  1. We join Maxx Edwards in front of the Combat Center ahead of his scheduled training session. Maxx: I guess this is the place. Maxx enters the center and approaches the front desk woman. Maxx: I have an appointment here at 1:30. The lady checks the outdated computer screen for all appointments made under the time slot. Receptionist: Maxx Edwards? Maxx: In the living flesh! Maxx flashes a smile only to be met by an emotionless blank stare. Receptionist: Alright, your trainer will be right with you. The lady turns to face a back room before beginning to screech. Receptionist: TOM...GET OUT HERE! A heavy-setted fellow exits the door. Maxx: Archer!? Archer: Edwards!? Maxx & Archer together: What are you doing here? Maxx: I’m here to work on my in-ring abilities. Archer: I’m here to work. Maxx shoots Archer a puzzled look. Archer: I’m waiting on this Lution refund debacle being rectified, so I am working here and… Somewhere else… In the mean time. Edwards blinks. Archer: Now get in the ring and show me some up and overs. Edwards blinks as Archer looks at his watch. Archer: This is your time you’re wasting, not mine. Edwards rolls into the ring, Archer follows and backs him into a corner, Edwards looks confused and receives a shoulder to the midriff for his efforts. Archer straightens him up. Archer: Counter me with an up and over. Archer whips Edwards towards the corner and follows slightly afterwards. The nimble man hops upwards, performing a half-handstand on the ropes and springs backwards over Archer’s head. He runs off and rebounds from the ropes, avoiding an Archer clothesline for his troubles but in the way back eats a drop kick to the legs. He flips over and clutches at his left knee. Archer: You should always be ready, much like Bitch Coward should be ready for my return to take his International title. Edwards gets up, slapping his knee to get the circulation back into it. Edwards: What's stopping you going back right this minute? Archer: I have my students, you, Elijah… Plus Maximus is taking longer than expected to adjust to the ma… The magnitude of what happened against Doc. Edwards appears suspicious and goes to voice his opinion but receives a kick to the gut and Archer re-runs the drill, this time though he avoids the low-drop kick by performing a diving roll. Archer gets up and takes a much higher drop kick for this effort, just barely getting a hand up to sponge the damage a little. He takes a bump and rolls out under the bottom rope, heading straight towards the water fountain. Archer: And break for now!

  2. Previews have been dead since Lution(not that long ago) so here I am, my Consequence 2020 match preview/prediction/outlook. Inspired by Tucker's review and by B telling people to go review stuff. Screw you B17, you can't tell me what to do. Anyways, lets get into it. Anthony Baker vs. Cort Marshall - Last Chance Triple Threat On this one, I am pulling hard for Cort Marshall. Its not a knock on the other guys its just their teammates are fighting each other higher up the card. My problem with this match and part of why I don't want to see Harvey or Tre twice tonight is continuity. In our current comp setting, there is not any continuity. Wrestlers can be in multiple matches in one night seamlessly. For comp sake and for story-line, I would like to see health carried over in multiple matches in one nigh(i.e. Cort wins but his head is red, he goes into the Tag Match with a yellow head). This would make it harder for people to have Superman performances, thus making them mean more, but in this case it would also reward Lucha Country for their performance in the TTC or be part of story for the Tre v Harvey match. Obviously this is hard to do with the current game due to Momentum and stuff that would be hard to reset but its a nice thought. Moving on from this rabbit hole of a discussion, GO USA. Jerome Hamilton vs. Doc Green This match is cool. Following his win at Lution, Doc kinda needs to win to keep his momentum going and possibly get back into the title picture, and Hamilton looks to establish himself. With that being said, I am hoping for a Hamilton win in this one as new credible stars helps everyone here and it would be a bit poetic for the former Rookie world champ to lose to a rookie. Joshua Tucker vs. The Last Blacksmith I feel like this match is a must win for both. TLB coming off a return needs to pick up some steam and Tucker coming off a loss at Lution and is going through some character changes so he needs to build credibility. I feel like we all expect a TLB win here but I am pulling hard for Tucker on this