Michael Morrison Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Trance vs. Ryder: Trance shows off his new Nike Ring-Runner boots but he needs to work on his top rope prowess. If someone can pull a Samoa Joe sidestep on your ass, you gotta work on your timing, buddy. Ryder looked to be in good form and had his diving deliveries perfectly timed. He even managed to pull the 'ol Possum Pin... which I remember very well. But, was it enough to stop the speedy Trance? I-Gen RP: I had to read through this one twice, as I had trouble following certain parts, but I guess Leon had no trouble following the boys who hide their toys. Accusations are made as Deano catches up on the I-Gen 411. Trance / Ryder RP: Two opponents turned allies? No, wait... they're opponents again. Nope, now they respect each other again. Oh... I see, they respect each other but a belt has come between them. A forbidden love that cannot be. So romantic. Kip vs. Irving: Interesting match-up here. The Sunset Strip meets The Prison Yard... the Sunkissed Blonde faces Tattooed Bully. Although this match wasn't as fast-paced as the first match of the night, the soundtrack is definitely a vast improvement. Kip shines like a star - 'cus stars are shiney - but Irving constantly eclipsed the Sunset Kip with his refusal to die. They're gonna have to pump up the dosage for lethal injections if Irving ever ends up back behind bars. Despite his seeming inability to go towards the perverbial light, it may be too little too late, as Kip stays on the offensive. Can Kip Konrad finally get Seth to shut his crapper yapper? MadMen RP: Umm... Morrison and Stevens continue to torment their camera-man as they make a dramatic entrance. Also, you learn a little fun fact about the population of North Dakota. Parker vs. Deano: A tough match for Deano to walk into. While others have been on a Hardcore Tour, Deano's been on a Sex Tour. Now, I'm no genius, but I'm pretty sure that those are two different kinds of "hard". Speaking of hard... Deano's junk is 100% sledgehammer resistant. More than likely, due to all the calluses from frequent hammering of it's own. I have to bring up something, concerning the match's soundtrack at around 8:40... did I really hear someone say, "But I be feelin' like Bruce Willis, each and every day I really wanna die hard"? Did I really hear that shit? Tell me... he didn't just say that. And during a tribute song to his dead father? For fuck's sake. Smythe RP: Smythe isn't all too happy about Nate's upcoming PPV: Black Sunday: but at least he ain't no jive turkey. He believes he discovered just who his "surprise" opponent will be and he claims ownership of this individual's punk ass. Mace vs. Aries: What a grueling match this was. Can precision overcome power? Does size really matter or is the motion of the ocean really what gets the job done? These are all good questions, which I'm sure no one is really going to answer, nor will this match, as it was just too close to call. Parker / Valmont Video: Someone was kind enough to make a tribute video, commemorating the five asswhoopings that Vincent Valmont has suffered against Parker Stevens in the past. This can either get inside Valmont's head - opening the floodgates of self doubt - or perhaps it can spark the current of change... change that Valmont needs to finally even the score? Well... technically it would be 1 -5, so it wouldn't exactly be even... but he'd be one step closer to being even... which is still pretty good. VFM RP: Mr. Montpellier realizes that Leonheart has been reaping the benefits from VFM's evilness as of late. Thanks to Versuse, Leon has been #1 on the Most Wanted list, two weeks in a row. This does not sit well with Mr. Montpellier as he realizes the horrific enevitablities this may cause. Best part: Morrison's breef but pivotal guest appearance. Vimes RP: This guy sure is persistent, with no signs of giving up. If only his height didn't give up, maybe he'd be one foot closer to eye level. Anyways, we are reminded of the mild discomfort of the chinlock as a doctor recounts the time Guy Fausto visited their most unfortunate hospital. Valmont RP: Don't Say It, Just Spray It!!! I'm not sure if mentioning how badass your opponent is... well I'm not sure if it's the best method to use before the big PPV. I'm just sayin'. Then again, reverse spychology has been known to work, so carry on. Valmont vs. VFM: Well, I must admit... Valmont looked well-versed in the art of Hardcore during this match. However, Mr. Montpellier recently had a win over the bionic Nate Ortiz, who recently had an upgrade of +5 strength and +500 resilience. Both men are on an impressive role as of late, but me thinks Valmont has a slight edge over VFM due to his Hardcore Tour. Leonheart (w/Jaysin) vs. Nate Ortiz: Bah... much like when Double A and Bauer go cruising the special Olympics for tail, this might as well have been a two-on-one handicap match. The only reason I won't complain more is because Nate comes out with "Cenafied" attire and salute... so a part of me wanted him to get jobbified. Then again, it's not so much if Nate will defy the odds, but just how will he defy them. My bet is that he'll pull the 'ol dick slap to those pesky odds. EDIT: Wooooo, first post!
