  1. Oh its getting worked on now, but I wasn’t missing 500 b, sent it in after my match was done.
  2. FUN FACT: Had to render my match with two icepacks on my laptop to prevent it from bursting into flames. Thanks Sager, for making a fan that burnt out after a year!
  3. Exxxxxxpooooooooossssssseddddd
  4. Oh hello! I didn’t notice you there, welcome back to the Pepperton Dungeon. I’m Ryu “The Spider” Matsumoto, and if you’re back here today I can only assume you have a better technical grasp of Wrestling. So let us now talk about the art of wrestling, The Promo. First things first, Who Are You? Have a clear idea of who your character is, and what they are about. If you’re just starting out,use the patented Pepperton Dungeon KiSS method. Keep it Simple Stupid! Take whatever you think you have, all that you hope for your character to be and boil it down into a single concept. That concept should define every action or reaction your character makes. For me that has always been “Chaos”. No matter what I have done face, heel, winning, losing, feuding etc Spider’s main driving force is being someone chaotic. It creates a simple thread that can be followed throughout my career. No matter where you pick up that thread you know that Spider is at the center of some kind of chaos. This makes it easier for your audience to drop in and out of storylines. Show, Don’t Tell The complexity of your character should come from your actions. Don’t tell me what your character is about, it will always fall flat. DO! Take that central thread of your character and build out from it with your actions. The reactions of those you feud with, the interactions between your peers, and even the response from your fans will not only inform the audience but also will inform you about the complexity of your character. Do What You Know! Don’t try and do or be something you don’t know. This unfamiliarity will show in your RPs. More importantly, the RP won’t be fun for you to write. For example, I know Japanese Culture, I'm a natural heel, and I know how to be Trash. So my character, Spider is an embodiment of that. If you don’t know how to be a scumbag, don’t try and be a scumbag, if you don’t know what being a super athlete entails don’t try and depict a super athlete. Do what you know and you’ll be able to create an engaging character that won’t be a chore to write for. Think OUTSIDE the Ring Wrestling is more than what happens in the ring or inside the arena. They don’t even have to happen the same day as an event “Previously Recorded…” can be your best friend when laying out an RP. Doing something somewhere a little different can really set you apart from your peers and leads directly into our next point. You Can do ANYTHING E-fedding, is fake fake wrestling. When you realize/accept this you realize there are no limits to what you can do. If you find it hard to get over doing the standard wrestler man promo, do something crazy, challenge the perception of what wrestling is. Not only is Spider a US Governor, he is a partner in a major corporation, an interdimensional time traveler, a mental patient and a myriad of other strange things. Your character potential is literally LIMITLESS due to the nature of OCW, if the wrestler thing isn’t working, take advantage of that. Be Open to Criticism Not everyone is gunna like what you do but that doesn’t mean their criticism is invalid. Glean what you can from every criticism and use it to push forward and improve. Most people who are going to comment about something are doing so because they sincerely want to see you improve. HAVE FUN OCW is supposed to be fun, so HAVE FUN with your character no matter what you do.

  5. “Trash Spider: Making Anime Real, One Magical Muscle Suit at a Time” there’s a memoir Title if I’ve ever seen one.
  6. What you mad your new buddy couldn’t get away with his horseshit storyline scot free? What I find funny is a guy with so many smurfs and alts has to use someone elses work to get himself over. Hop off Denny’s Vag Ste, you’re better than that.
  7. Its not a fucking opinion, it is WRONG to use someone elses likeness without their permission. ESPECIALLY if its someone you have heat with, part of the reason I’m sure why Dennis didn’t dm Johnny is because Dennis has Johnny blocked on Discord. Like Nate said in his post, I dressed like Nate, it was clearly me, I just dressed like Nate and I cleared it with him a month in advance as its the way things are done. You can ask any of the Hoots, privately AND publicly I’ve defended Dennis when The Hoots decide he’s “done something wrong” but what’s wrong is wrong. There were other ways to accomplish this storyline without using Johnny or his character or the likeness of his character. If you don’t see an issue with that I don’t know what to tell you because I clearly can’t convince you otherwise.
