David Jackson Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 *The camera fades in and we see Jim Black and D-Jack just finished eating from their lunch break.* D-Jack: That was some good Kentucky Friend Chicken. I don't care if it's just call KFC, to me, it will always be Kentucky Fried Chicken. Black: (Smiles) In that case, David, you are chicken and shall eat all of the bread crumbs that I put on the floor...(Black throws the bread crumbs on the floor and D-Jack starts acting like a chicken) D-Jack: Brawk! Brawk! (Starts pecking at the bread crumbs until there are none left) Mmmmm...beefy....oh, sorry, wrong guy. Black: I can't believe this guy is pro wrestler, left alone was a GM of a fed. Ok, you are done being a chicken and you shall continue answering all of my questions. D-Jack: (Wipes his mouth and sits back down in the chair) Since I am no longer a chicken, you can officially get us under way. Black: Hello OCW fans and welcome to part two of segment three of Down Time With D-Jack. As always, I am Jim Black and this nut case is Free Agent, David Jackson. We last left off with Jackson just being named the GM of HVW. How was the decision to make you GM taken by the rest of the locker room? D-Jack: It wasn't a popular decision. A good number of the locker room hated to hear that a 18 yr. old kid just became their boss and decided what matches were going to take place that week. The fact that I was still going to be a full time wrestler made their moods even more sour. They thought that I was going to get all of the good matches and all of the title shots. (Sad look on his face) I was sad when I heard about this. I almost cried. Black: Did you do anything to change their minds? D-Jack: Yes, I applied a few new policies: 1) An open door policy: If any superstar ever needed anything, come find and I will listen, no matter what I am doing. 2) A off-the-record policy: If you and I ever talked 1 on 1, it was always considered off the record and not repeated unless stated otherwise. 3) You get what you asked for policy: What ever match you wanted that week, you got. However, there was a 1st come, 1st serve rule. If someone asked for the match before you did, you would just have to wait. 4) Don't go to any rival fed and stir up trouble. I had no intention of me getting on bad terms with any other. I was lucky enough that none of the HVW superstars stirred up any trouble. Black: (Confused) You let the inmates run the asylum as far as matches go? Why would you do that? D-Jack: It made my job a little bit easier. By now, I was a wrestler, GM, writer, and booker. I was doing 4 jobs at once and I have learned watching WWE programming over the years that superstars listen to fans and do whatever they can to please them. Also, I gave extraordinary athletes a platform to do their trade. They did their work with no interference from me and as long as I saw a smile on their face, I was a happy dude. Black: What were the shows like in HVW and did you change any of the shows around when you took charge? D-Jack: There were no shows, we had one show a week and every week it was huge. Before I became GM, we had 60 active wrestlers and only 4 or 5 matches a week. As soon as I got into power, we had as many matches as I could think of. 30 matches a week became the norm (Black mouthed "30?"). That's right Jim, 30 matches a week. That's not including the fact that every superstar had promo time and interview time for that show. I'm lucky that we had very few no-shows or else our weekly showing might've fallen apart. Black: Did HVW have any pay-per-views? D-Jack: I can't think of them all right now, but I remember our 1st one: Battlefield. It happened two weeks after I became GM, we had 100 active wrestlers, and it was advertised as one of the literal biggest and longest pay-per-views in history. We were going to have 50 matches, 100 interviews, and 100 different promos (Jim's jaw drops). Put the jaw back into place, it gets better. Let me pull out my calculator on my cell phone for a second (Pulls out the cell phone) given the fact that we had 50 10 minute limit matches, 100 2 minute limit interviews, and 100 2 minute limit promos...that would equal to...