It was no easy task, I guarantee you that. Blade was actually all over Guy like a cheap suit on RD Money. Even with Guy's impressive weight loss (which earned him the roll as Subway's new Jared) Guy just wasn't up to speed with the switchblade quickness that Blade brought to the rumble. There were a couple of times when Blade was able to punch his way out of Fausto's grasp, but Guy kept his cool and worked his way to a comeback. Unfortunately, the time limit expired right when Guy unleashed a series of moves that lead to his finisher and the dub. Sorry, Guy... rules is rules. CLOSEST MATCH Parker Stevens vs. Josiah Cross: Actually a tie between this match and Guy vs. Blade, but I don't want their heads to swell to Dawonder proportions, so I'll skip them. The match with Parker and Josiah wasn't exactly busting the ceiling when it comes to points, but Josiah revealed some impressive weapon handling skills... which makes sense, considering his past. Parker, of course, is Parker. We've come to expect his unrivaled Hardcore Mastery and his ability to drop the Bow from anywhere in the arena. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the next time he hits it, it's from the top of an audience member's head. The only downside is how the weapons distracted both men from garnering any real points in this match. Trying to hit someone with a chair can be time consuming and it causes more damage than a suplex, making it difficult to go the distance. If you don't believe me, try hitting your girlfriend with a chair about 20 times and then see how long you last in the sack. I'm aware that this is how Heaton probably picks up chicks in the first place, but we won't count him. BIGGEST GAP Leonheart vs. Anthony Martin: Leon hits the ranking board with a vengeance, putting a nice gap of 126 points between him and Anthony Martin. Anthony had a 2-2 record and average of 315 points per match before this point, but Leon's desire to establish himself as a top competitor was just too much for the Martini Man. Leon may not be friends with everyone in the back, but no one can deny his obsession with being #1. Anyone with that much drive, tends to be a hard man to stop and makes him someone I'd prefer to have on my team, as opposed to it. HONORABLE MENTION Casey Paine: Casey is breaking new ground where ever she goes. Multiple Women's Champion, former ToP member, accompanying the current OCW Champion and competing against men like it ain't no thang. She outdoes herself this time around and becomes the first woman... nay, first wrestler to break 100 points in less than two minutes. Congrats Casey - now you have something to talk about while the doctor is putting a laser to your genital warts. Joke of the Day: How do you turn a washing machine into a snow blower? She's tough, but she ain't exactly built like Beth Phoenix. Bauer started to get a fix on her and soon enough, she was walking around with her hand on her own head for once. And yes, as I said before, Smythe seems to get better with each match. Whether he wins or loses, he's progressively earning more points each time. Sure, Mayhem may have had the match won at one point, but he failed to hook the leg and the ref had no choice but to break the pin. A win is a win, as they say.
