Shianne Lovelace Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 WhereCulture has obtained information regarding the contract status of Online Championship Wrestling talent Chris Greene, real name Christopher Alleyne. Sources have reported that both Christopher and the company have come to a mutual agreement to not renew the talent’s contract, and although the company reportedly made efforts to sway him with an even lengthier and more lucrative deal than his original; he declined any effort made to negotiate. There is no bad blood reported between the two parties, a source inside the company reported that management and Alleyne reached the conclusion amicably, and that management wished the midcard star the best in his future endeavors outside of the OCW brand. OCWFed Officials could not be reached for further comment. Alleyne was reached for an exclusive interview. This is what the star had to say: “I’ve got nothing but pleasant things to say about the company, I just want to, y’know, wanna clear that up right away. Online Championship Wrestling is the best company I have ever worked for and it is loaded with a talented roster and great officials, the whole deal - it’s everything a wrestler can hope for in an employer.” He then elaborated on his reasons for leaving the company behind. “You look around you, y’know, and you see the time flying by. Snap! Like that, four years. A great four years, filled with ups and downs and some of the most memorable moments of my career - and a lot of great people to boot - but I look around and I go ‘I’m not getting any younger.’ And it’s like ‘Woah!’ I’m so happy for these guys, the women, everyone. I’m ecstatic to see what they do, and I’m always having a hard time keeping up. Even my arch nemesis - kidding, I love you Johnny - he’s had a great run. It’s been fun.” He went on further, “But y’know, it does catch up to you. All the years, all the aches. And I need some time off to look at that. It’s all about the grind, y’know, until it hits you like a brick and you’re at the seafloor. Some may say I did nothing in my time here in OCW, and to that I say we’ve got different interpretations of nothing. It’s not about the accolades, or the achievements or the honors and egos - not for me, it’s all about putting on the best match I can in that ring, every damn night. And right now? I’m not at my best, I’m far from it. I’m tired. It all caught up to me. My knees hurt, and I need to take care of myself. And I want to live too, y’know? I have been in wrestling since 2007. I’m thirty-five closing in on thirty-six. I’ve got a girl, met her in 2022, and she wants a family. I have to be there for that. Part of me wants to open up a coffee shop in Rochester, too, I’ve been looking into that since last year. Is this the end of Chris Greene? I don’t think so, but this is the end of Chris Greene’s time in OCW. For now. Nothing’s ever done for good in pro wrestling. And we’ll see where that takes us.” He then had a message for his young cousin, twenty-three year old college graduate Mikayla Townsley, known in the wrestling ring as Jayda Brooks. “Jayda - I got your back, y’know. You’re doing great stuff on the independent scene, and I’m so proud of you. You’re in good hands with Sylvie training ya, too, and you have a backup instead of going all-in on this business. That’s the kind of forward thinking I lacked. But like, you debuted in STARGAZERS last year, and I was sitting there going ‘that’s my girl!’ Like some kind of mark. I am. I want you to do the best shit you can do for you. I’m just so proud, I’m happy I could help train you. Keep it up, and I’ll be watching. Don’t be surprised if my bosses come knocking one day, because if I could make it to the big stage, then goddammit you can make it to the stage that’s ten times bigger.” WhereCulture reports that Alleyne’s contract will officially expire on December 1st, 2024, and that he’ll dutifully complete any obligations he has to the company before going on a hiatus from bookings entirely. 4 1 Chris Greene | Shianne Lovelace | Harper LeRoux | Hifumi Mayoshi