  8. Didn’t you know, we aren’t allowed to call out bullshit anymore, otherwise we’re evil hoots or Anti-Turmoil cronies. We just need to let bullshit happen because... reasons? And what makes this EVEN worse is Jay, not Johnny, JAY was approached to do something with Johnny’s FI a few months and do you know what Jay’s answer was then “No”. So I guess Jay is a hoot crony now too and any criticism of the storyline is invalid. Better yet, let me respond to your criticism with a fucking Emoji.
  9. What was done with the Sentai Hare character was wrong flat out. No ifs ands or buts about it. I saw the match saw what went down and was super excited. Went to congratulate Johnny and the only response was “What?” That should never happen, a lot of you are comparing it to the Monster situation, which isn’t something thats hush hush there have been several RECENT conversations regarding that situation and how it was WRONG. Even if you wanted to do somekind of storyline to protect Kat there were other options, chief of which is DON’T USE THE FUCKING CAREER STIP. I wanted to keep this conversation private, like I usually do with situations like this but I guess it can’t be helped.
  10. Ignore Dan and hurt fi-fi Jay atm... they’re being Dan and hurt fi-fi Jay. I want you and Turmoil in general to know the MAJORITY of us on the Xbox side and even as the Hoots WANT Turmoil to succeed and if they need or want help the door is open. This isn’t about RiOT and its not about Turnoil its about OCW.
  11. Its not just me you lump in with that though, its Nate, its Dimsmore, its Mugen, its Wrex, its Cort, its Pam, its Sean and more than a few others. As far as I know you don’t have an issue with the MAJORITY of that server, its just two or three. But nah we’re going to turn “the Hoots” into the boogeyman when all of those people are potential helping hands who are willing to help and have helped in the past.
  12. I don’t like this narrative that the Hoots as a group are just constantly shitting on Turmoil. What are you even referencing? Are you upset about us not liking moonwalking? Cause I say that to anyone I see doing it, its not because it happens on Turnoil. Are you just saying “Hoots” in reference to anyone you don’t like? Because I consider myself to be a Hoot, and I know that there are a few others who do as well that don’t fit into this narrative you’ve created about the Hoots are out to run Dennis/Ps4 out of the fed. Hell I’ve said it on multiple occasions if anyone needs help with a graphic or wants me to look at a match or even an RP, I’m happy to see what I can do, Jay has even sent a few people my way to help them out with FPR and Character stuff. I’m always the first one in advice making sure people are getting straight answers on anything they ask. I don’t know what/who you have an issue with, but please don’t lump me in with them because if it wasn’t clear in the past I’m going to make it clear now publicly, I’m always willing to help/I don’t care who you are or what console you’re on. And IF I do make a criticism its a genuine one, because I want everyone to suceed, so don’t take it personally and by all means come to me and ask me why I said what I said if its not clear.
  13. I’m not letting any of you bury the fact that JAYSIN SENSATION, OUR HERO, said me RYU MATSUMOTO AKA TRASH, is his favorite character in the past 4 years AND ADDITIONALLY that I have surpassed Matsuda. NONE OF YOU CAN TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME
  14. More grey area, I consider breaking out of a submission to be a neutral position, neither person has advantage after that point, and Tibby was capable of reversing that move, which is the point of giving a reset. I do see how someone can consider that a hover though, like I said grey area, if they were both alright with it whatever. EDIT I probably would have been less ok with it if Tibby was the one following up with a move, not Baker

  17. Oh hello! I didn’t notice you there! Ryu “The Spider” Matsumoto here, head instructor at the Pepperton Dungeon. This is one of the most prestigious wrestling schools in the business, and whether you’re here as a green rookie, or a veteran looking to get in shape, we’re going to take you back to boot camp. So let's start with the basics, your Tools! Tools: Moveset Stats Your Spacing/Zone Combinations Match Economy Tool #1 Your Moveset This is the most important tool you have in your arsenal. It being the most important thing in your arsenal it should be the thing that you are most familiar with. Many of us who are veterans are intimately familiar with our movesets, we know where all of our moves are and can use whatever we need on command. For a rookie though, its not as easy to do, so let’s walk through a way to put together an easy to use moveset that does whatever you need to do, when you need to do it. First thing’s first, we need to organize your moveset in such a way that you can get to anything you want to get to with minimal thought. The less time you spend thinking about what you’re gunna do, the more time you can do what you need to do. Your strikes should be laid out in such a way that you always have an option. You should have a High Priority, Low Range quick move to hit someone that gets too close, you should have a long range move to keep your opponent away, and you should have a medium range move