As a general note to heels in no particular order. It is very very important to "Lift Up" or whatever the word is maybe "elevate" your opponent or opponent. If you constantly call someone a failure or a loser or dumb, or a mamao and then you go ahead and lose. Well you just lost to a dumb failure loser mamao...... And you look silly. It's a nuanced art to putting your opponent over but still being mean. Here let me use Stupid Cobra as an example. Promo Mode In 3 2 1. A.C. Cobra is a loser, he is a gamer, he is a live streamer. Instead of spending time in the gym trying to reach his true potential he is live streaming his beatings on twitch for all the world to see. By the way I am pretty sure that is a TOS Violation, and I know a thing or 2 about TOS Violations! You see at OCW 15, A.C. Cobra is going to learn a harsh life lesson, that all the potential in the world means nothing. We know, we know you climbed that mountain and did the unthinkable and proved everyone wrong. But we also know you fell right off that mountain! There's plenty of people for Valk to fight after the Emp fued dies down, wether they are matched skill wise remains to be scene, I dig this fued I had doubts in the beginning if I want to go into my Dave Meltzer bag id say I liked the first match at Conq better, but the cide match proved emps resiliency. The pivot with kass is amazano! especially with how discord and the twitch stream reacted (so many memes LOL). It's gonna be interdasting to see where this goes. Shout out to Salami winning the int, I am sure now plenty of ppl are "dming" him once they saw he won. I like salami but he can be dense, here is to a fruitful run! I dead ass didnt know the tag match was a 4 way until mid way into the match, (thanks 2k for not allowing tag team ladder matches) So that alone all 4 get props, this was probably my favorite tag match of the season, or close to it, the Rust VP tag match was also really fugging good. It's nice to see a team stay a team CQC is the real fucking deal. Man i hope someone recorded the discord during the LHW match that was such a rollercoaster EVERYONE was invested in that match it had a big match feel and it was actually a really good match. Stupid Coba kicking out of not 1 but 2 KHALASSSAES, hitting his dumb finisher and getting rope breaked :( then overcoming not 1 but 2 PEPPERTONS! only to be done in by the Spider Special. Great story, great match, what happened after was stupid but OCW always course corrects, we have plenty of stupid shit, like when Parker won his WL3 match and placed the belt in the ring cuz (LOL im done with it) etc. So it gives cobra something to work at and gives some RL/IC heat for the comic book midboss villain spooder. The CCW match was fucking BANANA.....I said what I said. Told an amazing story, Wrex going 200MPH and everyone going "WELP MALU IS DONE" then I set up the betting and ppl throwing Thousands of Hootbux at Wrex (HAHAHAHAHAA). THEN Malu makes the comeback and continually stuff's Wrex Finisher attempts such a great fucking match probably one of the best if not best of the season (SOMEONE MAKE NOTE) The Main Event... Berry goodt match....... Summercide was a POWERFUL show, top 3 shows of the year, and def top 5 of the last season or 2, change my mind! I've made mention of this but haven't gone into great detail so here it is. I usually do a donation drive in June for the July hosting purchase on .tv site. Life has been hectic and as such time is not on my side. Quick notes! As I said on twitch solid 3 1/4 outta 6! With the RPS probably a 4 outta 6. Ashey cut a semi decent promo, but just know cutting a promo is just half the battle, and don't think you are owed anything for just cutting a promo. I popped for the ransom note, good use of graphics! I like Danny Watts but as we said homeboy needs to figure out what he wants to be ( I think he doing that now) cuz he says he 19, muthafucka looks 40! I like the pairing of Dillinger and Jett, or as I say, I don't hate it! The actual triple threat was very decent, Misty with the MISTIROLL (i dont know what its called) outta no where is a nice surprise. Jett isn't hurt by this and honestly neither is code yakman My Match of the night goes to SALAMI and Jehst, a lil long but still shorter than most rookie opening debuts. I didn't like the Main Event, it felt over produced..... Moore spent most of the match squatting (holding back a doo doo?) and removing the turnbuckle in front of ted. It's really super simple. You aren't a guest ref, I legit said this special ENFORCER! This woulda worked with Ashley being on the outside and grabbing valks feet, or having empress toss valk outside then ashley could beat the dog shit outta her and toss her back in. HELL valk could toss empress outside and moore could pick up Empress duster her off and toss her back in (the audacity) I mean as I said coulda also had Ashley run in periodically or something. The turnbuckle spot actually worked once! now imagine if ted didnt spend most of the match fucking with turnbuckles. Instead this looked like an awkward video game instead of a match. End RP Implied stuff is ok I suppose but I also didn't dig this, we had a lot of goofy shit happen over the years. I'm confident everyone involved isn't a bone head so I will let it play out. Here's my 3 Cents. Roleplay Wise, show was on point, a lot of good char development. Some hiccups with RP's but that just minor quibbles. Example Opening RP running down the various opponents, stating, Flojo could be a contender but is better served as back up sounded strange. Like oh your good enough to compete against me but I need you to be a bodyguard..... Other quibble is El Parca's rps felt to dense, I know the idea is to get char over but as a rookie less is more. We get Parca is a man of honor and he wants to strive to be the best, etc. In my honest opinion it would be better served to possible just keep the RP's to Post match. This is where having someone "FEED" storylines would be nice. Because in El Parca's case he will take an L then another, and keep with the post match, honor and trying gimmick. But lets say he loses another match and the post match interview is him getting frustrated doubting himself, his abilities his purpose in OCW. You could have someone preferably a HEEL try to come in and mentor him in the ways. Which would lead to giving him advice about cutting corners, to survive in OCW etc, maybe he wins a match or 2 with a dirty pin (after a finisher of course) or hits a low blow etc. Then it would have a crisis of conscience! which could then lead to breaking free from said heels grip and BOOM FUED! Spoke to Leo about Kass Entrance. I liked the music, motif etc, rp wise he is keeping it simple, I like the Look, Lose the mask in the ring it looks foolish. I'd probably opt from some paint on face if you want to keep face hidden, just try not to look like The Last Blacksmith who looks like a Juggalo! The whole bit about beating the shit outta a Kalix fan is kind of hilarious. Match felt a bit too long though. 3 way rp was long but decent, B17 writing bugs me, its not bad but it doesn't how you say it doesn't have a feel to it. I use dupree as an example, you know what you get in that RP, you feel the char, you know how he would react to certain situations. I don't get that with B17 in fact I don't get that with A LOT of people. It could just be me like for some reason even if b17 is cutting a semi serious promo in my head he sounds like a cheesy comic book villain! Which would be fine except he is supposed to be a lil more serious. It kind of reminds me of that horrible Seth Rollins heel run! HA HA HA JAWN HA HA HA..... I will say prior to week to Lution the Heel turn/attire/music is on point. Just text seems off. I like Cort as a Writer, not a human being. Nice turn I kind of popped IRL, this is a ready made feud for PPV, so means less work for me! I just imagine Cort becoming a top tier champion and the absolute ballache he is going to be. I like how Everett is pretty much a heel at this point because of cobra, street fight sounds fun, again less work! Done! Closing Thoughts! The difference between OCW and everyplace else is we always push for excellence, and by push I mean talk shit until you A)Improve B) Get Fed UP C) Flake D) I didnt think this far ahead Bottom line we will always have people on your ass if you take shortcuts, so please watch the F.P.R sure they can be minor things, but Crapples shouldn't be a thing at all. AS IT WAS EXPLAINED TO ME BECAUSE I HAVE DEMENTIA, if you get reversed and you moonwalk then hit strike your a dipshit, if you get reversed then you try to reverse, don't mash strike, don't moon walk, you try to reverse period. Do Better, we got a long summer, don't fuck it up for me!
