Hello everyone,

We’ve made some updates to the OCWFed Handbook to clarify and refine the rules of FPR  (Fair Play Rules) as well as some additions. Here’s are the injected changes stand alone without having to go through the handbook trying to find them:

  • IronJaw is not allowed to be used after a Finisher to avoid being pinned or to get rid of the stun meter in special match types.
(should have been added at the start of the season)

  • You also may not attempt a pinfall after a submission; The submission was an attempt to end the match, immediately following it with another method of ending the match with no moves in between is the same as pinning after a pin. (goes hand in hand with not ending the match after back to back pin attempts)
(should have been added earlier in the season)

  • When your Opponent is in the Standing Corner position, you can attack your opponent 2 times before the position is expected to change. The following attacks all count as (1) of your 2 Corner attacks: Corner Grapple, Running Attack, Heavy Attack. You may also use light strikes, such as a chop. 3 Light strikes = 1 of your 2 Corner moves.

(Leaning Front & Leaning Rear are Standing Corner positions).

After 2 Corner attacks it is expected the position is changed; either by the second move it self or changing to Top Rope stunned or tree of woe. Irish whipping to another corner does NOT reset this count.
    (parity with ground rule)

  • Multi-Man Crapple: As third(+) person in a match attacking someone who just used their defensive tools to gain control only to then need to defend themselves again from another attacker. It is advised to try and target the person who got reversed or breaker’d instead. (due to targeting and the nature of multi-man matches, a single instance will not be a break, rather this is a rule to try and minimize a feeling of unfair purposeful repetition of the act)

  • 'PARKERING' is illegal: "Parkering" is the act in which you immediately attack your opponent as soon as they enter/exit the ring to pursue you, before they have a chance to fully get control of their wrestler and have a fair chance to attempt to initiate offense as well. Give your opponent space before you engage them when they enter/exit the ring.
(added wording to allow person full control and chance at initiating and not just grabbed as soon as they can move)

  • 'Reverse PARKERING' is illegal: "Reverse Parkering" is the act in which you immediately attack your opponent as soon as you enter the ring. Either by sliding in right after your opponent and they are stuck in an animation of being bumped by your entrance or immediately running at them as they gave you proper space to enter.
(added as people who currently do give space are usually rushed, neither party should be rushing the other, fair reset.)

These adjustments are effective immediately.

Dodging: Due to control input change the old dodge once rule needs to be rewritten but doing so without leaving some ambiguity can be difficult. We don't want to see people just dodging backwards out of range and thus all attacks miss and both end up just going further out of range. Open to suggestion on this rewrite and currently working on it.

  • Dodging: You may attempt to dodge to regain control of the match but You must actually dodge an attempted attack to restore advantage. If you dodge nothing, you must still play defense before counter attacking. If you dodged out of striking range of your opponent you must walk back into range before attempting to dodge/reverse again.

constructive feedback is welcomed. If you have questions or suggestions about the changes or if something feels unclear, drop your thoughts below.

Thanks,
OCWFed Staff Team