with weird timing to get around reversals and as a chaining move for combo strings. Place your lower risk grapple moves on your A+Directional. These will be your bread and butter moves as they are the quickest to get out. You want NO Major reversal moves here as well, since these moves are easy to accidentally use. Additionally I suggest you use at least one move here that leaves your opponent standing so you can initiate combos (see the combo section). Next you have your Neutral A followed by A+ Directional. This is where you should place your knockdown moves and some of your Major Reversal moves since your opponent has 2 opportunities to reverse (on the initiating move and on the actual move). You should use this primarily as a mix up or a way to bait a reversal. Your Hold X or A+Directional should be your big/high damage moves/major reversal moves. Since they need to be deliberately done by holding down a Button. These moves should only be done when your opponent is down to their last reversal in order to do big damage or bait them into using that reversal. Next, we need to be able to work two body parts with our moveset so decide what you want to work. I highly suggest, as a rookie you work head and body primarily as you will get additional damage from reversals, which generally target the head and body. Once you decide which body parts you want to work divide your grapples up by axis. Using Head/Body as an example set all your Body Moves to the Left/Right Axis and set all of your Head Moves to the Up/Down Axis. That way you always know, “If I use up/down I will always do head damage.” and, “If I use Left/Right I will always do body damage.” This will drastically limit the amount of wasted moves in your matches. Tool #2 Your Stats Now that your moves are better optimized lets look at your stats. Now after extensive testing here at the Dungeon we’ve found that stats don’t work exactly as intended, but we do know how you can get the most bang for your buck. First things first, figure out what stats your moveset utilizes, this should be indicated in the moveset screen when you select your moves. If you have more arm power moves, prioritize putting points in that, if you have no intention of using diving moves, set all the stats attributed to diving to minimum, this will open up more stat points for the stats you need. Next, Durability Stats, Stamina, and Stamina Recovery are important for EVERYONE, don’t skimp out on these! If you have to drop an aspect of your moveset to do so, I highly suggest doing so. NEVER bump other stats at the expense of these. Remember when it comes to stats a Jack of All Trades is a Master of None. Tool #3 Spacing and Your Zone At their most basic, the WWE Games are fighting games, and as much as we hate to do it, we have to treat them that way. Footsies is the name of the game. Based on your CAW’s size, speed and moveset your your effective zone will change. It's on you to know what your opponent’s effective zone is and deal with it. If your opponent tends to utilize lunging grapples to close in and initiate an attack, use a ducking move or a high priority close range move to catch them as the come in. If they throw that quick move to keep you away, watch it come out and lunge in with a long-medium range strike or even a grapple. Initiating offense is all about spacing, and timing. Be aware of where you are in relation to your opponent in the ring and be ready to reverse or counter whatever they can throw at you from the range you’re in. Tool #4 Combinations Congratulations! You’ve just hit your opponent and initiated offense. Now hit them again! Combinations are the best way to deal heavy damage/punish someone after a major reversal or using their last reversal. One of the most traditional combinations, thats applicable in any location during a match, is: 1. Strike Combination 2. Move that Leaves Opponent Standing 3. Heavy major reversal move, knocking the opponent down This combo gets 3 moves worth of damage in AND if that was your first knockdown you still have more damage to do. The more familiar you are with your moveset, the better you will be at putting combinations together. Some moves flow so well into each other that it gives your opponent minimal time to react, familiarize yourself with those combinations and maximize your damage output in a single damage phase. Tool #5 Match Economy If you’ve gotten this far you have a better idea of the Micro Level of the game. That is to say you know how to make your CAW move around and hit someone in the most effective way. There is also a Macro level to the game, the economics of WWE. There are three resources that your CAW has which will determine the outcome of a match, Stamina, Momentum and Reversals. Momentum and Stamina management are fairly simple to master. You either have enough to do what you need to do, or you don’t. If you have low stamina, don’t try and do an Ultimate Control move, it won’t work! Likewise if you’re at the end of a match, don’t try and do a Combo into your finisher, as you’ll likely run out of Stamina before you can get your finisher off. Reversals however, can get very complicated. While it's good to stay ahead of your opponent in reversals, it’s not necessarily wise to take tons of damage in order to maintain that lead. Reversals are worth much more late in the match than they are early on.
