex. No doubt about this one. RPOTN: Got to be Cort’s monologue on the pride title picture. This promo gave him genuine motivations to want to fight Minio, and also called out the other guys staking their claim to the title. Nothing much to add either here. Lots of exciting events coming up in OCW; a little bit for everybody with The Clash, Ambition and Lucha Kaboom on the horizon. Production quality has really took a step up this year and long may it continue. Nice work, everyone.

Alright, no time to waste, let’s get into these notes shall we? Felt good to be back into the swing of things here without a mountain of a show to read. Without further ado, here’s my notes for Riot 519: The Incepti(nception)on To be honest, the opening segment didn’t really do it for me.This was a kinda cheesy segment when I prefer my main event storylines to be more grounded and gritty. Like for instance, I just can’t see KD Angelo going on a radio show to do a rap, I feel like it just makes the inception seem like a comedy act, when they’re actually a really powerful force full of top guys/gals. Doc vs Braddock Fortunately, I managed to get the post match RP debacle sorted. It’s now available in the Promo Room, so I’m sorry if you got confused reading the RP with me, Ev, and KD, I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again. The only thing I’ll say about this match is my FPR mistake with the extra attack, but I tried to even it out by letting Braddock hit a move on me, sorry about that! Other than that, it’s on to you lot. Little message about grammar Something I noticed throughout was the use of abbreviations in promos, please don’t do this. Seeing things like ‘thru’ in H2O’s promo doesn’t make character sense as I don’t get the impression that that would be how he speaks. Also noticed a couple of formatting and grammatical errors in the Ashley and Benjamin promo, and while it was good to see you staying active, please make sure you proofread and preview your work before it goes out, especially for those who don't speak English as their native language, otherwise it just looks a bit naff. Blain vs Valk Man, do I hate Valk’s pyro or what. That aside, Valk had some nice combos in this match, like the corner jumping kick into the float-over ddt. Also Blain drilling Valk with the big boot when she was doing the ‘Valk’ chant was great. Valk getting majored at the end into Blain’s finisher! Good shit. Tre lays down the gauntlet That’s twice in two weeks someone has staked their claim to the pride championship. I’m excited to see if this leads somewhere or if it was all just a coincidence. Nice to see Tre back into the swing of things and getting featured on riot again. Good shit. Antonio Everrett vs KD Angelo Quick note before we get into the match, Antonio EVERRETT is spelt wrong on the website and on the YouTube video. Two R’s, not one. Of course I was rooting for my tag partner in this one, but even in defeat Ev had one damn good showing, if only he could hit that damn knee! Very enjoyable back and forth affair, either man could’ve won that by the end. Couple of nice moments in this one: Ev hitting the knees to the outside, KD with the apron powerbomb just for Ev to come back to beat the count! And the handshake at the end was a nice moment. Only thing I would say is KD was over-aggressive at times, a bit too much crappling for my liking. Other than that, good shit. ALSO this should be the final time you see a weird cut after about ten minutes of watching a match of mine or Calum’s. Yake taught me how to use Mixer on Xbox to record so in turn I taught Ant, so we should be all good once it stops playing up. Cort, Bobby and Shep rip into each other Cort and Shep killed it being at each others’ throat in this segment, but I’m confused as to what Bobby Minio getting involved here means for the tag team picture. I was under the impression that it’d be Bobby and KD vs CQC at the clash, but with Bobby here either H2O or Bobby will have to pull double duty since it now seems like they’ll be fighting over the OCW Heavyweight and Pride Titles respectively. Confusing times. Other than that, this segment was written excellently and flowed well throughout. Quartz vs ???? Well, this was a nice surprise. Quartz is by no means a small dude but my god Lee dwarfs him. This match pleased me aesthetically as both CAWs look awesome and this was a nice short match with some nice psychology thrown in there, with both men trying to out power-move each other throughout. This was a match I had no idea I wanted to see, a lot like the Drago vs Quartz match from a couple of weeks ago, good shit. Quartz picks up the win here and asserts his dominance as the superior tag team champion. + These twitter exchanges between Buddy Burns and MJF were great. A lot of the question marks I had for MJF’s character seem to be beginning to be answered here so that was good to see. ME - Pugh vs Spider A lot of nice exchanges to kick this one off. Couple of nice strike exchanges, then the leaning taught in the corner from Pugh! Couple more move exchanges, neither man getting a significant advantage then Hoot Strike! Nice bit of psychology with Pugh exiting the ring after a reversal to catch his breath but then he gets caught with a pughdigree for his troubles! Sneaky veteran tactics from Pugh to get the high ground then he falls short on the dive, LOL. Pugh kicks out the Khallas at one, TWICE. Pugh’s got the advantage here but PEPPERTON SLEEPER out of nowhere, holy shit. Pugh gets out, lands the pughdigree for the win. G fucking g. MOTN: Pugh vs Spider, no doubt about it, what a match, my lord. RPOTN: Cort, Shep and Bobby’s in ring segment has to take it for me. Excellently written, with a lot of intrigue concerning the Clash. Overall, this show was a nice change of pace from the consistently massive shows we’ve been getting for the last few weeks. Surprised to see no Kass for the duration of this show, especially considering he’s been a staple guy for so long on Riot, but a well earned break nonetheless. A couple of issues here and there, but all in all a bloody good show. Nice one everyone.