one. The Tucker-Caine story-line looks promising as a new Duo-Team-Faction type thing and I wanna see where it goes. To add on to that, a TLB win would certainly put us road for TLB v Caine at Cide, I would like to see an upset. Why not have people be like "Oh...Tucker gone become a bad guy and then he gone beat Blacksmith...Well I'll be damned" Ashley Moore vs Valkyrie Love to see Ashley go crazy after losing the championship at Lution and Valkyrie reclaiming the gold and her spot at the top of the division. The one thing I do hate, however, is short title reigns(or flip-floppy champs) so I am gonna gave to go for Valkyrie on this one and keep her strong after just winning the belt. I also really want to see what happens to Moore if she doesn't win the gold. Will she get hit with the stick of sanity or will her mental state continuously go bonkers until it reaches a breaking point where something crazy happens. Either way, I wanna know. While a crazed title run does sound fun, I wanna see where she goes without it. Lucha Country vs ??? For this one, I'm going to assume that Marshall wins, although it doesn't really matter. I am looking for a Lucha Country win here. Their buddy duo with contrasting styles is great. Plus, they have a little side story going on with Parca and Everett that could potentially lead to the reformation of The Uncrowned, which I am all for. I loved them as a team and felt they did not get their moment because of CQC's dominance but now the whole division is up in the air. I do love Hollywood USA (their merch is great) but I am pulling for Lucha on this one. Same thing applies to Golden Cobra and B20. Wrex vs. B17 - Last Man Standing This match has some interesting dynamics. First, comp-wise, I don't know how a Last Man Standing Match is gonna work and I'm all for finding out. I assume they're gonna still have to hit a finisher on red+yellow before ending but does Resil still work. Will B17 have to use Instant Recovery or will his champ advantage be thrown to the wayside? Either way, I think this match has the potential for a lot of fun. While I am pretty sure that Last Man Standing is entirely luck based, hopefully the game allows for some close counts and we don't have to see too many early-pickups because the ref starts counting when he's not supposed to or because the other person just won't get up. Now onto the story aspect, B17 has obviously reverted back to his old ways and given the two participants' history is the favorite. However, a Wrex underdog/comeback story-line is never out of the cards and is kinda what his scummy character is based on. However, I already said how I feel about keeping new champs strong and this is no exception, so I am hoping for a B17 win but a Wrex will keep me more than entertained. Tre Golden vs. H20 A Lution rematch, or Tre v Harvey DOS(technially TRES but the first one was a year ago). Normally I don't like rematches, especially back to back PPVs(let some new dudes have a shot), but their Lution Match was poorly received so I am all for letting these two great competitors going out and showing everybody that they can have a great match with each other. Shut the naysayers. With that being, you guys know how I like my new champs. I really hope these two don't trade wins and want Harvey to win. Jacob Trance vs. Nate Ortiz - Once In a Lifetime To begin, being a rookie, I barely know anything about these dudes other than Nate is THE Franchise and is basically the Man and that Trance's mask is cool as hell. With that being said, this is a Main Event level match if there ever was one. And I absolutely LOVE the fact that this match is on a "smaller" PPV instead of Cide or Lution. It gives these guys a main event spotlight without taking a big PPV main event slot from "current-day" stars that are trying to cement their legacy. If this went on after the Chamber, it would be TERRIBLE. and would take away a piece from B17's legacy that he is building where he became freed from Kasstianity and won the gold on the biggest stage. But back to this match, I clearly don't have much stake in this match. Trance is returning so a win for him would be huge, but Nate already beat Jehst so he already "shook the rust off". I also booked Jamie to win the gold earlier so Nate can have this one. And before someone tries to do a whole 180 and turn this on me, I don't know any spoilers for any of these matches or storylines going on after. This is just my opinion. So there you have it! The card overall looks great and OCWFED as a whole has been on a little roll as of late so lets keep it going and have a great show.
