Jacob Trance Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 The camera comes to life, sat facing the camera is OCW Hall of Famer, Jacob Trance, the opponent of Antonio Everett this weekend. He will be contesting for the CCW championship at the 17th Anniversary Show. As he speaks, his gaze lingers to the slight left of the camera, only occasionally flickering to meet the lense. Trance: We would like to take the moment to thank you for your time, for options to let us in to your home and mind. It’s a lot easier to do things this way, clearly and up front, instead of dealing with that drilling buzz in the background. Trance shifts slightly. Trance: They say that when an animal is at its wits end, when it’s wounded it backed into a corner it lashes out, making it ever so easy to see what it wants in that instance. Tony, Tony, Tony, do you think this matches up with what they’ve been doing? Does it match up with what we have planned ahead? Trance shakes his head. Trance: I say no to that notion, but it’s not for us to decide something so trivial. Now, the grandest of motions… Yes, in that we will all serve and play our part which brings us to that word… Respect. We see respect as some sort of trinket to wave around, we use the term, to put it lightly, to make people give a fuck about us. To make them feel better, to acknowledge one another as equals. We’re not equals Tony, none of us are. Trance laughs. Trance: That’s not say either one of us is better than the other Tony, it’s our differences, our varying characteristics that make this all worthwhile. When we started out this little journey you were wanting to injure, put us all onto a bad path. Trance shifts again. Trance: The path we walk is neither good or bad, but it is littered with our decisions, our failures, our success stories and our indecisions. When you reach the end of the path, there is a door, behind it… We can’t stand for certain, but all you have to do is knock. And Tony… Jacob leans forward and looks wildly to the right of the camera, a wry little smirk adoring his face. Trance: We are ready for you to knock on the door Tony… Trance raps his knuckles three times on the chair, loudly. Trance: That’s all it’ll take… Then… It opens… We’ll see on Sunday just what story we can tell… 3
