First match has already been touched on by some people so I'll just add that there was a few FTW moments I noticed. One was the Death Row double team move where one of them springboarded off the rope on to take out the guy on his partner's shoulder's with a seated splash type thing, that was a WTF in my eyes. Also the Death Row guy using the hardcore perk thing to get rid of damage, what the hell man?
Second match was nice. Two rookies showing us there is hope for the future and that some rookies can grasp what FPR is and how to apply it ethically. Steve takes the record for most finishers hit while jobbing though. I actually expected someone to return and help Steve here but hey what do you know, he has no friends.
Third match was what it was, tag match that we'd already seen before. No disrespect to the guys involved, they worked to build it up and everything it's just that I wasn't as excited about it as I was the other matches. The aftermath was markable though, I've never marked for Heaton before but there's a first time for everything I guess.
Valmont vs Parker was a good match, use of hardcore objects was nice but I can't say I'm marking for paintless marker. The after match thing was a real downer for me. You spent months building up the title and making it respectable now you've just thrown it back in the trash again, not cool.
EX gauntlet now. Jesus Ed Reed you were a machine! You almost did a Val Finale but not quite jewish enough to get the job done and Richard Blood comes in at the end and steals it, damn English theif. Anti-marked when Air was eliminated though, I was rooting for him.
Kang and Double A wasn't a bad match. The extensive use of Double A's knee to the gut stun was a little bad but it didn't take away from the match too much I don't think. Respect to the reversal machine Kang James though, you're like a Nate who can just never pull out the win when it's all said and done.
Match of the night now. The Television Championship Match. Four corners of wood, Michael Morrison's own match. Two guys who wanted this win so badly. Morrison had never beaten my and I had never won at Lution, contrasting to this he had never lost. Good start by myself showing my true skill, after a while I start to let him get a bit of offense and if memory serves me right I reverse one of his attempts to put me through the first table and try to droptoe hold him through one but the table is super sturdy. In the end I take it and my first Lution win, still Television Champion of CCW like I said I would be.
In the Future Investment match congrats have to go to Leon but the match itself was all that could be expected from a 4 way ladder to be honest, not an ideal match but always a fun one which keeps you on your toes, not a log of potential finishers really but none the less fun to watch. The return after it was also mark worthy.
The Bold vs Cross match was an inventive idea and they executed it as well as they could but the game doesn't really allow it to work properly. You could sense it would end stupidly because of the ULTRA-WEAK cell roofing and I'm sure the guys felt it did end a little stupidly by the soundtrack we got when Bold was ending it. Hope you can go on from here Adrian and solidify that title.
NOTE: Both midcard champions retained their belts at Lution.
Nate Ortiz vs Nick Kage. Let me just take this time to actually appluad in real life. *Claps* Bra-fucking-vo gentlemen what a match. Glued to it the whole time, not a dull moment in the thing. You didn't just have a great match you told the story, normally people just have a match with a lot of reversing and such and it ends up a wrestling classic but you don't feel the hate, in this one I felt the HATE. Great use of the outside environment and amazing countering by Nick. I thought nick was going to take it when he reversed the Ortiz Express with his finisher flashing but it just ran out before he could get it in. Eventually the STFNate pulls Nate through and we see once again why you DO NOT beat Nate on a Pay Per View. Class act.
OCW Championship going on the line now in our first main event of the evening. Loved the prematch RP with Casey being removed from the arena, although I do sense the guard was scared to run out of stamina when he was walking up the ramp with her. The match itself was everything I expected and more. Once again telling a story of hatred and using the ring as well as other objects to show this. Clearly both men deserved to be here and eventually the Dork with his blonde hair pulls through and is once again our champion. All hail dork.
CCW Championship on the line in what could only be described as the most start-studded match I can remember for a while. Versus: No stranger to the CCW Title neither is Seth and RD is the current champion. Mania is the darkhorse in this one in my eyes as he has never held a major title and is RD's faction mate so you sense he will try to support RD to a retainment but with that NA Title run he had who can doubt him? Marked out for Versus' entrance and his T-shirt, great stuff. One of the best, if not thee best, four ways I've seen. Clusterfuck it was not, take note TX monkeys. Skill was on show here and all guys could have walked away with the title but in the end who seen it coming? Not me. RD Money stands tall when it's all said and done, Lution record still preserved and CCW Title around his waist. Loses markas for being Sensation's bitch though.
NOTE: Both CCW Champions retained their belts.
Great Lution tonight and effort put in was HUGE, not just in matches but RPs as well. I didn't mention them in my little section above but everyone put a lot of effort in. Big props to people who helped me put together the skybox promos and thanks to Jaysin for piecing them together again, he complains but eh really loves them. Rev Inc RP as well taken from LOTR speach that we see in Nate's entrance. Everything, I know I've missed out a few things such as the Leon/Kang RP, oops wait there it is, but I really can't fit everything in. AMAZING SHOW GUYS AND ALL THE BEST FOR THE YEAR AHEAD.
NOTE: Tough luck Morrison.