  3. The scene fades in with the camera staring at a golden nameplate with the words “Maxx Edwards - Founder” imprinted on it. After a pan, we see Maxx staring through a floor to ceiling window looking over at Maxx Edwards Talent Agency’s beautiful view of the City of Angels, Los Angeles. Maxx is promptly interrupted by a knocking at his door which he immediately attends to and answers. Maxx: Oh! Dan! I was told you wanted to speak with me. Come in. At the door is Daniel Egonov, Director of Marketing, who enters the room and sits with Maxx, opposite of his desk. Maxx’s assistant, Tracy, follows behind Dan and joins the two in a chair to the side. Dan: How was the flight this morning? Maxx: Not bad actually, allowed me to uh...clear my head, which felt nice after recent events. Dan: Well, I see no point in beating to the bush so I’m going to go right to the chase. Dan leaps out of his seat and starts gesturing as he starts talking with very exaggerated movements. Dan: As the two of you know, Maxx, it has been a little over a year, since you made the switch over to the Pro Wrestling world. Maxx: Okay… Dan: And while the team here did not think it made the most financial sense, you cited it as an “Aspiration” of yours and that it would pay off “Eventually”. Well, the team here has now been able to put together a full “12 Month Report” of how everything has been since you signed with OCWFED. Maxx: Oh boy…put me down nicely. Dan: Here, I’ll start with the good news. Looking over at our finances, while we have fallen behind expectations set before the change, we are fully operational. On top of that, we do plan to stay fully operational moving forward. The wrestling world has brought you some new sponsors, and we have fully taken advantage of our cut. On top of that, working with Archer did pay out. Maxx: So what’s the issue? Dan: Well, in many other aspects we have become very stagnant. Dan places two very similar looking line charts on the table. Dan: As you can see here, the buzz surrounding your change to pro wrestling did cause an initial uproar. Dan puts a hand next to his mouth as if he doesn’t want the nonexistent extra people in the room to hear it Dan: And the holiday season didn’t hurt either… Dan: But overall, we have not sustained much growth and in terms of merch sales we are actually behind where we were last year. Maxx: WOW! So how would I go about solving these issues? Dan: Glad you asked! First we have to identify the sole cause of these problems. Your hardcore fans have actually stuck by you largely throughout all this. Dan walks over to a nearby shelf and picks up a pair of Star Shades. Dan: And your new merch drop caused a spike in sales. Dan: However, once you get a jacket and a pair shades, you stop buying. Dan: That’s why we need to pull in new fans and that hasn’t gone so well. Dan: Overall, the core wrestling fan base has rejected you. They see you as some smug outsider who sees their community as a business opportunity. Dan: And when you keep losing matches...you’re not exactly winning them over. Maxx becomes deflated after hearing the dig from his own employee. Dan: You either got to tap into a new audience, or get better in the ring. Maxx stands and looks out the window to gather his thoughts. Maxx: Welp, guess I gotta hit the PC while we think about the other option. You know, they never said it was gonna be easy. Maxx: Success is always at the top of the wave but you gotta keep working hard to stay afloat. Dan looks at Maxx in admiration. Dan: Can I put that on a shirt? Maxx: Don’t put that on a shirt. Dan: A boogie board? Maxx: Drop it. Dan: Ok. Tracy: Well, since you weren’t booked to compete on Consequence, I guess your training can begin next week. I will plan your session accordingly. Dan and Tracy both exit the room, leaving Maxx to ponder.

  4. A camera pans over a cheering studio crowd as a jingle is played by the live jazz band. Jimmy Emmett is smiling at the camera as he sits behind his desk. Jimmy Emmett: Welcome back from commercial break-Now my next guest has been in the headlines recently. Can we get a warm round of applause for award-winning actor and NEW OCW Superstar, Maxx Edwards. The crowd applauds as Maxx joins Emmett on the stage. Emmett gets up to greet Maxx and they both return to their seats. Jimmy Emmett: I got to say, Maxx, it's nice to have you here tonight as you seem to have been everywhere recently Maxx Edwards: Yeah it has been a busy couple of weeks but it is nice to be here. Jimmy Emmett: Well, I am sure you have to deal with various media sources trying to contact you while also trying to get into wrestling shape Maxx Edwards: Are you trying to say I am not in shape? Jimmy Emmett: Of course not! You look great tonight but you are not exactly in K'Dangelo shape. Maxx Edwards: Not yet atleast! Nahh but training with some great legends I believe I can definitely hold my own with some of those huge OCW guys. Jimmy Emmett: Serious question though, only starting wrestling not that long ago, how do you think you square up with some of the OCW guys who have been wrestling for years? Maxx Edwards: Well like I said it's mostly confidence. I know I am better than anyone I step into the ring against. While many people say I can't do it, they haven't seen me in a ring so they really sound ignorant saying that and should keep their opinions to themselves. Have they ever seen me fail? I dominated the box office and I plan to do the same to the squared circle? I have been training hard to become better and I am better than some of the "champions" of OCW as the company itself has lacked the star power it had in years past. And now, the fans are getting sick of it and have started to turn it off. In signing me, OCW hopes to regain their fanbase and gain even a bit of relevancy. Jimmy Emmett: Tell me Maxx, while you are obviously a big name here in LA, becoming a wrestler and signing with a huge company like OCW, how will you be able to distinguish yourself from the other already established stars in the company and capture some of the fans who doubt you as a wrestler? Maxx Edwards: Lucky for you, the spotlight is something I have always gravitated towards and I'm sure once the audience sees me in the ring they won't be able to take their eyes off. I mean I haven't had a match yet and here we are talking about it. Whether they like me, or hate me, they know my name. AND, whether they buying my merch at maxxedwardsshop.com, use code "OCW" for 15% off, or they are sitting behind their computers writing up angry internet posts, they can't wait to see me in the ring. So how will I distinguish myself, I already have Jimmy Emmett: Speaking of your first match, what do we know about it? Who's it gonna be and when? Maxx Edwards: Well, while we have not decided when my first match will take place, we will be deciding who I'm facing at a party I'll be hosting this Thursday. Jimmy Emmett: Will the fans be aware of this decision? Maxx Edwards: Actually, the decision on who I'll be facing will be made Thursday, but won't be revealed at all. However, footage of the party should air on this Friday's episode of Turmoil. Jimmy Emmett: Unfortunately, that's all the time we have for today. Make sure to check out Maxx's party this Friday on Turmoil as I have the feeling it will be quite the spectacle. The jazz begins to play their jingle again as the camera zooms out and the screen fades to commercial break.

