I don't know if you were trying to be funny or if you really feel that way about Baxter... so to clarify the way I feel (because I don't want anyone to think I have any hate or judgement towards Baxter, as I consider him a member of the OCW family and would even go so far as to consider him a friend): I may poke fun at Baxter's orientation from time to time, but it's all in good fun and I'm fairly confidant that Baxter knows I mean no real harm. Even Baxter has cracked some jokes about it, which I think is awfully big of him.

 

Also, I'm pretty damn secure with my sexual orientation, so I have no problem implying that I could use a reach-around from Baxter lol.

 

Now Hazard, I know you may be unaware of certain social norms or unwritten rules, but just in case you were trying to be funny, and not hateful, I want you to understand why it came off as hateful.

 

If you would have just asked, "Any reason why you need help from a bisexual pirate?" It probably would have been fine. Sure, its not exactly witty or a knee slapper, but I think it would have been accepted without any real concern, because it simply implies that I may be gay or bisexual. No real harm done.

 

However, when you add the "fat and lazy" in front of "bisexual pirate", it implies that you really have some disdain for Baxter and/or his orientation; mainly because they are unnecessary adjectives. It would be like saying "Why did the fucking stupid-ass chicken cross the road? To get to the other side."

 

Outside of letting people know I obviously am not a fan of chickens, the "fucking stupid'ass" adjectives do nothing to enhance the joke. Hence, they are unnecessary.
