Also please be informed. You were already in OCW when the stipulation that was talked about a LOT of times was still going, in fact the contract of no compete clause is up only since March.

That was also explained in the S-Cup group stages, on why they couldn't put Quartz and Rust in the same.

Also, nobody is here to teach you the lore, work a bit, if you dont know shit that happened a month before you arrived, it is not writter's problem, or else we would have to repeat the same promos and explanations whenever a new guy comes around.

The stipulation keeping them apart doesn't tell me why Rust has to beat Quartz.

I understand there is a contingent here that feel like players should go back and read years worth of old content. That is setting a very high bar to participation and engagement. Nice to have if people do but we shouldn't expect it.

It's the biggest show of the year and if you're not explaining why you want to beat someone to entice viewers, potential customers to "buy the content", to make the audience see things from your perspective, root for you and get on board, then that is a writing problem. It's a lazy writing problem. You don't have to explain the whole history but give more than "I have to beat you before I leave". Especially when it's surrounded by grandstanding, pot shots at your opponents and a superiority complex.

some of the most viewed content from announcement to now, if our feud is mid card at best, the rest of the show is under card.

Horse and I are the special fucking attraction, as jake already said, We barely around and don't need to be and hes amped for it. We don't need a title, we don't need elaborate bs, its a match built in the background since horse's ill advised call out turned into gold. Jay can put what ever he wants where ever he wants and only the insecure will complain. I didn't complain when KD and I didn't main event lution, i knew my place yall bitches will learn yours.

now go refresh your videos to up your count to be above mine.

Entire feuds were built around the fact Rust is not able to beat Quartz. It is almost common knowledge and has been repeated so many time throughout different feuds, through some years, that it has been establish numerous times.

If I have to tell the people watching why Rust needs to beat Quartz everytime they see it, when it was the catalyst for numerous storylines and not even far from now, a year ago matter of fact, FOR 2 MONTHS FOR THE WORLD TITLE, then our feud would be only about that.

If going through just a year a OCW pains you, it is a you problem, not a writing problem.

Matter of fact not even that, since this feud was nominated in every category possible during the awards. Easy to catch up.

Imagine WWE having to explain every Orton Cena face-off.

The point you are missing here is that it is not the center of that 4 way feud, it is a nice little callback in the middle of, imo, a great RP otherwise that makes every participant personnality shine.

I know why some people try to be picky and talk about one particular subject, we are not blind. But speaking about the feud in itself and what others guys are doing in that feud is also important.

2. Jasmine/Flojo

I do not like when the content in the web show includes information that alters the context of what I have watched after I've watched it. FloJo was a babyface prior to this show. The post-match video showed that FloJo had sour grapes towards Terra and Sue and seemed to come out of nowhere. The written RP shows that it came earlier in the night. I would personally prefer that if there is going to be content that changes how content later is going to be received, it should be in video form so that the change can happen on the show and not afterwards.

I'll be sure to do two matches, three video promos, one being post-match video during a 6 day work week where I only have 6 hours of free time a day, which has to be divided between onboarding and driving two and from a work station two towns over, and sleeping, in the future.

There's nothing wrong with it being on the web show. People need content, and I feel like it adds a layer that wasn't there previously. Your take is valid, but I don't see how i did anything incorrect. Just didn't have the time to make it a video, and felt like I had enough 'screen time' as it is. Didn't want to take away from anyone else.

I understand there is a lot of history to reflect on. As I said before when you expect people to read/watch all of the past content you are setting a high barrier to engagement. I don't understand the IC reasoning behind that because you want to make your product accessible to audience members new and old. Especially when all it needed was a sentence or a paragraph at most. The OOC reasoning is more baffling; as a league we want people to take part, to understand what's going on and enjoy it but people think that players who haven't been around as long should go beyond what it takes to be active in order to understand what's going on if it started before they joined.

