Your World Heavyweight Champion does whatever's going to help him win. That's what you all love about me, right?

Jobby pleasei. Save it for Riot 380

I didn't even realize the ME was a handicap match until we got into the lobby xD. I thought it was written on the card because they got to use the freebird rule. All in all i'd say we did pretty well though, even Pugh was orange/red at the end of the match. Tobin didn't realize he was allowed to stop the other team from getting a break up xD
-
I looked back at the match this week to see what you were talking about in that instance and only saw one time where i deliberately backed up to avoid a move. other times i was trying to "reset" and he went for a move and it looked bad. Also, the finisher wasnt a case of me sidestepping or moonwalking like Jay said it was. i went for a clothesline as he went for his wheel kick, we both missed, i recovered, i took advantage. either way, i think it's odd it's so frowned upon. In fights, just in general, people back up. that's why the reach of fighters is so important in matchups and stats.

Also, watch the original masked men scene back (https://www.dropbox.com/s/vh9yxogzq5849t7/Cody%20Storm%20vs%20Tobin%20Frost%20%28T-2%29.wmv). My theme comes on, and I'm celebrating in the ring with the belt. If these people aren't working for me, I'm a moron. Because I should be worried they're about to kick my ass. Your logic sucks!
-
I kind of wish I was on these so I could defend myself xD. Jay specifically complained about things that didn't actually happen. Saying oh he said Tobin didn't deserve a title shot in the first RP and then said he's a role model in the second. I didn't say anything disparaging about Tobin in the first RP, read it again. I really think half of the complaints I've gotten from the last two weeks have been because we're thinking on different wavelengths. It's not that what I'm doing isn't logical, it's that you all either have other ideas you'd like to see more, or you don't have the whole story yet so you don't see the logic. I know I already said this in the Riot thread, but once you know who the masked men are you'll understand why I did things the way I have done them. As for my game ethics, I don't see what you talked about as unethical really. I can understand backwalking some, but I don't really even think about it when I'm doing it. Most of the time it's backing up to give someone room and they try to strike me as I'm trying to space it and it looks like that. Main point I'm trying to make here is that I don't think the issues you raised are very unethical, I don't care when others do them to me, so I don't mind doing it.
-
I've seen some of those angles, I do pay a little attention here and there. But I don't necessarily want to do that. And if you knew who the masked men were, which you don't, that wouldn't make any sense at all anyway. I hope by the end I'll have people's interest, but if not all I can do is try. But I'm going to try it my way, not necessarily how you all tell me you want it done because that's not fun for me.
-
They aren't even close to the end of the story, but if you're not interested you don't need to pay attention. I'm OK with that, and I like how the stories progressing thus far. Plus I'm not controlling them. If you knew who they were it'd make more sense to you I think.

You become World Champion and doors you never knew existed open up. Who knows who these masked men are...

Riot had some great matches on it this week. Jessie vs Love came down to the wire and was exciting to watch. I didn't know who was going to win RK vs Austin. That hiptoss/neckbreaker onto the flaming table was awesome! RK looked great in the match, though I'm not a huge fan of the stunner on him. K.D. decimated Cobra, but in the long run for Cobra I think it'll end up being a good thing. If getting your ass kicked like that doesn't make you want to DM more and get better, nothing will. The OMG summit was funny even though I was never much a fan of the Stooges. I know the kind of scenes Pugh wrote this week are impossible to actually film, but I hope we get some video footage of him soon because I imagine this crazed change results in some visibly noticeable changes and I'd like to see what those are. Bobby fits in with C-4. I really enjoyed the In your Crib segment by Tobin. Tobin's a hard worker, and that's a good thing. Does he work hard enough to topple Your Champion though? It was a solid Riot. I didn't think the writing was quite as good all around as last week, but I thought the matches were better in general.

If you cure cancer and are still seen as a more believable/interesting heel than I am I'll quit forever!

I was actually thinking the same thing about needing to cut down on the amount of championships here. But after talking it over some in a party last night, I changed my mind. I think the problem was legitimate, but now it just appears to be a problem when in fact it's not. Mainly because we just unified two titles, which hasn't taken a real effect yet because we're only two weeks out from having done it. Also, I think everyone is so paired up in their feuds right now that it makes it look like the belts have fewer people to go for them than they really do. I could see Tyga, Bobby, Cut-Throat, Austin, and Drago challenging for the Hardcore/Ex. Guys like RK, KD, Bobby, Trance, Mugen, and Dims challenging for the NA title. And then Tobin, Pugh, Dupree, Suda, Mugen, and Trance in the World. Those are fairly deep challenger pools, but most of the challengers are tied up right now. I'd start putting contendership rewards on some of those feuds (which I feel like the booker already has in mind) and things should run smoothly. The only title that seems completely irrelevant right now is the tag title, but The A-Team has been so dominant and had it for so long I'd hate to take the belts away.

No, I understood it. And I liked the word misplacement and that part of it, but the a/an thing bugs me so much that despite it being a gimmick I still just don't want it at all. It reads like nails on a chalkboard in my head.

If Cut-throat turns out to be Baxter you should be amazed. I'd be in awe and happy that he got so much better at what he does. But I sincerely doubt that's the case.

