Dax Lee sits alone in a folding chair in a dark warehouse. A single hanging light sways from above him as he sits there silently, jaws clenched.

 

Dax: You feel that, don’t you, OCW?

 

Dax grins.

 

Dax: The unease in your chest every time my name comes up on your feed?

 

Dax: That’s called inevitability.

 

Dax Lee looks off camera and scoffs.

 

Dax: They said I was too angry, too aggressive…

 

Headlines flicker quickly:

“DAX LEE: BANNED FROM ANOTHER COMPANY?”

“BACKSTAGE FIGHT LEAKED”

”IS DAX LEE DESTINED FOR UNEMPLOYMENT?”

 

Dax: They said I was too unpredictable, too much of a liability.

 

Dax is now sitting calm, dead calm.

 

Dax: But here I am. And whoever’s first through that curtain…congrats. You’re the crash test dummy. 
 

Dax leans in closely.

 

Dax: You get to find out I’m not a prospect, I’m a problem. 
 

Dax stands and turns to walk down a dark hallway. His voice echoes and trails through the darkness.

 

Dax: The wait is almost over, OCW. The door is unlocked, and hell is about to walk through it.

 

As Dax Lee fades into the darkness, all to be heard is him whistling “We’ll Meet Again” by Vera Lynn.

 

Camera fades to black.
