Bull, I showed you respect at first and you threw it on my face

Tre Dogg…you were blinded by your obsession with the OCW World Heavyweight Title. I don’t recall receiving any respect until after I lost it. You even low blowed me. Kass never even gotten the chance to do that.

I'M THE PAST THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE!

Good to see AC Cobra and TY Sparks doing An excellent Job as a tag team. Double team moves were in point, and some quick tags. I really enjoyed this match, with TY jumping all the way across the ring for that frog splash, then picking up the W over his old tag partner made it feel very important and I think this is a big win for this team who display incredible Chemistry. Can’t wait to see what’s next for them.

Big Country!! Mark Reese is back and cleared the ring of those rotten EL Jewels. Haha (If you use it I want 20%) good to see the big guy back, he has the heart of a wolf. Maybe you should talk to Tre. The Wolves are always watching.

Love seeing more video promos! Love that Blue Eye! Damnit, now I gotta get a new eyeball. The KD Angle for the style of video promo and the bandana popped me. Nice Fake out. We had a couple this week.

There are a lot of storylines going for several of us it seems. I’m in it for the long hall, the “soap opera” as called earlier with Marissa, cant wait to see it all unfold And the story come out. I’m hoping the pay off works. I can dig it. There’s bound to be several overlapping stories with the roster. Like pointed out, I know me and mantis and pony boy Have our collision, but that Pride title is gonna be mine! I will squash that little bug then his puppet master, while conquering this paper champion without busting a sweat, because I’m cool like dat, I’m cool like dat, I’m cool like dat, I’m cool like that. The Iceman Cometh for it all! Muahahaha ok, enough tooting my own little horn. Toot toot.

Loved MAXX and Tucker bit as well as The Cort in Court. People court theme was awesome and to see The Judge ahahha Baliff get them all out of there lock em all up!!

I liked Marissa heeling the shit out of Valkyrie fans. Then Quan gettin busted up. she’s a diva she changes her clothes every 10 minutes. Looks like the Turbo Thot May have a new “sexy queen” comin. I would Nancy Carrigan her before she even debuts.

Speaking of debuts. Owen taking a fall to Matias was A surprise. I see great things for Owen, but this L can shake ya if you stay in your head. Don’t let it stop you from believing you have a future in OCW. I know W’s are important but they aren’t everything. I still think Owen could have come out on top. Stop taunting expecting someone will let you finish, just because you extended the same courtesy. I don’t mean this in a harsh or disrespectful tone or intent, but Matias looks to me like one of those ridiculous attires you had to chose from in 2007 I think it was. But yeah looks like a generic look people think wrestlers look like: not a big fan of the attire. ** now I see who the handler is, it’s not as surprising as I previously mentioned. But Owen hanging in with One of the best of the best in the biz. Good on you bro. **

Big Spear from The Leader of the Wolves, your International Champion, Tre Golden. Don’t worry about where his Championship is. It’s safe, right where he wants it. And it is currently in the throne room on display, in a protective case. Thieves in the locker room. Don’t know if y’all saw Ol Alex Asher gettin his stuff stolen? There’s Thieves in the Temple tooonight!

I’ll write more later. B.A. Baracus is in OCW!! I’ll be back later for more. Gotta read and finish watching.

Text wise, I'd say the Archer's RPs are the ones who stood out the most to me. Especially the MMM one. Short, to the point, with solid one liners. Text wise I have found them the most entertaining throughout the show, even though the rest was still solid. I dont wanna copy paste what others said cause it'd be pretty cheap, but I enjoyed the pool one the most because of the overall one liners and stuff. Archer is easily one of the best written toons if not the best.

Video wise, I will pick the Maxx video and the Reese return. Starting from the Reese return, it was a classic moment of Wrestling 101 to me. The fact he returned now rather than at the go home show makes it so there is still one more show to see something between these two (these five if we consider the stable). The consequence match between them is arguably one of the most anticipated one hype wise because it is the one which has been brewing since forever so it's the one I look forward the most story wise and also because given the handlers involved there's a high chance the match itself will be great.

As for the Maxx video, allow me to go off on video promos as a whole for a sec. I generally dislike powerpoint presentation promos for a bunch of reasons. I have always felt that videos should be done when you are doing something that would be less impactful if done with words (like a fight scene or something so elaborate that it makes sense for it to be a video). That is why I am not a huge fan of promos in which you get a still render cut and text slapped on the side of the screen. What does that add compared to reading it in the webshow? You need to add something unique to it to really make it stand out, like Maxx did with the Archer series and the shows. However after months, I've come to terms with the fact that OCW as a whole has changed from how it was back in 2018 and now with VPs, one show per week and Twitch streams the video portion of it it's more prevalent as it should be. Now, speaking of standards, I will say that the way Maxx does these videos it's the golden standard for everyone. They are fun to watch, high effort (!), there are animations that make them less stale and overall they are just a joy to watch. So going forward people should be using his videos as reference and try to reach this standard.