Administrators Mr.Sensation Posted November 29, 2008 Author Administrators Posted November 29, 2008 Wow posted pretty early and only 24 views, thats pretty piss poor. Maybe its the holiday. The show itself is pretty short and to the point, non the less entertaining. Discussion better shoot the fuck up by tonight or theres gonna be trouble cats and kittens. 15-06, 18:20 Tiberius Dupree make him tap with brownie mix "Booking Wrestling is the most thankless no-win position anyone could ever be in. Parker Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Just like to say thanks to Deano for stepping up and replacing kang, who was obviously running scared of me :) But dammit....i vowed never to get bronco bustered by a man.....especially a man in pink :( Onto the show..... The first I-Gen rp is gold, had me lmao..seems deano is a little behind the times. Seth vs Kip was a ppv calibre match, awesome, this is the seth i was expecting to turn up to our ppv match a few weeks back...great match guys. Same goes for Mace vs Aries, for a lhvy, Aries is a monster...Kip vs mace is gonna be amazing at the ppv. Have i really done 31 hardcore title defenses? dam, even i'm a little impressed with that, thanks for pointin that out VV :) VV vs VFM was also good as versus isnt usually in hardcore matches, i also think VFM has the BEST set up move for his finisher in all of ocw, i love that rolling clothesline into the 420 BC, its......perfect. ME was a good match also...but Sensation should be banned from goin anywhere near the top turnbuckle, not only does he fail at elbow rops, he also fails at frog splashes! http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/5774/sig2uq.jpg 2 x Hardcore Champion (Longest defending OCW champ,19 defences) 1 x NA Champion 1 x Pride Champion 1 x TV Champion 2 x OCW World Heavyweight Champion F.I Winner 2012 MOTN vs Leonheart @ Wrestlution 7 'Don't worry about no one else, hows my hair look' - Tiberius Dupree 'Wipe you ass and go to bed' - Sensation to B17
Michael Morrison Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 He's pretty good at falling off aprons... just putting that out there.
Vincent Valmont Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Just being modest here ;), but might wanna check that MW list again Morrison. Great reviews, and I do wish more people comment besides the usuals. I'll get a review written soon. OCW's 2008's Most Improved Wrestler 2x OCW Heavyweight Champion2x OCW Hardcore Champion
Deano Horse Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Can't watch the matches on this shitty iPhone but I've read all the rp's. Not many this week but the ones that are they are good. I'm liking these mad men rps with the camera man. Although I'd be pretty pissed that in the unlikely event of a plane crash my parachute reads 'how not to die... ' good stuff men! VFM entertains as usual. Not a happy bunny to know that my boy Vinnie V is sitting pretty above every other wrestler in ocw. I wonder if this is catching parkers attention? I take it the show is short due to this mickey mouse holiday you Americans enjoy. Also great reviews from MMM and Stevens keep up the good show reviewing I likey. And No your eyes are not playing tricks with you I DID take a running sledge hammer shot straight to the twig and berries. Sweet spot. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g289/jlethridge1/kiss.gif The DeanoHomo Club Member Kip Conrad
Eddie Mace Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I'm liking this I-Gen vs Bloodline thing, I can really dig it. I felt bad for Deano having to face Parker though. Sorry Deano. I didn't have faith. I also lol'ed at the little thing Parker did by having the pink background when the "mystery voice" was talking lol. Nice & subtle. Is Seth's nickname purley to spite Mayhem since he returned only to be re-buried by Seth? Don't answer that Seth. I think you know what's coming. All of Aries & I's tv matches have been pretty competitive & fairly long, so I expected the same thing this time around. Always fun to play though. This was also good booking by the GM's since Aries & I were both involved in title matches coming up at the ppv & both are on significant win streaks. I'll let you guys see whose streak ends on Riot though... Also VFM name drops...I don't see the Braddock references stopping either lol SLAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/827/macesig2eq4.jpg lano15: liddel got KO'd!!! lano 15: thats what i am gonna do to you in UFC mastamatt1: i'm gonna drop you so hard you're gonna think you're Nick Cage the actor mastamatt1: & the name of our fight will be gone in 60 seconds