Following the three count Doc Green gets up and starts to celebrate his win. Braddock sits up and starts to twitch his face. This twitch works it’s way throughout his whole upper body. The look across his face is pure insanity, a bit of confusion mixed with anger and fear. Braddock starts to frantically look around before getting up and charging at an unaware Green. He yells something almost inaudible as he charges. Braddock: YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND! Too quick to react, he lariats Green from behind, leaving Green face first on the ring floor. Braddock stands over Green yelling in a choppy tone. Braddock: Youuu... You need to listen! Braddock starts to look around in what can only be described as shock. It appears he’s being brought back to reality and realizes for the first time since he entered the ring that there is an arena full of people around him. His facial expression changes to represent the terror he’s feeling inside. Braddock: You ALL need to listen! Braddock shifts his attention back to the downed Green. He grabs him by the neck and lifts him from the floor slowly pushing Green above his head with both hands, signaling that a Bad Day Bomb is coming. Just as he gets his arms fully extended a loud cheer booms around the arena, as Doc's tag team partner, Antonio Everrett, makes a beeline for the ring, still visibly showing the effects of a damaged arm with a large bandage covering his left shoulder and bicep. He makes his way into the ring, grabbing Doc and letting him fall to the side, before pushing Braddock away and inaudibly shouting obscenities at him while squaring up to him. Braddock: ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS LISTEN. Braddock slowly backs up and makes his way out of the ring, still twitching and growling and grabbing at his face and hair, with Everrett turning his attention to Doc, attending to him as the camera shifts back to the announce team.

Super Turmoil Note tings: Tired Edition Alright, it's about time I got these Turmoil notes out. Firstly, I want to say that this was probably the most RP collaboration I have ever seen on a single show to this point. As Jake so eloquently put: 'The collective OCW erection that built up over the last 4 weeks is close to an explosive climax'. And climax it did. Anyway, I'm going to do my best to rattle off all of my notes coming off the back of a couple hours sleep after the hilarous OCD&D session (which you should definitely check out on Twitch). So here it is: New Year, New Champ - This opening segment was straight up great. Watching this open the show, from Kass' new music, to the visuals of all the guys facing off, made the Riot main event scene feel big once again following on from the lackluster Nomad feud. - By the end, with the rest of TTT added to the mix, all people involved here had a chance to shine except Rusty, so that would be my only criticism of this segment; I want to see more 'Bonjour, idiots'. ALL YOUR B-COMMUNITY ARE BELONG TO US - I'm just gonna briefly mention all of the C-Community clips here so I don't have to keep coming back to it. These were all really nice, short videos and really solidified Jackman's shift in character towards this maniacal tyrant, and away from 'Box Man'. Good shit. #WhyBookMJF? - To me, MJF just feels a bit directionless. The promos are good and well-written and all, but they kind of get lost within the shuffle for me. There were a lot of words, bruh on page 1 and 2, so it was easy for this one to be drowned out by lots of other content all poured in to start the show. I feel like he's missing a bit of 'umph' to really become prominent, but I'm sure that'll come with time. Telos vs MJF - This match was the biggest down point of the show by quite a way. Firstly, it was really long, so even before I watched it I felt like it'd drag, amplified by the fact it did actually drag. There were two major FPR breaks which I'm sure both guys are acutely aware of by now, but nevertheless if I was Telos I'd feel pretty hard done by here, especially considering he got his arse kicked for a lot of the match. - To be honest, I would've hoped that a veteran like Dimsmore had recognised the mistakes, unless they went over both of your heads. Even so, surely the