**Scene fades in at River City Work Camp in Chattahoochie, FL. Its daytime and we see DJ Chino walk inside**

**After going through security, he signs an autograph for one of the guards and then goes to the visitation area. Theres some tables spread out throughout the bland gray concrete floor and a table with some board games and childrens books on it. DJ walks over there and looks through them until the gate opens and standing there is his father, (Dr.)Jose DeGracia Sr. , in an inmate jumpsuit. DJ takes a sigh while walking over to him and greets him with a big hug**

DJ: How you doin', Dad?

Sr.:I'm alright.

DJ: Did you talk to your lawyer?

Sr.: Not for long, but I was able to get everything together, maybe I can get out of here quickly, God willing.

DJ: As long as Whitey doesn't keep you in here. **DJ sneers at a guard watching them**

Sr.: Kid, do you even think you know what life is like being persecuted for your skin color? Be glad you werent around in the 50's.

DJ: Ok, you got me there. I'm just concerned you are bein treated unfairly. You don't even have anything to do with Marty's disappearance.

Sr.: Son, it's prison, everyone is treated unfairly. Luckily Im at this work camp so its just me and other old guys, heh.

**Sr tries to crack a smile when he chuckles but it doesnt alleviate the situation much. DJ points at the nearest open table**

DJ: Let's sit down.

**DJ pulls out a couple of chairs for them to sit.**

Sr.: So what else is going on?

DJ: Well, I've been really just going through people since I've been back to action. It's all "Blahblahblah I want a title shot blahblahblah oh no I lost but Im gonna keep trying blahblahblah I got screwed blahblahblah. Its all crap.

Sr.: Who are these bums you've been fighting?

DJ: Well, when I got back I fought Parker Stevens.

Sr.: Who?

DJ: Exactly.

Sr.: Bum.

DJ: After that it was Smythe DaWondah.

Sr.: Smythe DaWhatsit?

DJ: Exactly.

Sr.: You got a match this week?

DJ: No, which is why Im able to take some time to be here. I've got a match against Leonheart at the ppv but is he really a threat?

Sr.: Who did he beat to get to fight you?

DJ: Smythe.

Sr.: Pssh, thats nothing. Ah well a break is always good. I was able to get the guard to let us watch the shows here when we can, turns out your pretty popular with the guards seeing as you're a good kid. Helps me out for them to find out I made you.

DJ: Ah jeeze.

Sr.: Don't worry about it.

DJ: ....Its just....you bring that up and of course its going to remind me of Mom.

Sr.: Look, I miss your mother. Your brother misses her. Your sister misses her. Im sure you do too.

DJ: I just never really had the chance to say good bye you know? We had a lot of problems before and we never got to solving them.

Sr.: You can always have the chance, son. She's there. All you have to do is talk to her. She'll always be with us in our hearts.

DJ: You think so?

Sr.: I know so. It reminds me of back in the day when we were growing up in Puerto Rico. Your mom was always kind of quiet except when I was around. She warmed up to me really nice and before you know it we were newly married coming to New York.

DJ: Sounds like you just made that up.

Sr.: Well I didn't. And besides, back in Puerto Rico I was a much better DJ than you were.

**DJ's jaw drops to the floor**

DJ: You were a what?

Sr.: A DJ!

DJ: Waitwaitwaitwaitwait. You......were a DJ.....back in Puerto Rico?

SR.: Oh yeah, boy. DJ Chino, The original.

DJ: O_O

Sr.: You think that I suggested you change your name for no reason?

DJ:.......

Sr.: I wanted you to carry on the family legacy! Bring back memories of the good times back home from my younger days! Rolling through town in Blondie's car with Smokey and Chucho handing out flyers for my next show! When you wanted to become a DJ I could not wait to see you have your big break. Although, its a different big break than I intended, it was great for you and for the family's name nonetheless. Instead of DJ Chino the DJ from the Bronx, its DJ Chino OCW North American Champion! Former EX and Tag Team Champion! You have made me a proud father, and if your mother was around she would be proud also.

**DJ is speechless**

DJ: Dad, I....

Sr.: Whatever you do. You don't have to worry about me. I can handle myself. You go out there and keep making your father a happy old convict. Alright?

DJ: Okay Dad.

**The guard calls for visitation time to be over. DJ and his father stand up and hug one more time**

Sr.: One more thing.

DJ: What? Anything.

Sr.: Kick his ass.

DJ: Pssh, like you said....its nothing I cant handle.

**DJ walks back through security and his father gets checked before going back to his cell. DJ pulls out his wallet and looks at an old picture from a wedding in 1975 with writing on the back "Elizabeth and Jose DeGracia, May 10, 1975" **

DJ: I'm glad I make you proud mom...

**Scene fades to black**

Fun Fact: most of this is based on a real conversation I had with my dad when I went to visit him. especially in regards to him actually being a DJ named DJ Chino in Puerto Rico