(punches the numbers in his cell)...start time of 15 hours of wrestling material done that day. (Jim fainted) As soon as he regains conciseness, this interview shall continue. Till then, more explaining is in order. On our maiden voyage, we pushed to the top. When we sold out the arena, every person who bought them was told to clear their entire day of anything. We started @ 7 AM. I've never had to report to work @ 7 AM before and neither have 1/2 of the locker room, but we did because we believed in what we did. There was a huge line waiting outside the arena, 16,000 ticket holders were waiting at the doors @ 6:30 AM. On top of that, I was told that we had numerous pay-per-view buys right off the bat. We ran out of merchandise, trucks were running in and out with food, and everything was crazy that day. However, somehow we pulled it off. I see that Jim Black has regained conciseness (Jim regains, but still can't believe it). Black: (Takes deep breaths) 15 hour pay-per-view...holy crap...I can't believe it...wait...what were the main attractions for the pay-per-view? D-Jack: One of the main event matches was Klown defending his extreme title against Trent Becker. He won, by the way, in dominant fashion. We were suppose to have two other main events, but a problem arose. We were suppose to crown the 1st heavyweight champion and television champion, but 2 of the participants took a leave of absence due to family issues. Needless to say, I was in a panic. A quick solution was needed and it was the only one I could think of. It would be called a "Everyone Wins Match." It would involve the remaining two participants of those title matches. The participants were me, the final participant of the television tournament, and a 6'7" 300 lbs. guy named Big Sexy, the final participant of the heavyweight title tournament. Whoever won the match would be named the 1st ever HVW Heavyweight Champion and the loser would be named the 1st ever HVW Television Champion. It was a grueling match and each of us countered almost all of each others moves. Later on, it was labeled the 1st classic match of HVW. Big Sexy had me set up for a suplex, but I countered it into a small package roll-up for the three count and the win. I couldn't believe it. My 1st title ever was the company's main title and I won it two days before my birthday. The entire crowd stood up and chanted "HVW! HVW! HVW! HVW!" The entire HVW locker room poured out from the back and I grabbed a mic. I said "From the bottom of our hearts, we can't thank you enough for staying with us for 15 hours and for making this the best day of our professional lives. I don't know about you, but I am tired. How did you guys enjoy the show?" The crowd cheered and started chanting "Rematch! Rematch!" I said, "Ok, you want it, you got it. Every title match you have seen here tonight will have a rematch on our next show. Until next time, drive safe and be healthy." My apologies, but I can't continue this interview for the moment. I have a bad case of cotton mouth and my jaw hurts from talking. Let's continue this tomorrow if you don't mind. Black: One more question, if you don't mind. Did any of the titles have any certain meaning and who was the best HVW Superstar who held each title? D-Jack: Ok, last one and I am out of here. Well, the HVW EX Championship was for our hardcore title and it was open to all weight classes. It was given to the champion of the hardcore division who proved he could dish out pain as well as take it. Those who have held this title have gone on to hold other hardcore and various titles in other feds. The number 1 guy in the extreme division was Klown a.k.a Blake Ma'jin. The HVW Television Championship was our pure wrestling championship and it was open to all weight classes. Every one who held that title and wrestled for that title could out-wrestle anyone you put in front of them. Those who held this title earned their to challenge all of the other HVW titles as well as titles elsewhere. Our number 1 guy in the television division was Mark Army, now known as Banjo Grimm in OCW. The HVW Heavyweight Championship was our 2nd best jewel and it was open to all weight classes. On the most deserving or those with the most skill got to hold this title or challenge for it. Each guy who held that title has gone on to other feds and held their version of that belt. Our number 1 guy in the heavyweight division was me. I know I'm a light heavyweight, but I was the best. Now, good bye (D-Jack walks off camera) Black: I have a feeling D-Jack is getting annoyed with this, so we'll hold off on our next segment for a couple of days. Until next time, this is Jim Black with David Jackson. Stayed tuned for part three of segment three with Down Time With D-Jack. *Camera fades to black* http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/383813_10150416716952781_147904157780_8515390_2054734349_n.jpg

Brad Bauer Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 you had me at part one, but lost me at part two. Some of this is interesting to read, but I just don't get it. Are you GM'ing at another fed? If so, whose that crazy son of a bitch that actually thought it wise to put you in charge? So many f'ing questions....so little time.