person editing the video would've seen the breaks? You two are better than this match showed, and there's a lesson to be learnt here about double checking your matches and leaving ample time before the deadline to get stuff in if possible. Teenage Mutant Ninja Bournistico - It felt really good to see Bourne and Mistico involved in so many RPs on this show. Seems like the controversial rookie graduation class might have given you the kick up the arse that you needed to really kick into gear, and now following on from this show you have something really to dig your teeth into with this tag team title shot coming up. - Another good thing to mention about these RPs is that you managed to get some of the new guys involved as well, as well as Benji Moore. Now, just to stay consistent, but this was some damn good work. Keep it up. Code Jackman vs Velveteen Keith - In all seriousness, I'm digging the Keith Hendrix gimmick right now. To me, I feel he adds enough to the character to not make it a complete rip-off of Velveteen Dream, with the Twitch stuff in the entrance, and your moveset is pretty suitable for what you're going for. You clearly know how to work and editor, so as I said for the other turmoil rooks and sophomores it's all about consistency here. Your FPR is pretty good to this point, probably a result of all those DMs you've been doing since you got here, and this was a nice starting point for you. Always good to get a win when you're just starting out. - Jackman looking great with his new look, looking a lot more professional and clean in general. Well done on making Jackman feel fresh Kramer, doing a great job b. This match was nice and short, and a tidy affair. Yake and his Action Figures - Another quality couple of RPs here with Dillinger, Tayy, and a bit of Telos sprinkled in towards the end of the show. Only criticism I'd have of this Tayy vs Dillinger and Telos feud is that if Telos is going to be the man to fight Tayy considering Jake can't face himself (although he probably would if he could), I would like to see them come face to face a bit more. It was a hot start to this feud but I feel like it's cooled off quite a bit since Tayy made his return. TWITCH THOT - Even if no-one knows who Winters' handler is, this RP gives direction to both her and Terra, and was nicely coordinated as you'd expect with Jake. Good to see more womens' feuds going on again now that Valk v Heather has run its course. RIP Cort Marshall - Glad to see Cort v Shep continuing with a nice, fresh confrontation RP here, with the Career Suicide video taking centre stage. This popped me and was hilarious, and I'm loving the character arcs both these guys are taking at the moment, with the title prize for the winner taking a secondary role in the best way possible. Wholesome Valk is wholesome, still could beat her in a rap battle though - From the sounds of things in this RP, Valk seems to be taking a bit of time off from wrestling, having dealt with Eastern European warlords and literal Demons, just the usual. In all seriousness, this RP had some great moments, with some nice uses of juxtaposition of the characters of Ashley and Valk sprinkled throughout. Excited to see where this angle goes, I feel it has a lot of traction in it and could do a lot for Ashley's character. DragO' Mac vs Spider (LHW Title) - Popped for all of the Drago Mac shit going on in this segment + match. In my opinion, this is the blueprint for how far referencing real life in OCW should go. This was brilliant. - JESUS FUCKING CHRIST SPIDER WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT THING? So unexpected and if I'm honest, took me out of the match a little. It just made no sense to me, maybe I'm missing something, idk. - This match was clean as fuck from start to finish, but Drago once again looking like an absolute beast with that title on absolute lockdown, another notch in his belt with another successful defence, onto the next one. Heatheriosa - Unlike Valkyrie, Heather seems to have fared slightly worse with the outcome of the Ladies' Night match. This RP was pretty POWERFUL in getting across Heather's vulnerability . having been such a cold and calculating character for so long. The inclusion of H2O to help get this across was very intriguing