Useless Dane Xavier Posted October 12, 2010 Share Posted October 12, 2010 This is for anyone that's joined OCW as a fan, anyone who hasn't joined and watches the shows as a guest, anyone who was recruited but flaked a week later, anyone at all that has hesitated to get on their computer, write an RP, do a match, or do anything at all for OCW... This anniversary show is the epitome of what OCW was, and still is today. There was true emotion put into this show, and might I add it was eloquently put together, one of the smoothest flowing shows in a while. For six years, we have dealt with THQ's subtle attempt to run this place in the ground, and for six years OCW has stood the test of time and fought tooth and nail. OCW has survived 2 page shows, SvR servers being down, being hacked, being shit on by me for no apparent reason, gay people, lazy people, and emo people. OCW has had more obstacles to overcome than any other fed on the planet, and when they couldn't survive one obstacle, we've survived them all. We... a word I hesitate to use... because I shouldn't even be considered we, I shouldn't even be here. But you know what, I am. I'm going to be here, to help out the community, to record a match for someone (when i get my PC back), to help out with an RP, to do what I've done all year long. I've learned a lot in the past 3 years that I've been in and out of OCW. I've learned to job and still make myself look good, I've learned to take my losses like a man, my RP skills have improved greatly, and even though I've been jobbing my ass off lately I'm still having fun with this place. I know I will probably never be accepted as WE by many, but even if you don't like me as a person, work with me as a wrestler, because every person that you don't work with because you don't like them is just another brick falling out of the wall. We are the glue that holds the bricks together, we need to all bond together to keep this place alive. Here's to another six years of OCW history. Cheers gentlemen and ladies of the few. This was a great show... hopefully it's inspired some creativity as we got to see new versions of some of the Classic Caw's. Majin looked amazing... good to See Nate, Steve and Majin say something... I marked for Kage not breaking character... it looked good... Leon's return made me happy... as did Kang... another slew of possibilities... just like a real fed... and speaking of that... What I hope to see is just that... the return of a real fed... as opposed to... "everyone wants to be the greatest"... Smythe Dawonder was built on taking massive bumps... and doing the job in two on ones... 3 on 1's... matches with 3 women... feuding with the Vic Vimes cause nowone would work with him... to being Leon's Lacky... to being Sensations lacky and the list goes on... No matter what happens to OCW and my career... I created a wrestler... gave him a distinct personality... and I made hime a functional character in a federation... that's what I wanted as a fan of wrestling... and that's what I'm doing... I love every minute of it... I didn't write a blurb for the show... because it's not Something Smythe would do.... also I 'm still active and this isn't really for me... it's for the guys that put OCW together... 6 years of anything is a great accomplishment... and if you've been around E-feds you know how hard it is to keep them together... 6 years truely is amazing... I tip my hat to you bossman.... just this once ;)... and with 2011 on teh way... 6 player matches and hopefully no unlimited kickout glitch... This will most likely be a year to remember.... let's go for the best year ever... let's try to top Lution 3!!!! (even tho Lution 4 had more views!!!) Josiah Cross Posted October 13, 2010 Share Posted October 13, 2010 Wow. Now that's effort well thought out and delivered with some satisfying results. Couple words but ill keep it short... I found myself today randomly watching "The Spirit of OCW 2008" video I put together a few years back (it's been that long? Damn.)...why? No idea, but OCW just has that lasting affect. I do this...I do that...I go here...there...etc. OCW still remains. I log on to the site tonight and find this show, and man was I impressed by the content and work every one put in. By old and new guys. It was nice seeing some of the old faces RP again (nobody matches Majin style of RPs, ha). Just wanted to say well done OCW...6 years...DAMN! And to Jay, some great words in regards to the history, contributions, and the success that is Online Championship Wrestling. I have had many a great memories here, from the RPs, to the matches, brainstorming storyline angles before falling asleep, Cross Examinations, bringing in RL friends like Mace and A-Jax in and chatting it up about current affairs of the league, making PPV recaps, aiding Bold in the fight against the Inner Circle, trying my hardest to hold OCW gold (never did), screwjobs (several I can think of), the epicness of being a part of Wrestlution and making my debut there, and on and on I could continue. So my thanks to you for the years of entertainment you have provided and to all them good times kicking ass, taking names, and arguing with Double A and Smythe about stupid shit I so dearly enjoyed partaking in.