As for matches I'll go with Garcia Tyson which maybe flew under the radar a little. IMHO this match was a lot closer that what it seemed in the end. Garcia fundamentally lost due to a few rookie mistakes which I will point out for the sake of him improving. There were a couple of knockdowns at the start he didn't follow up to and that cost him in the long run. Also, he spread the damage between legs, torso and even arms. Dont do that. Focusing damaging isn't necessarly meta, actually real life wrestlers do it most of the time. Try and make sure your moveset targets the body parts that you need red for your finisher. You would have probably gotten him to red by the end cause it was close. Garcia also whiffed a couple of kicks, this is 100% due to not having played enough with the caw and not being comfortable with its range. Again something that will come naturally without needing to stress it out. Also Tyson broke fpr at 6.20 but it's all cool because Doc is cooler than the other side of the pillow and we don't mind. But, it's fair to point it out. I could totally see Garcia improve a lot in the upcoming weeks because these Ls are not due to lack of coordination or timing, rather due to rookie habits that will wear off quick once you fine tune your caw and become more comfortable with your moveset.

EMP vs fem Parker was the match of the night to me. As for the Tre video, all I can say is that we got folks who are active on discord literally 24/7 and are always available for help (myself included). Next time you could message them and sort shit out quick.

Side note that Tyson Shirt feels a tad generic, please dm me on Discord if you want custom merch and I'll help you out.

Lol. Tyson’s shirt was generic af cause I made him real quick and jumped right into the match. Yes indeed fpr was broken. I looked back at the match and told garcia the exact point where I broke it and he said no worries cause it wasn’t costly. During the game my brain said it was standup to a ground move but he was kneeling which is considered a ground move. So essentially it was two ground moves. I apologized to CG for that.

RP 1: Thomas Archer/Mad Michael Morrison

I like the Thomas Archer/Mad Michael Morrison RP because it was concise, witty and developed their story without requiring the audience to break immersion from the show for too long.

VIDEO 1: In Court with Cort

In Court with Cort was creative and funny. I'm not normally a fan of the videos where the action is photoshopped pictures but this video and Maxx Edwards Spa Day to me were great examples of how to do it. The video didn't overstay its welcome and helped push along the feuding characters' story without the exposition taking place inside the wrestling ring.

RP 2: Parca/CG Segment

I liked the character development in this segment, as mentor and student, Parca expressing his displeasure with CG and what he expects of him going forward.

VIDEO 2: Valkyrie Confronts Marisa Expensive

I wasn't a fan of the opening Marisa Expensive segment. I felt the video title was misleading and clickbaity, and I didn't like that. Half of the video was Marisa's entrance and once she did get in the ring, for my money, she didn't say a whole lot. I view promos as a wrestler enticing me to purchase the product (or match) they are selling and after watching Marisa's promo it didn't make me want to see the match it is building toward.

RP 3: Fraser/Just Derek Segment

I felt like it should have been placed before Matias vs Owen as it was strange to see Derek and Fraser scrap inside the ring and then talk backstage like it hadn't happened. Good foreshadowing for what might come up in the future.

Match: John Carter vs Antonio Everett

Carter vs Everett was my favourite match of the night because it allowed me the viewer to just watch and let Jake and Jay tell the story. I struggle watching matches without commentary because it feels like I'm just watching a video game. The commentary helps anchor that a story is being told, it isn't just video game players randomly choosing moves to see what hits, and with the judicious use of cutscenes, etc. this helped convert a match John probably won clean into a clever storytelling device where he looks like a chicken shit heel for using brass knucks.

Marisas first vid was great, played heel perfectly with the swerve. Second vid didn't seem to fit in the continuity of the night, maybe doing a little to much at once.

Owen just seemed like he's still nervous, which is understandable, gotta get that killer instinct.

Good match John, keep the momentum

Thanks for the insight. Also full credits to Marisa for producing the segment.

The idea behind the segment was to have Marisa troll the fans by hyping up a supposed confrontation between her and Valkyrie. The lights go out, Valkyries music hits and someone dressed as her makes her entrance… but instead it’s just Marisa who dressed as Valkyrie, does valkyrie’s entrance with valkyrie’s music in the background. The misleading nature of the thumbnail was needed cause otherwise “Marisa does Valkyrie’s entrance” would have ruined the swerve factor which was what we were trying to achieve by it. It’s a trope that happened a bunch of times in real life wrestling as well, I remember Shawn pulled it a bunch of times back in the early 2000… albeit he didn’t have the same heat of factor of Marisa Expensive lol