and I'm excited to see where this one goes. Good stuff overall. CQC vs Uncrowned - I'm only going to briefly touch on this match because I don't really like talking about my own stuff, that's for you lot to do. This was so much fun be involved with, even if I did get my shit pushed in by the champs. Rusty and Yake are always a pleasure to work with, and here's hoping we get to do more in the future. Bournistico vs OtaKru - These attires were cool as fuck, but just a few criticisms before we get into the match itself. I hoped that Mistico and Bourne would've removed the shells while in the match and Bray would've lost the halo. Just feel like the match suffered having to watch two guys with fat plastic shells on their back and one with a floating halo on his head have a match, but other than that, these made Bournistico feel like a 'real' team, same goes for OtaKru wearing matching colours (kind of). - Great use of tag team moves here by Bournistico. They can be difficult to pull off in a comp match, but it always makes the match look better if you see them come off. Really digging the Rascalz' moonsault push thingy that you did, looked fucking awesome. - This match was pretty long, but coming out of this show, Bournistico have a lot of momentum and this is a good sign going forward for you two. Good shit, credit where it's due. Mugen vs B17 (Safety First - Extreme Rulez) - Popped for the return of classic Bingo. Another mad long match, but it helped that two vets were taking part to make this enjoyable despite clocking in at almost 27 minutes. This was very easily a PPV worthy match. Capo blew up a fucking studio - Holy shit, poor Jehst man. Nothing like a bit of demolition to kick a feud into gear. Good shit lol, this was excellent. Glad to see Jehst, and Capo for that matter, back into the swing of things with a really nice and intriguing RP here. Jehst is so good at building sympathy for his character, it all flows so naturally even if the Hollywood star gimmick leans more towards a heel, but you make it work so well. Good stuff. Lee vs Aries vs Trance - Coming out of this match, it felt like a breath of fresh air has come over the title pictures on Turmoil. I'm liking the Austin Aries partnership to this point, there's a hell of a lot of traction in that team as a tag team and also the eventual split so that's always a positive. Also good to see Wrex back in CCW Title contention, although I didn't recognise him when he first turned up after the match lol. - As for the match itself, this was just a clean as fuck, technical match between three top guys on Turmoil. Good shit, enough said. MAIN EVENT: Pugh vs H2O - First, a brief mention for commentary. It always adds to the match. Jake mentioned something about it pretty much having no downside, and I completely agree. - This match flowed really well start to finish, with a nice callback with the use of the split-legged moonsault and eventual kick out. There were a couple of nice moments like this throughout, and this was thoroughly enjoyable. - Loving Booby being added to the main event mix to close out this show. So many matchups I really want to see again between these four guys, and this rounded off a really excellent show. Alright, so I think that's all of it. Loads of positive stuff getting started here going into the Clash. Feels weird writing stuff out again having done a couple of Final Words with Jake (and special guests) and we have a couple more SPECIAL guests lined up for you lot for the next couple of big shows, really excited to get those people on so watch this space. We're not planning on doing one for Lucha Kaboom, that'll be just writing but after that, it's Lution season baby. Shameless plugging out the way, overall this show was a massive success. So much good stuff coming out of it and a massive improvement from the Turmoils before Devil's Night. MOTN: Going to have to go with Bournistico vs OtaKru. Bournistico stepped their game up on this show, and I'm hopeful for that consistency we've not had to this point, and them picking up the win here capped off a great show for them. RPOTN: The opening segment for me. Everyone looked great coming out of that one (except Rusty who should've had a better chance to shine), so there you have it.

