  1. That's what we all think when we see your name on a card. And hold the fuck up here. Wasn't Seth vs Smythe a contendership match for the NA Title, which Seth won? If so then why is smythe in the title match? I also don't get why Valmont has the NA Title shot. If you're going to try and push someone to superstardom you need to at least stick to your guns. By dropping him down to an upper-midcard title you're effectively admitting that everyone who criticized his move to main event were right.
  2. I see them either taunting Sensation with these 'tributes' or totally denying that he's alive. Either way it sounds like only one show before the New Year which is silly in my opinion, get at least two in. This week could have had a show, as could next week if it was made on Monday or Tuesday.
  3. I'm protesting the durability banning that's where. :)
  4. Riot Review
  5. So far I've seen: Hazard chino rolls out of moves. Hazard does a ground grapple followed by ground strike. Hazard tylers and doesn't back off. Hazard gets up and goes right for an attack on Judas who hasn't had time to back away. Hazard tylers again without backing up. Still watching though.
  6. Aries gets fired from being a wrestler and moves to commentating. Al Poling gets fired from commentating...will he be moving to wrestling?
  7. *Logs on to OCW.* YAY nine post of...of...of ABSOLUTE USELESS SHITE! Take it somewhere else!
  8. You have the making of a FANTASTIC storyline here. As long as you continue to build the power trip of Alex and Leon for a good two months at least. If this lasts like two weeks before they get beaten then it counts as fail.
  9. Aries is our Mr Kennedy. I bet Smythe bitched backstage about a botched move :p
  10. I'm speaking on the assumption that the match was done at very short notice which can often be the case with europeans vs americans. However, if this match was done in plenty of time and nobody made it known to FPR Police that there was in issue then it's their own fault. If it was short notice they should have submitted it to prove they had done the match but still alerted FPR Police so maybe it'd get a scan before it got posted. Just so they didn't get nailed with a no-show.
  11. Well if there is then nobody is talking about them. And your idea is a fair one. But if they did that then we'd have six matches. And as I've said before it's kinda hard to watch a whole show through. They're long and if a match just doesn't work then it bores you and it kinda takes out of the momentum of the show. This comes back to the point of possibly having two shows.
  12. People have gotten MUCH larger favours in the past than what KD's asking for. Personally I think whenever a match ends in a shitty fashion there should be a rematch, immediately. We can't pride ourselves on being a "fair" society where crappy game mechanics can't be exploited if, when something crappy like this happens, we say TS. Just out of interest what's with the Hazard push anyway? He's been on every single card. No offence to the guy but when people like Trance are putting in big RPs and getting jack why does Hazard get on every card?
  13. Seth = Darth You = Other Guy
  14. My point is that both shows have to be open to every level. We CAN'T have a 'low card' show because it was tried before and it failed horribly. What I would urge is that we have a general manager who is an actual character already. I HATE: "And here's your new general manager, COOKIE CUT 101"
  15. See I disagree with that. I think two shows of equal quality are what's needed. If you have an A show and a B show, everyone watches the A show and nobody cares about the B show. I'd say two equal shows. With 3 matchjes each. Main Event Match Midcard Match Low Card Match And it'd be up to booking to keep them fresh. E.g. If it's Hazard vs KD on Riot then on the other show it'd be Brandon Hostile vs Carlos Cruz. Purely for the sake of an example. But you need main event presance on both shows to keep interest.
  16. Just want to flag up a point I made at the end of my review. What did everyone think of the potential for two shows with three matches each? I don't know if anyone else feels this but I felt that watching five whole matches was quite daunting and I was watching some matches wanting them to hurry up and end.
  17. Alright. Working my way up the card here. 1. Hazard vs Judas Hallows - I need to go with Judas here. He beat WAP last week and looked good throughout. I see him taking this one. Especially since Hazard's less than impressive 'win' over KD last week. 2. Bradon Hostile vs Carlos Cruz - Don't know much about Brandon but I need to go with Carlos here, the typical view of "the new guy has to suck" is going to be my reasoning. :) 3. Seth vs Le'Tuce - I see Seth winning this one. He's 2-0 in the new season and last week should have had a dominant win. But then again he also showed a lack of ability to finish the match last week so if Le'Tuce can somehow survive a few scares MAYBE he has a chance? 4. Chris Ryder vs Vincent Valmont - Tough call. I'm going to go with Valmont, purely because I see the heavyweight factor coming in to play. But Ryder will push him right to the wire. 5. Mr Bentley vs Leonheart. I'm not even going to call this. This isn't happening. It'll, at the very least, be a worked ending. I'm going to go out on a limb here and call the RPs segments as which. Obviously much more difficult. Alex Robinson has an announcement which will take drastic measures, what does she have in store? - It's hard to call what's going on in the mind of a transexual but if I had to I'd assume she's going to do something which revolves around trying to ban Sensation again, like hiring security or something along those lines. Another piece of the puzzle around the North American Title is revealed - I assume it'll be the announcement of a contenders match to determine who's going to take on Seth for the title. Leon refuses to be upstaged and will have a message for the new Television Champion - Wonder what old Leon will have to say to me? Nah I'm just kidding. I'm going to assume it's something about either serving him and Alex if you win it or he'll go all out and just appoint himself TV Champion. Mr Sensation is headed to Riot and Stacy Clark promises to find the scoop - I could see this being a positive week for Leon and Alex so I'll make the prediction that Sensation won't even make it to this interview.