Vincent Valmont Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Welcome to Valmont Riot was very entertaining this week as I was surprised how short of a show it was, but it didn't disappoint not one bit. A few good matches, and alot of well written RPs. Nice to see some people review. It sucks I'm always slow getting a review done for the shows. Props to Morrison and Parker again with their great reviews. Page 1- Trance vs Ryder 3.5/5- Starting off Riot we got 2 ex-star going 1on1. In my opinion Ryder is probally one of the most underrated among the roster in OCW. Trance is the #1 contender heading into Black Sunday for the ex-title, so this should be a good matchup for Ryder to prove something. Touching on some of the things said by previous reviews, onto the match. Ryder indeed looked in good form, and I was surprised to see him go red first. I marked for the botched five-star frog splash, too funny to not mark for. Match really got intense at the end betwee both men. I saw a bit of lag kick in near the end as well. The possum pin made a apperance, but did it help Ryder to a W? Congrats to both men, and nice preview of what a opener to Riot should be. I-Gen welcomes back the sexiest man to wear pink in OCW, Deano Horse. Fount it funny when trying to get Deano back into the swing of events in OCW. Nicely written, and long RP. I blame chair shots to the head for taking forever to realize the chick was actually a guy. :( Page 2- I didn't really get about the RP following the match between Ryder and Trance, but it does seem interesting. Kip vs Irving 3.5/5- Similiar styles play a part in this match, as you think of the Black Sunday pride title match between Kip and fellow death row member, Eddie Mace. I'm sure Mace watched this match in hopes that Kip gets beat down heading into their title match. Which i'm also certain that Irving wants to prove something against the pride champ, and to his faction member. Match starts off good, alot of offense. Irving played well, but Kip had that step ahead of him. I bet Kip was annoyed at how Seth doesn't like to lose and those godly fin reversals. Another good match for Riot, following that nice opener. Aggressive match that didn't stop until the ref counted the 3 count. Congrats to both men, and definitely the winner. I marked for this RP. Every RP from MadMen are golden. I feel sorry for that cameraman. Page 3- Parker vs Deano 3/5- Will this be a warm up for Parker, or a test heading into Black Sunday? Deano still got some ring rust from his previous matches, but might get a break with having weapons to use. To have the nerve of putting the sexiest man in OCW in a ring with the mime, and risk injury to the face is a tragedy and someone will pay what they owe. Aside from this match being a bit predictable, it was quite enjoyable. This match featured a few good spots, and Deano brings in a new meaning of the statement "balls of steel". Congrats to both performances, and the winner. The commentary for the match at the end was markworthy. Smythe lays down the truth. He doesn't like surprises, and the mystery opennant's ass belongs to SDW. Will this statement come back to haunt the longest reigning tag champ? Mace vs Aries 4/5- Although he's been on a roll, this matchup goes in favor for Mace, but I was surprise how this match turned to be. A really close match that saw a early finishable Aries fight off Mace and his rampage. Since Aries got beaten down early, this match was quite interesting for mainly the whole duration of the match. Power isn't everything in this match, or is it? Props to Aries in this match, and congrats to the winner. Whoever made the video of my 5 asswhoopings from Parker is a jerk! It seems VFM doesn't like me claiming top rank in OCW, but what will he do to stop it? Page 4- The midget continues the search, but with the height problems I can see why it's hard to find Fausto. The chinlock makes a cameo. This reminds me of those where's waldo books, only it's not that easy... Hardcore tour #8 - VFM vs Valmont - Not going to comment, but I enjoyed fighting VFM for the first time. I played better than I thought, but playing against guys like VFM it tends to bring out the best in some people. ME - Leon vs Nate 4/5- When this match started off I had a feeling Nate wasn't going to lose this match because of his Cena attire, which also put me in a confused state of mind because of how much I disagree with Jay and his teacher pet, but also my hate for Cena. Jay sucks at being a manager, and yet I still hate manager views. The whole match I wanted Nate to just knock the hell outta Jay one good time. :) The ending left me sad, yet satisfied like I felt like after my last one night encounter. :( Props to all 3 performances, and Jay's ability to suck at the manager role.