Here’s my notes for the Riot 518 Su-su-su-supershow. This show was a lot of fun and the production on it was amazing. So first and foremost, a huge thank you to Jay, Jake and everyone else who put the finishing touches on this show and made it feel special. I don’t expect that this’ll be the quality of production on every one but this was really excellent. My notes aren’t massively in chronological order, as so much went on, but without further ado, let’s get on with it: Minio makes a kid choke on a hotdog. God I love Booby’s brand of humour. This was a cracking opening to the show and was a great continuation of him calling out Kass. I’m hoping something comes of this past Devil’s Night once we move on from the No(t around)mad stuff with (fingers crossed) H2O mixed in there if Doc isn’t too preoccupied for the time being. Once again, congratulations mate and I can’t wait to see you back. Constance Fury vs Ashley Moore This was an enjoyable match as Ashley seems to be improving every week, and all power to her for taking initiative and getting herself featured every week. What I would say is I’d like to see more from Constance. She was briefly in the Lee/Wrex press conference but other than that as far as I’m aware she’s been in no other RPs. Other than that, this was a solid segment and this was a good showcase of the ever-improving Turmoil women’s division. Cort Marshall nearly swings a baseball bat at a small European woman. This was a great continuation of the Cort/Shep feud as per the usual. I thought this really built Cort up to give zero fucks about his own safety and will make for a pretty insane matchup come DN. All of these segments made perfect character sense and were a lot of fun to read. I can’t wait for these two to tear it up at DN which makes me sad that we won’t see blood due to 2K’s online restrictions. The Riot women will not be outdone! It has to be said, everyone involved in this Heather/Valk storyline really killed it on this show, with Terra and Alexa Hayes getting themselves into the mix, creating a really interesting dynamic going into, and hopefully beyond, DN. Firstly, Valk answering some of her critics made me chuckle and feel personally attacked in equal measures, but to be fair I thought your reasoning was good and I will gladly accept your forgiveness. That being said, let’s leave it at this Valk: I could definitely beat you in a rap battle. Boom. Anyway, I digress. Secondly, the Heather backstage attack angle was very intriguing coupled with the interactions between her LITERAL DEMON and Alexa, as well as the intrigue surrounding Valk’s state going into DN. Bring on DN, this go-home angle was great. Finally, it was nice to see Jett Draven back with a cameo appearance even if it made no sense at all, or maybe it did idk. Either way, I hope this is his returning for good and he doesn’t disappear into the shadows again. Wrex calls #Austin Lee a rust bucket. I thought this press conference was a lot of fun and played well into the whole #Retired Lee thing going on as it would’ve been easy to overlook the fact that he had to retire due to medical issues. I assume that this will become a factor as the DN card has Aries and Loki v Scumciety but this was probably my favourite segment from this feud so far. #Drago4GM (maybe). I have to say I popped pretty hard for the ‘I not best in the world’ line. That’s pretty much it for this segment, just solid Drago and Quartz work as always. More on the match itself to come! Capo steals the show. This segment really reminded me how good Capo can be as a writer. I have to say, it was a pretty rocky start to the season for him, but man was this a return to form or what. The written voice you put across here was great and contrasted really well with Jehst and Elsa’s calmness, and brought together this RP really well. Plus, I enjoyed the added tidbit of continuing to build Jehst v Archer, so altogether this was a really nice bit of character progression for you both as Capo continues to find his feet again in OCW. This was awesome. Damian Bourne vs Wrex You can tell Bourne has improved a lot in his matches over the course of this season. Now, I think there’s an opportunity for you and Mistico to get some shit done in the Turmoil tag division considering how thin it is at the top for the moment. For you two, I think consistently writing and developing your characters will be the key to allowing you to step up (funny that), as your two’s ability on the sticks isn’t really the question. I’d say for you the question is your attitude towards taking advice and criticism, and simply getting featured every week, which you two are in pretty unique situations with Bourne getting matches almost every week and Mistico’s winning streak. No-one wants you to fail, just get on the pen more and you’ll be fine. H2O vs Rust Cohle I thought Kass here on commentary was a really nice touch, but I was hoping for him to be involved more particularly towards the end of the match. Sad not to see H2O continue his momentum going into DN, and if I had to pick holes in this one I would’ve had some kind of altercation between Kass and H2O at the end of this match as a kind of final confrontation, but other than that this match was entertaining and my god is Rust’s new finish dangerous. Bobby Minio vs Shepherd Really dig the new Shep look; new hair, new gear, new music, new everything. Thought he looked like an absolute killer which is exactly what I was hoping for and that’s pretty much it for this match. Booby’s theme is still a tune and I was sad to not see him continue his winning streak. Now I’m done. THE SKY IS FALLING Thank the heavens we saw a Turmoil rookie RP that wasn’t from Ashley Moore or Capo on this show. Benji, I thought your writing voice came across well but I think you might find it tough writing more serious stuff