  18. Well Wesley, when you see it, call it. It's the only way to get it changed. And It used to be Bionic Punches back when Bubba Ray used them. Forgive me if THQ decided to change it.
  19. I want to pick one thing up here on the booking side of things. KD jobbed out to Trance and got a match while Trance isn't booked. WAP jobbed to Ryder and got a match while Ryder isn't booked. I dunno if Ryder or Trance asked not to be booked or something and I'm not saying that you're not allowed to book people who lose but I just thought I'd note it.
  20. Hold B you morons.
  21. I see. It wouldn't have been as bad if you were both walking normally. I was just annoyed at watching Night Of The Living Dead rather than OCW Riot.
  22. Alright thanks for clearing that up Aries. I wondered how long it would take someone to pull that one out, Seth. But you get a pass cause your sig is epic. EDIT - I marked to give Sensation the 1k.
  23. Riot Review - Click Me! Audio: For all you fucks that can't be bothered reading. Warning: Spoilers!
  24. Review posted. And I assume I'm purple again because I don't want to compete without my durability perk as I see the banning of it as totally pointless. But for the love of god please don't make this topic about that.
  25. Just to throw this out here about the Hazard match before I go on to actually talk about the show, which COD has been preventing me doing for some days now. In the first match Hazard toe kicked into his sig and his finisher. Rematch is definetly called for. I'm not sure exactly the ins and outs of it all being discussed but all I know is that a redo happened. During the match I used Stacy Clark to watch for any FPR infringes during the match. I will say that, personally, I didn't like the way Iceberg did the corner sig to Hazard. It was VERY fast and the punch before it was fucking gay, you wouldn't punch in corner then grapples, so why punch then sig? But since I was on the phone to Iceberg during this I was able to tell him not to go for anything afterward and considering that Hazard was already limping about, I don't feel it changed the direction of the match. Just my two pence on it as someone who witnessed it first hand. Going to re-look at the show just now, get some specifics down then write that negative report you've all been dying for. :) Nega-Trips Colour Code: Red - Me not like. If the text is red I have pains in my head Blue - Me not really have much of an opinion. If it's blue, I don't hate you. Green - I like something! If it's green I'm not being mean. We open up this show with a nice bit of discussion between the comentators. Always liked this as a way to start the show and I kinda felt in recent months it had been falling in quality. It's good to have a real run through of the matches that will take place and to give a bit of history on the matches for anyone who hasn't been paying attention. Great to see RD Money back. Negative points for not using What You Know by T.I. Decent intro to the show from Mr Money, not really giving anything away as of yet, decent suspense builder if nothing else. More commentator stuff, giving us that full run through I talked about earlier on. Nice stuff, nice stuff. Hazard vs Iceberg was what it was. It was a decent opener, nothing extra special but nothing too horrible either. The time it took was probably about right for a PPV opener, not dragging on or anything to any great extent. Iceberg gets green here (not because he's a lettuce) for using The Girls by Calvin Harris as his entrance theme as I've been suggesting all along. Hazard gets a bit of red because as much as he's trying to convince us otherwise, he's The Miz. Chris Ryder has great music. He has a good looking attire. He has a good looking caw. For using the story editor when a basic text RP would have done I'm calling it meh. I don't HATE the fact you did this but I' not fond of it either. Mainly you've got to think of people with older PCs and/or slow connections, more videos decreases the watchability for those people. Whenever I'm at Iceberg's and we try to watch a show on his laptop it cases me to pull my hair out. As for the content of this RP, you cut to the crowd at the right moments and there's a good lot of different crowd shots in there rather than just the same generic sweeping shot. What you said was much like RD's promo in the sense that it didn't really tell me anything, it was a general statement, which I believe it was meant to be. It filled its purpose as a set up for what comes next. By giving it a 'meh' rating I'm not marking it down, it's just that with this type of RP it'll take something REALLY special to make me mark. KD looks much like the last game and it pleases me that he's resisted temptation to throw all sorts of whacky new shit on his guy. I personally prefer KD with Godsmack. I like Trance's attire, the jacket especially. Trance's music I'm not overly keen on although it's not horrible per say. As Trance said himself, the german suplex making KD fly was silly lookin'. Laughed when Trance went out the ring till KD followed then Trance slid back in the ring again, although he failed at the jump and screwed up a potentially good spot. Trance whipping KD only for KD to come back with an STO seemed like a really good CRUSH moment from the big heavyweight on the little guy who's building momentum. The low dropkick in the corner followed up by the turnbuckle nut shot was awesome. Trance's sig is the perfect set-up for his finisher and the taunt on the top rope was a nice finisher, the desperation animation on his pin is awesome also. In this case he wasn't really in much desperation but if he's in a really close match I think that animation will add a really nice realistic feel to it. On the FPR front both guys played a totally solid game and their movesets were great. I particularly like how KD has a perfect balance between crash/bang/wollop kinda moves and the big SLAM type moves, also like how he's able to do these big slam type moves without picking cheap/silly moves. More to come when you soak that up. Just a quick point here, if you hit that markout button you had BETTER post a response to my points to go along with it.