  5. WRESTLER NAME: Maxx Edwards HOMETOWN: Dallas, TX HEIGHT: 6’1 WEIGHT: 215 lbs. THEME SONG: Blue Stahli - Fall SIGNATURE MOVES(S): Showtime Superkick (Superkick 16) The Trilogy (Triple Rolling Butterfly Suplex) FINISHERS(S): The Action Shot (Bicycle Knee Strike) Biography: Born to a lower middle class family in Dallas, Maxx was destined to be a star from a young age. Performing songs and dances for relatives, Maxx loved to be the center of attention. This led him to take on drama club during school and participating in many plays. Through this, Maxx found out his love of acting and wanted to become an actor. After graduating High School, Maxx moved to Los Angeles on the hopes of becoming an actor. He debuted on the big screen in many smaller roles in lesser known movies. This changed when he took on a lead role in a film that would soon sweep the Academy Awards in the Big Five(Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress). This would grant Maxx his first of what would soon be 3 Oscars among many other awards. After not being nominated for any category in the most recent Oscars, Maxx began to lose his passion for acting. This was his first time not being nominated for any category since the year before he won his first Oscar. Maxx, dissatisfied with his acting, began to pursue other interests. Desperate for direction and looking for motivation, Maxx started to gain interest in wrestling. After showing up at several independent wrestling venues, both, Maxx’s Fans and wrestling fans started to take notice. After training with former wrestling legends, Maxx signed a contract with OCW and is looking to dominate the wrestling world like he did the Box Office.
  6. Maxx Edwards is standing in front of a wall plastered with OCW logos surrounded by reporters from various news stations. Sounds of voices and camera flashes can be heard. Everyone is rushing trying to ask Maxx questions. OCW The Magazine Reporter: Maxx, how do you feel on signing with OCW? Maxx Edwards: Feels great! Ready to take this company by storm, think this is the proper next step in my career TMZ Reporter: How will this contract affect your movies? Maxx Edwards: I think I might take a break from the screen for a bit. Really working on expanding my brand and doing what makes me happy The Daily Suplex Reporter: With little to no wrestling experience, how well do you think you'll do in OCW? Maxx Edwards: Do you know who I am? The crowd awaits a response from the reporter Maxx Edwards: No! Seriously! Do you know who I am? The Daily Suplex Reporter: Y-yes, you're Maxx Edwards, everyone knows you Maxx Edwards: Then why would you ask such stupid questions when you already know the answer to them. I had no experience when I became an actor and guess what, I became the best actor in the world. What do you think I am gonna do in OCW? The Daily Suplex Reporter: It was just a ques- Maxx Edwards: Yeah, but you knew what you meant by asking that. I could be the worst wrestler in the company and you would turn on your shitty TV to see me perform. I am an entertainer. A Superstar. And I am the biggest signing this company has ever had and I plan to take this company by storm! So what do I plan to do? Be the biggest wrestler this company has ever seen Bigger than all of these no-name hall of famers that noone has ever heard of. And your wife is gonna be rooting for me on TV every night whether you'd like it or not, cause anyone would rather watch me than that shithole news that is, The Daily Suplex. ESPN Reporter: Maxx who is your first opponent going to be? Maxx Edwards: I am done answering questions. Maxx storms off refusing to take pictures or answer questions.