The placement of the Kass/Horse segment for me is a matter of pacing the show. The main event is the main event. The people involved built it towards a crescendo because they thought they were on last. A segment then came along that took all the wind out of the sails when people were ready to leave because they believed they'd seen the main event. It wasn't a surprise return as both Kass and Horse have returned recently so there's no surprise factor. It's hard to critique what the main event segment people could have done differently because the segment that followed it was not objectively superior. I didn't watch it and think "Yeah that definitely should have gone on last." It was a slow segment. Horse had a full entrance for a promo face-off and in the past we've seen people told to cut their entrance when it's for a promo - that should have been the case here. They talked at each other, didn't scrap and didn't really say anything we didn't already know. It would have made more sense as a written RP.

Horse hasnt been out recently at all so this is actually his first show back in actual form. i called him out, we got a video package of a lot of me and snippets of old him at the end, jay threw on the ending confirming it would be on lution, i rped about my ass, and this week i said i hope he physically shows up since it was just a video package and not him.

so you are incorrect.

I also wrote my portion thinking it was going to be written and if it was, jay coulda still put it at the end of the show cuz even early production era, written rps followed the main event and people saw it on the webshow. whether its video or not and it came after the ME, it is what it is and thats Jay's choice. No one elses

You should never assume your position

Written RPs

TerraMiSue/Nerd Bash and TerraMiSue / the Bigot.

Terra and Sue have a great dynamic, and Jake and Jamie bounce off of each other as well in writing as they do in gameplay. Their arc is a lot more wholesome, at least thus far, than most 'wrestling marriage' angles. No one is trying to break up their marriage, there's no hints of some grand betrayal, it's just two women loving women and all that entails. Oh, and they're wrestlers! That isn't lost in the shuffle either, which I can appreciate.

Also OCW said women's rights, FUCK YOU.

Hito-Gui

I'll be honest, I don't particularly care for Hito-Gui, as I'm not as deep into the Lotus Lore™ as some of the older heads in this fed, but I gotta give the writer props for doing an excellent job establishing his character and hitting the ground running with him. Even with a loss (that I'm pretty sure booking didn't think he was gonna have) to Chris Verde, Hito-Gui still feels like a very present and real threat. That takes some serious writing chops to do while also not glossing over or ignoring recent events. Excellent job to the writer on this one.

IS THIS DARK REESE?

The Clark Effect with Reese is pretty fun, as it seems like Mark might be leaning a bit into his meaner side for this feud. I'm not sure if I buy a full heel turn from him right now, but if he's working heel in Wembley, hoot, I won't complain!

Segments

Kass vs. Horse

While I don't think personally I'd have had this segment go on last, I don't particularly hate it! Kass vs. Horse is a perfect 'special attraction' / one-time hype match like a Brock vs. Goldberg II or something like that. Horse coming out to his old theme and with an older look popped me, as well, though I would have rathered him keep that half-paint look he was rocking at the start of this game.

Also RIP Horse Pyro.

Maxx vs. Archer

Maxx name-dropping THREE ROOKIES who have been involved with Archer, Feinstein, or Dillinger on this promo is some fucking CONTINUITY. It really crystallizes Maxx's motivation as a babyface- he's tired of rich old fucks holding down the new stars, and he's gonna do something about it.

The 'If Archer Wins, I Own Edwards' thing is also cool! There's so many things you can do with that, even to the extent of, if Jamie and Maxx decided not to go full-time 'Nexus Cena' with it, have Maxx wrestle under a mask or something. The possibilities are endless for two creative minds like Maxx and Jamie.

Matches

Damn we really said FPR was a suggestion, this show, huh?

Also, it's apparently bad form to nominate your own matches, but I don't care.

TerraMiSue vs. Nerd Bash

This match was fun to play, fun to watch back, and generally just a good time all around. You can tell from watching everyone involved is comfortable with everyone else, and nobody looked out of place or like they couldn't keep up. Everyone got their chance to shine and do some good work, there was some tag team maneuvers, and the match itself told a story. Can't get any better than that. Fuck you, I'm giving Jake and Jamie all the flowers tonight.

For your first paragraph:

Spoiler that's what most of us did by ourselves.

I am interested in the product and want to understand things, who paved the way for me and how it all unfolded, I didn't wait or people to explain to me, I searched, I asked in public, I did the digging, like most of us did.

It's called a lore. If you like everything to be handed to you without getting your hands dirty just a little tiny bit, again, not a writter or storyteller fault.

It's a lazy person's fault.
