For the past two months, you may have noticed a series of vague adverts, sharing a similar yellow & black color scheme. The first advert was seen on RIOT, May 27th, 2010, in a two-part series of posters: the first, stating "The meek have inherited the earth..." with the second statement finalizing, "...but the strong shall rise."

A short video would air during the 'Damnation' PPV in early June, sharing a similar message while remaining just as vague. We did, however get a glimpse of an image: the letter "U" with "OCW" crossing the center in smaller text.

The most recent advert appeared during last week's episode of 'RIOT' and although it may reveal that the "U" stands for "Underground", there are no real revelations to be found. Even the time of this impending event can be seen in one of two ways: either it will occur during the fall season or -- considering the first adverts -- someone, or something, will symbolically fall in 2010.

After the latest advert, the only thing we did discover, was just how little everyone seemed to know... or how little they were willing to reveal. Considering how the abbreviations "OCW" appear in the ads, one would assume that our employers would divulge some desired information, but they were very tight-lipped about the whole thing; some even appeared to be sincerely oblivious to what it all meant.

We dug a little deeper and spoke to those who handled the video-spot during 'Damnation', and that's where we caught our break: a familiar name in the form of Damian Alexander. Some of you may remember Mr. Alexander as the alleged brother of one Michael Morrison, or as the CEO of O.W.N magazine.

Either way, Mr. Alexander has a serious bank-roll to play with and is often seen playing in the squared-circle sandbox of the professional wrestling world. Could this be his latest special project... or is he just supplying the cash? We caught up with Mr. Alexander in an attempt to find out.

SC: Mr. Alexander, what is the "Underground" and why are you funding it?

DA: First of all, what is this "Underground" you speak of and even if I knew what it was, who says I'm funding it?

SC: Have you not seen the last episode of 'RIOT', or more importantly, the video which aired during the 'Damnation" PPV in June?

DA: ....Oh yes... that Underground. How would I know what it all mean? Last I saw, it looked like OCW was doing the backing: it was their abbreviations in the ads, after all. You should talk to your employers.

SC: We tried that and when they gave us their poker faces, we decided to ask little Joe Dirt; who spends all his days locked up in a media truck, making others look good while he goes unnoticed. You high rollers tend to neglect the worker bees when formulating your little plots and thus cracks are created... which we, of course, find.

DA: That was a long way to go for a, "I asked Joe and he dropped your name", but I dig the over-dramatization. Congrats, but we both know the reality of what this means.

SC: ...Which would be?

DA: Joe may have dropped my name, but he doesn't know a thing outside of that, so really, you have nothing. All you have are maybe's and could-be's. Maybe I'm funding something that could be a game changer... or maybe someone in OCW asked me to drop off a DVD in order to throw you off.

[During this part of the interview, Mr. Alexander received a call and while on the phone, entered a limousine. Before driving off, his window opened and he revealed something exclusively to us.]

DA: Just got off the phone with my... "partners in crime", and we agreed to give you "media-sharks" a little something to nibble on. At this point, all I can say is that the Underground is indeed an event: one that embodies a part of OCW, which some consider to be -- to borrow a word from you -- neglected. Certain individuals will have a choice to join or watch from the sidelines.

SC: So it's safe to say that this isn't some kind of faction or superstar push?

DA: See... I give you a nibble and you want every last drop... just like a shark, indeed. As far as your question is concerned: I'm not a promoter, I'm a pioneer.

[Mr. Alexander made a gesture to the driver and the vehicle slowly began to pull away, but we managed to get a few more words out of the self proclaimed "pioneer". Take from it what you will.]

SC: I suppose that's all I'm getting out of you?

DA: You're probably right on that one. By the way, that is a lovely ring.

SC: Thank you?

DA: You wouldn't happen to know your ring size, would you?

SC: Actually... I don't.

DA: No one ever does for some reason. People should know information like that, don't you think?

[Vehicle pulls away.]

So there you have it, ladies and gentlemen: Damian Alexander is tied to the mysterious adverts; which promote an upcoming event where a choice must be made and the choice was made clear by Mr. Alexander: join or watch from the sidelines.

The details surrounding the event are still unclear, but we'll keep you informed as we learn more.

I was going to comment on this this past Riot but time got away from me. I haven't really seen anyone discussing this, probably because they are clueless to what it's all about. I'm excited about this, sounds awesome.

Sounds like an ECW-Invasion style storyline.

Perhaps the former stars of OCW returning for an event? I dunno.

I'm speculating at the moment but, to be honest, you best not drag this out too long or people will lose interest.

There's been far too many disappointments regarding speculation over things, such as last week's Riot.(Don't promise us HoFers when we're not getting them)

it would be interesting to see Ho'Fers vs. Rookies type thing.. but that wouldn't necessarily tie into "Underground". But I have a huge huge hunch that its something like the NXT. Just a hunch..
You don't mean anything. You're insignificant and you will never know what hate is.
