Prelude To A Beating

Featured Replies

Marcus walks up to down an ally stretch that’s alongside The Ambition Arena. He’s looking around for someone but sees a dumpster nearby.

A smudged look comes across his face and then a smirk. He already knows the whereabouts of who’s he looking for. He decides to walk towards the smell.

Marcus: Good evening gentlemen. Of course I’d find you guys here.

Stevie: Marcus! My *beep* dawg, what's good bruh, Rayzah -  this is Marcus McMichaels. Went to war with him against the geek squad a few weeks back. (Hits the blunt) you trying to chill with Peter, Paul and Moses with me?

Marcus: I don’t puff - just pass.

Rayzah: Hey Marcus (The two handshakes) Respect, but nah… I don’t smoke. With the way Carter and Flash run they mouths, I already caught enough secondhand stupidity this week.

Marcus: Listen gentlemen, I don’t mean to break up this - session…so I’ll make this quick. I’m only here to give you some pointers against Crashouts.

Stevie: Oh, school us then big homie.

Marcus: Specifically, Sheldon Trembly. He and I have a history with each other. He once was part of a group called Sanctum. They were Tag Team Champions.

Rayzah: Really? He doesn’t look like a guy that would even carry gold on his wrist let alone around his waist.

Marcus: Don’t sleep on Sheldon. John Carter and I tried to take them down and didn’t succeed. He even once held The OCW World Heavyweight Championship.

Stevie: Yeah, I watched that from my couch before I signed here. He freezes in the big moments though. That doesn't stop me from wanting to beat the bark off his back.

Marcus: Save it for after the match when you beat him, Stevie. Any wrong move and you’ll be looking up at the rafters listening to the ref count to 3.

Marcus: But listen, Sheldon doesn’t have Owen or Fraser anymore standing in his corner. He’s been lost ever since they left.

Rayzah: Yeah… he just look like another face in the roster photo — nothin’ special.

Marcus: Precisely my point. When I faced him in The S-Cup he was highly favored and beat him. I went in knowing he’s just another guy but focused.

Marcus: So Stevie, stay focused. Sheldon’s career is plummeting and I need the three of you to seal the deal when it comes to him. Cause he’s crashing out and reaching for a spark.

Rayzah: This gon' be real good, Stevie. When we bury him, let’s do it deep enough that nobody ever digs up the memory.

Stevie: Preciate cha big homie, too bad you don't smoke bro, eases the nerves and kills the soreness from taking bumps.

Marcus: I’m good. Hey. Watch each other's backs from here on out. Stevie…good luck out there.

Rayzah: Watch yours too. It ain’t safe out here on these streets.
