Is a Buried Alive match in bad taste?
-
Aiden Ryan has a lot of big man moves, much more than you'd expect for a guy who looks about 5'6. I think he's the best prospect on Ambition though, and he can definitely go far. Tobin needs to be much more aggressive, Chris Moore is a deflated Tyro, and I don't fully understand what's going on with Espado and Hatachi - they're completely different CAWs every single time they compete. Insanity. Why is Tiberius Dupree competing as Alex Hunt on page 3? Why is Parker Stevens smoking indoors? Why did they hit Hollywood's music 2 pages before his match? WHY? WHY? WHY?

I'm leaning more towards the Captain's idea. Just because then we can guarantee we have enough guys per team
-
FYI if you're a rookie and can't post, just lemme know on AIM or XBL or PM or whatever if you wanna sign up
-
We can do the final as a Live Unleashed Special.
-
There is a Time Limit. Potentially we could also turn Knockout ON, and see what happens.

Since there's a lot of guys who seem to enjoy playing the DM Title matches around, I've come up with something else that might interest you guys as regards DMs. Basically, it's a big tournament deal, but rather than being all about the individual, its about your team of 4 men. The idea can work one of two ways: -We could do teams based on where a CAW is from, ie Team USA, Team Canada, Team UK, Team Rest of the World (Unless theres scope for more countries). -We have several team Captains, and they just pick their team via a draft. Once we have teams (This is how we'd do it with 4 teams of 4 at least), we'd split into 2 groups, and have a series of matches to determine the winner of the group. A win would be worth 3 points, a draw worth 1, and a loss worth nothing (We'd have a 15 minute time limit on all matches in order to make the draw useful). The top teams would then progress into a knockout bracket against each other, and ultimately, the final would be contested by two people. The knockout stage would be seeded in order to get better match ups. Ultimately, the final 1 on 1 match would decide which team wins the 2013 OCW World Cup. So basically, this thread is to gauge if people would be interested, and maybe suggest ideas to how it could work. If you're interested, put your name in here, and we'll come up with something. Obviously, the more the merrier - ideally 32 people makes this idea work perfectly, but we can do it with less. So do what countless others do. Whatever happened with your Live Show title shot (Which Jay should clarify), take the bull by the horns. Some people can go years without winning titles, but they have interesting storylines - a reason to care about them. I don't mean any disrespect to you, but the last major Storyline you were involved with was the A-Team, and it frittered out because of your scumbag partner. OCW is as much about your persona as it is your skills on the sticks. Don't get me wrong, you're awesome at the game, but as a character, you've been sort of lacking for the last few months. Instead of getting frustrated, work on a feud. OCW isn't about winning the World Title - You can probably count on your hands and toes the amount of guys who've held that particular title. It's ultimately about making the best of what you've got. You build momentum, and a solid character, then a Champion will definitely want to work with you. Say what you like about us, but as "Champions", we're under pressure to make people care about us. We do that by working with the people we feel will compliment us best - you need to put yourself in that category. Again, this isn't anything personal, because I like you and Sean, but whining about shit isn't going to get you anywhere - make people want a piece of Cody Storm (no homo) and you'll be well on your way. PS - Who gives a fuck what RoC thinks

... I didn't ask for another shot? Furthermore, it's "home field advantage". I've worked fucking hard to defend my title all these times, so why shouldn't I pick and choose who I work with? It's about taking your chances - maximizing your minute. I won both titles in matches that were kinda thrust upon me. I took my chance, and now I'm working a storyline with Tyro. We wanted to work together, the title belts are irrelevant in this situation. We chose to work with each other.

Not to side with either man, but we need some sort of ruling on the Move Thief shit. Since it doesn't have the wake up taunt anymore, you need to physically move them into position. I tend to try to set it up in a cool way, but obviously, some people want to instantly do it. In that situation, Trance is right, you get 2 chances to reverse. At the end of the day though, its still a pick up finisher, so we need some sort of clarification on the matter.

OCW Breaking: Title Reigns, Ambition Specials and Weight Watching
Pugh replied to Pugh's topic in OCW The Magazine
You're mortally wounded though, so not active enough! -
OCWFED.COM Insider is back with some backstage tidbits about your favorite OCW Superstars -Paul Pugh has been mouthing off on social media sites, claiming himself to be the King of Hardcore - having successfully gained the longest Hardcore Championship reign of the Modern Era. According to the stats men, as of this Thursday's Riot, Pugh will have held the title for 132 days, meaning that only one man still active has held it longer - current OCW Champion Parker Stevens(Who was Champion for 167 days). Stevens has been quoted in the past as saying that he'd never let his streak of nineteen be beaten - and has even gone as far as to say he'd make himself number 19 should anyone get close. Although Pugh could technically hold the title longer, people are suggesting that, in order for the match to have the significance desired Pugh will have to defend his title 11 more times, starting with Chris Mania this week on Riot. If Pugh were to defend his title on every upcoming Riot, Ambition and PPV, he'd reach his 19th Defence on the 167th day - St Valentine's Day. A spooky coincidence, or a perfectly planned MGMT ploy? - Ambition this week is a crossover special, where two of OCW's biggest stars, Parker Stevens and Tiberius Dupree will spend some time with the rookies before the big show. It's understood that this weekend's show could possibly be an evalution whereby a decision will be made on certain talent moving up to the main roster. - Jacob Trance has apparently been ordered to slim down by OCW officials, after his recent outing against OCW Legend Chris Mania. Certain agents claimed that Trance looked a little bit more rotund than usual, and insisted that he join in with some of the "Rookie trials" before recent house shows. The rookie trials are notoriously difficult, and designed to weed out the rookies who don't want to put the work in to be a success in OCW. They involve several fitness based exercises, but it's understood that Trance passed them all with flying colors.
