Hey Kage, as the only other person who got the demo from pre-ordering, I distinctively remember vetoing this game with a fiery passion. You were so wrong!

 

This game is broken, botched, quick grapples v strong grapples is bull shit, and I really miss being able to walk like I wasn't a fucking cripple.

To the point on the Main Event, or "Jays Special Group of People" They nore myself want to hold anyone down. As a matter of fact we want as much quality to start coming up so they can take the Reigns.

 

What alot of you "New" people or new breed are feeling is something called "Being Held To A Higher Standard" What that means is you are expected to conduct yourself to a higher point that someone else. Thats one big part of the M.E

 

They arent perfect no man is, but you can count on being entertained ( or at least count on me being entertained 100% of the time. Thats the point how in good conscience can ME Ease off for the new people, when they dont hold the same values?

 

What happens is we will got some schmuck as Champion who no one appreciates who is shady to play against and who as a whole makes OCWFED look like a bastion for unethically sound louses.

 

I wont let that happen. So if in short if you think its The ME afraid of losing there spot, its not. Its the ME afraid to share there spot with crappy minded players.

 

I mean think about it would you like me to run OCWFED as such where I go out and try to do as much damage to everyone as possible? Or would you prefer me to run OCWFED like its being run now, as fair as fucking possible?

 

 

And my final point about 08 it was discussed way before hand, that the game is easier. Even Kage said "It Will help even the playing field". Welp there goes your playing field!. I personally think the game is a combination of luck and tactics rather than pure unadultered skill. And Im going to go out on a limb and Consider 06 to be pretty much the Gut Check to judge skill by. It was easy to play but difficult to Master and when a guy like nate could reverse 99% of your offense it came down to pure skill.

 

As for my true final thought, Who knows what the future holds. Im being told while not heavy on options. TNA has a very solid gameplay model, meaning you can actually work specific parts like Left Leg, Right Leg, Right Arm Left Arm, 90%+ Reversablity of moves etc. Who knows, long story short. Be on the look out for the Summit, id like as many people to show up as possible so every branch is represented.

EDIT: In OCW a win took skill, no doubt. I remember my match with Otomo being amazingly enjoyable last year. I came so close to beating him with my cruiserweight, and I was so excited. This single match meant absolutely nothing on a larger scale, but this kind of match happened every time I played in 07. If I beat Otomo in 08, I would not really care.

 

Because I am lazy, this probably ended up meaning half of what I meant to post, but I hate thinking.

 

Edit2: In 07 every match I played was fun, as I already said. I had one match that pissed me off - vs Ryder - and thats it. Now, I get DMs in the, what, month I have been back, that piss me off.

Honestly, i think this is sorta bogus.

 

I am for 08. Im no better than what i was in 07, look at my record in 08, more loss than wins. But 08 does give different people the ability to win. So what, if reversing is easier, this is more a mental game now. You cant be predictible or youll get squashed. Watch my match with Smythe. I was owning his ass, like he was my slave, and i kept being predictible, then he makes a come back, and hips my ass, in an AWESOME match.

 

Some people will ALWAYS have bad ethics, plain and simple. Call them out, and give them the 3 strike rule. Steroids and MLB has it, why cant we. You're speaking to a guy, who arguably is one of the most fairest players OCW has. I like the game, although it has its weak points, going back to 07 is ridiculous.

 

I dont think its ME vs New Breed. I think its 50/50 with a mixture of everyone hating and liking it. Why move back to 07, when some have traded it in, and some never want to put it back in, including me.

 

Why cant we march through this game, and make the best of it. I dont think 08 causes bad ethics, it people causing it. Sorry to call you out Jaysin, but if you would grow some, and kick people to the fucking curb, then we wouldnt have this mess.

 

We need FPR to be more active, and we need it now. We need an iron fist, and we need a 3 strike rule.

 

This is all my opinion on the matter.

I like 08 too it mixes things up more. Yes the dynamics are different & it's easier to pick up but it has also helped good spots, videos, options, matches, & storylines that helped get me into OCW. AA's right keep 08 just be 100% clear on what's being cheesy since it's blurry right now. That ought to help things and if there's still problems go from there.

 

I honestly think more of the roster will be gone if 07 is what we keep. I know at least all 3 members of Death Row will be done for certain.

 

If it comes down to it why not have an 07 show and an 08 show if the numbers are right? Everybody's happy & there's still 2 shows to follow. Ambition (if kept) can be a blend of 07 & 08 matches of lower-tier guys.

 

Ideally I say keep 08 until 09 comes out. Transitioning at this point would be a disaster and would take too long to get it rolling.

I did some thinking and honostly im tired of all the complaining about ethics. It's time FPR police and OCW in general step it up and make some of the ethics requirements FPR rules. You dont like all the whipping make a 3 corner whip per match rule. You dont like some of these quick set up punches...BAN THEM. Allow someone to only have one type of quick grapple set up and spamming is not allowed. Every match should start with a Big Grapple that way we dont have people running at you or getting an upper hand through quick grapples. Im sure we could make a long list and pick the top 5 five and im sure a positive change would come out of it.

 

We need some new rules, I think the no punching in grapples was a nice addition...we just need more of these.
