The Steve Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 How the hell is one supposed to set up a ground finisher? Not to mention, all you need is a strike to set up a front finisher, but yet a strike setup is wrong with a ground finisher? Get skills. Not everything that is difficult to reverse cheesy. Stacey Adams Posted April 27, 2009 Author Posted April 27, 2009 do you not have a ground finisher Steve! clearly you know how to set that up! we all know the general rule is a running move or a knockdown strike into a finisher is a ethical no-no. the ideal set up is a strong grapple. or this year a sig move is cool. turnbuckle moves are mid tier. this is also common knowledge. Its to each his own. I guess. Like for me I'm not going to do a knock down punch or quick grab right into my ground finisher. Its gonna be my fig move spot, drop toe hold, full nelson facebuster, and very rarely a ddt. I do it because IMO ground finishers are easier to hit and IMO I feel I'm taking the easy way out If I go for a ground finish without the set up. Same reason I won't hit a finisher on someone on the move that turns them finishable. Nothing against the rules but it just makes me sigh like a number of other things that are done that aren't against the rules. May 29 2005 - Present Took Dupree's Summer
The Steve Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 You don't watch my matches then. I'll put the guy down ANY way I can. It's all legal and ethical since the opponent has a couple opportunities to reverse. So long as you give the guy that split second chance to reverse it, it's legal. There is no difference what so ever in striking a guy down and grappling him down...no difference. EDIT: ...and Stacey, I argue when I see someone post something dumb. Leon Valentine Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 I OWNED THE CHYAMP! who still feels sour about that *sheds emo tear for Leon Firstly you didnt own the CHYAMP. You did win however so congrats since just like your match this past Riot. My brain was asleep and next time i will give you a loss worse than that. You saw what i did to Smythe at Wrestlelution and believe me Cruz. You don't want to meet the same fate my little mexican friend.
Stacey Adams Posted April 27, 2009 Author Posted April 27, 2009 Nate has the approach that FPR uses. There's certain ways to go about different finishers. The guy that use ethics climb the ladder faster than the ones that don't. This is also common knowledge. Hello
The Steve Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Why does no one complain when I arm drag them down and slap on The Steve? I give them ample time to reverse my finisher. Sensation: "I'm an ignorant hispanic."

Nate Ortiz Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 As I talked to Steve about in private. With a front fin you get 1.5 secs, with a ground fin its much more time. So it's easier from that perspective. To each his own, you can shake your head but you can't hate on someone for doing it. May 29 2005 - Present Took Dupree's Summer
The Steve Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 One of the most ethically sound. Called this morning and it's getting shipped from Texas today. Sensation: "I'm an ignorant hispanic."