I really wanted to see Mosity hit the comeback in that match. There's only four people right now that are allowed to have that perk (Mosity, The A-Team, and Tobin) so it would have been something cool to see that we don't usually get. Alas, that didn't happen, but the match was great. I especially liked when Betty Ford was kicking ass in the other team's corner. It looked like great teamwork and it showed that we have terribly spineless refs because he didn't even try to stop it. Tyga and Drago were both very funny this show. Drago needs to check his spelling and learn when to use "a" and when to use "an" cause that bugged the shit out of me. But I like the whole gimmick. Cut Throat is quickly becoming my favorite guy I've never seen in a match. Dupree's first RP was hilarious, and the I loved the LARPing segment. Especially since Suda actually does it so there was more authenticity there then you'd normally expect. Bobby's RP's were good, I highly expected him to join C4 at some point and this was a good way to bring him in. I guess it's a three man revolution now. Dimsmore looked like he forgot how to play the game over here. You trying to challenge yourself by going for triple red or something? Honestly, if you were fighting me I'd have felt almost disrespected by it. I really like the Lex-Tobin dynamic. I think as Tobin gives in more and more to his inner demons he's going to need someone to reign him in a little bit. Though I'm not totally sure that's what Lex has in mind. When I asked Kent the other day how Riot was looking and he told me just about every active person dropped two RP's for the show I didn't really believe him, but he wasn't embellishing. It was a great Riot I thought, so good job everyone.

I'm not trying to argue with you all about how to run OCW. In fact, on that I was conceding, I said take the shot back. Move me down the card, whatever. You're right, in this instance majority rules. I'm speaking generally about efeds I think the competition has to be there to make the stories compelling. If everything builds to one final moment, and that one final moment is a let down, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. As far as making the belt interesting, there are people who can go up against me and make it a good match. It's happened plenty of times before. It's not like I squash everyone I face. And those are the people I'd personally want to work with. Find one of them and build a story from there. So I can't answer the question yet, because I don't know exactly what I'd do at this moment in time, and I'm not going to focus on figuring that out because that's diverting my attention away from winning the belt in the first place which is counter productive. Also, if you'll recall this whole thing started when I said 3 matches on this show were the same fighters in different stipulations. 2/3 had the exact same ending. That's what's boring. You can go on losing every match from here to the rest of time Bobby, if you're fighting someone different I don't know you're going to lose before hand everytime. But you got squashed, won a fluke title match, and then got squashed again. And because of that, despite thinking your RP's were good, I couldn't buy into them and that's what made the story lackluster to me.
-
I love how just because everyone is of a similar opinion you assume you're right and that I've been verbally decimated or something. I'm still thoroughly convinced that I'm right, I've just realized there's no point in arguing with a majority like this. That and I had to go to class so I didn't the last three pages or so here until just a few moments ago.
-
I don't think the match should take place. If Pugh's right and no one's going to want to work with me if I win the title then it could kill the World Title and that should never be the case. I honestly didn't realize that people didn't want to work with me, I thought everyone was just booked in other angles. Now I could very well lose and none of this could even matter, but that shouldn't really be a game played with a world championship
-
If that's how everyone feels about the situation then please change the Riot card. I'm not looking to kill interest in the Main Events or anything of that nature. I'd rather the community go about what they want to see and if that means less of me that's fine, I'll find something else to do or I'll do nothing and focus more on my life outside of OCW.
-
I still just don't understand how a story can be captivating for you if you know the outcome so early in the feud. If the story didn't revolve around who's going to win or lose at the PPV it wouldn't matter that much, but for a feud such as "for all the gold" everything goes into hyping this PPV match and then the match is a given. It's like knowing the end of a movie before you're even a quarter of the way through, it's not entertaining to me personally.
-
But that's not a fair parallel. His in ring work doesn't dictate whether he wins or not, it's scripted which means it's still interesting. I didn't know if The Shield or The Wyatts were going to win so it was interesting. I know you're going to lose to Suda 9.9/10 times so it's not interesting. It's more akin to this year's superbowl where everyone was like, "it's the #1 offense vs the #1 defense, it's going to be awesome!" Everyone talked a great game, and then the game was a major letdown. And let us be clear here, no one should be begging for title shots unless they've earned them and have been kicking ass.
-
I won't argue with you the quality of my Role playing, I think some of it's decent. You don't, and that's O.K. Also, I like your role playing and stories, I just wish that you wouldn't run such long ones if the matches are such foregone conclusions. That's just my opinion.
-
I'm a terrible fiction writer, I know that much. But as far as writing in general I can write. And I don't think my points so illogical, I think it makes perfect sense. There's no suspense in your story because your outmatched in the ring. It's like walking up to a crossroads but one side is actually closed off. And you actually spoke to my point right there. Maybe in a few years you will be good, but your not now, so you shouldn't be in the spot you're in fighting against someone I'd put in my top 3 on the sticks here. If Suda didn't have football he'd be a multi-time world champion and you're not on that level. Also, I agree Suda in that some seeds were planted that should be exciting to follow. I didn't expressly say anything about it, but I'm excited to see what becomes of Matsuda vs Dupree because I think you two are evenly matched in the ring and can put together a good story.
-
Your stories don't mean a thing if I know Suda's going to whoop your ass the second you touch a mic. And at least I put content on the show.