in that kind of ton. Obviously, that can be refined but it was good to see you represent yourself on this show and we learned something new about you; Benji has what I want to say is a Jamaican accent? Correct me if I’m wrong but still, it’s character development. Please, for the love of God stay consistent with this. Right now it feels like every turmoil rookie (excluding Ashley and Capo) is taking turns writing or producing one RP per show between them. Everyone needs to chip in otherwise shit stagnates, which was one of these here’s another reminder for you lot to START PRODUCING CONTENT. Consistently. Please. Main Event: Commentary tings, my guy. Okay, so this match was excellent and didn’t drag at all for a 15 minute ish match. Quartz proved he could hang with the best and even though he came out with an L, I don’t think he has anything to be ashamed of. This was a really nice end to an overall very exceptional show. That being said, I think one of the main reasons that this match didn’t seem to drag was because of the commentary provided by Yake. And while yes, the mic quality wasn’t perfect (no fault of your own), if this was your first time having a go at commentary, especially on your own, this was pretty damn good. I think having actual play-by-play commentary rather than the very entertaining ramblings of Jay lived up to the ‘SUPER IMMERSION’ tag a lot better than I expected it to. Kudos to Jake, really nice work from you, and if this is how DN is going to be presented, my god you lot are really spoiling us with the work you put in. This was a really fantastic show from top to bottom, to be honest my only gripes with it were that Nomad didn’t turn up again, and maybe there could’ve been something in there to build the CCW Title match. Overall though, from the thumbnails, to the commentary, to the RPs, to the matches themselves, this is a show which really emphasised the amount of work we put in as the OCDub lads (and lady), and was a show full of highlights. My Grade: 9.5/10

Here's my notes for Turmoil 216, this one isn't going to be as long as not so much noteworthy happened on the show: 1. Real shame that this stupid game put a damper on Constance Fury vs Ace. Constance looks great, but so do all of Aries' CAWs, however this match soured on me a bit as I couldn't see past the glitch and by the end I was glad to see it had finished. 2. Good to see Ashley Moore adding wrinkles to her character consistently, but I just think she needs some direction to really get her off the ground this season. This promo was fine, and lets us know she's still around, but ultimately will become a forgettable one once she gets something to do (hopefully) soon. 3. My God did B17 look strong in this show or what lol. Firstly, he managed to not lose to the CCW champion and was actually closer to getting back in the ring than Trance was when the draw was called. Then, later on in the same night, beat the number one contender to the CCW Title with minimum health to start off with as well as a red and yellow body part. Obviously, this says something about B's ability on the sticks, but if I'm honest watching this made me less excited to watch the CCW Title match. Think of it this way: How am I going to believe JackMo has a chance against Trance if he can't even beat B17 who was already beaten up? I would've liked to see some kind of power-of-editing post-match stuff so JackMo didn't look like a complete mug, maybe a DQ finish or something like that purely just because of how badly the comp match went for him. 4. Jehst v Archer is for me consistently the best thing on Turmoil. This was a great continuation of their feud and probably the highlight of the show RP-Wise. 5. I noticed with the Bourne v TLBS match that between the entrances and the beginning of the match Damian's magically fluctuating tattoos disappearing and reappearing between cuts. Also thought it was worth mentioning that the song used for the match reminded me hard of SvR 2007, I think it was on the soundtrack lol, but I still popped. It's always worth looking over your edit when you think you've finished it, but other than that this match was pretty good, a bit long but probably Matteo's best match since starting. Also, Damian I counted a couple of claimed finishers you still have in your move-set, particularly the Hip Toss/Knee which Antonio Everrett uses and the TKO which Jehst still uses as far as I'm aware. 6. Expectedly, the ME was probably match of the night. Since I mentioned it with Bourne, it's worth noting again I noticed a weird switch in attire for Aries but with both him and Bourne I'm nitpicking, I thought this match told a good story and the post-match angle, while we could all see it coming, was a nice progression in this story to close the show. And that's all from me folks. For the most part, this show was fine but I felt like little issues here and there really plagued this show. My grade: 6/10 P.S Here is another reminder that (especially the new) Turmoil rookies need to step tf up and DO SOMETHING, please. P.P.S Sorry that this write-up seems so negative so I'm just going to quickly list off a few good things about this show which I've already mentioned before: Nice Dillinger story progression, Yake is really coming into his own as a writer especially with Dillinger I feel, Some nice intrigue surrounding Valk and the mystery caller, Cort v Shep in Extreme Rulez is a yes pls and I hope it only gets more insane from there. That'll do it from me.

I completely understand bro. Congratulations on the birth of your kid, your family should absolutely be your number one priority right now so take your time getting back into the swing of things here. I look forward to seeing you back in due time but I'm sure this is a really busy and overwhelmingly happy time for you, and I wish you all the best.
