Jordan Trance, backstage at a house show

The ever present noise of a crowd at an OCW live show can be heard quite steadily. Whilst the main roster has been put on paid leave for the season break, some experienced heads, rookies, developmental talent and others just looking to pad out their wage packet are still performing on the house show circuit. One such competitor, the newly signed Jordan Trance is in attendance, having not yet received his medical clearance after his beating from Austin Lee, for which the man was forced to atone at the hands of Jordan’s father on the End Games pay-per-view.

 

He goes round the locker room, shaking hands with everyone, asking how they are, introducing himself if he hasn’t met them before, basically practicing proper wrestling etiquette. Eventually he reaches someone talking to an unfamiliar woman with their backs to the rest of the roster, it appears to be Parker.

 

Jordan: Hey, Elliot, congratulations on beating Leon at End Games, that was pretty-

 

He doesn’t get to finish his sentence, the head rises and turns. It is in fact Evelyn, Elliot’s twin-sister and she doesn’t look pleased with the confusion. Jordan begins to stammer and babble, trying to fix the situation.

 

Jordan: Hey, sorry! You two just look very similar, y’know?

 

Evelyn: Oh, I’m sorry, I suppose me deciding to lose a bit of flab makes me look like a man now?

 

Jordan: No, no, no! That’s not what I mean, just that you and Elliot, you’re twins, it’s an easy mistake to make…

 

Evelyn: No, I think you knew exactly what you were doing.

 

Jordan: Look, I’m sorry, it won’t happen again, I promise.

 

Evelyn: Don’t let it happen again, or next time, I’ll wear you like the condom your dad should’ve-

 

The other woman cuts her off before she can finish.

 

River: Calm down Eve, don't need you saying anything you don’t mean, now.

 

She then looks towards Jordan.

 

River: Hi, my name’s River Evans, I’m Evelyn’s new talent manager. Pleased to meet you!

 

River extends her hand out for a handshake.

 

Jordan: Jordan Tra-

 

River suddenly takes her hand away and slaps him, the smile on her face turning into a snarl.

 

River: Never disrespect my client like that again, amkae! Now get lost!

 

Jordan winces and balls up a fist just as B17 enters the dressing room and sees what’s happening.

 

B17: Jordan! You don’t start fights backstage!

 

Jordan: But I wasn’t…

 

Before he can speak, the pair of River and Evelyn begin to blame him for the situation, which B17 believes.

 

B17: Look, go speak to one of the agents for a bit.

 

Jordan goes to speak up, but sighs and gives up. Leaving as B17 apologises on his behalf.
