He's saying there is pretty much no sub for him to use

SWO intro was great, i know it took a lot of work from a number of people to bring that together. Major props to Majin as he was the mastermind. Opener, Strike 1???? Steve almost pulling a Cena and overcoming the odds. Nice way to start their first Lution for Poe and Vin. Like Kang's suit, and AA's intro is always good. On the stuns I can say atleast you were using them as a set up move. VV and Parker put on another close match. I liked a lot of the spots in this one. But wasn't a fan of the stun, toe kick, punch, toe kick into finisher at the end. Deano seamed off in that tag match. Just didn't play like I know he can. Even with that it was still a nice match up. Can't say I didn't like who won. AJ's return into was great. :( Sorry Malu had to ruin it. On the gauntlet i'll say Blood is a jerk. MMM let me down. But I expected Trips to walk away with the W. I thought the post match rps were great. The FI match was sweet I liked when I think it was brad and leon did the double dropkick to knock smythe off the FI clause. Didn't really matter who won this one for me as I know all would have done well. But like always someone wins a match that most don't want them to, and Leon pulls it out. congrats. The NA match was cool. I liked that it wasn't a normal HIAC. Bold no selling the fall of the cell was a nice thought but its like WTF when Kage, Mayhem, myself all sold that for atleast 3 weeks. And the move that put Cross through the cell made me sad but hey can't be perfect when your trying to get the W as well as putting on a show. Nice work on the feud folks and hopefully you guys continue on with new people in the coming weeks. Nate vs Kage was fun to play. Majin and Guy was ok, liked the intros. Thought the match probly could ended after Majin was put through the table though. CCW title match reminded me of a tornado tag since it was pretty much two teams fighting eachother. For a 4way i didn't see a lot of the ethics issues that are common, but thats probly because of the men involved. Liked the finish with RD taking out Mania after they both hit finishers for to pick up the win. Smythes vid was nice as well. Many returns and good rps as well. Congrats to everyone.

Eating Crow, Sad Face, The Future, and Whores.
Nate Ortiz replied to Nick Kage's topic in Player News
The issue isn't using strikes to stun people, just like a stun grapple it is somthing you have to do when your opponent backs away from you all the time. It's that or back them into a corner where they can't back away. That is not the issue. Using 1 quick grapple to set up your strong grapples isn't bad that equals someone doing like 2-3 strikes to set up a grapple. Again isn't somthing you do throw timing off and is needed when people back away. The issue is using one thing be it quick grabs or irish whips into the corner all match to win. Not even trying to strong grapple. People say it's to easy, but it goes both ways right. Constantly spamming quick grabs + whips/cornermoves or/with ground grapples is just as bad as someone spending an entire match doing running attacks. It's just ethics. -
Eating Crow, Sad Face, The Future, and Whores.
Nate Ortiz replied to Nick Kage's topic in Player News
I don't play this game all the time, I play show matches thats about it. If i'm on its usually to edit a caw or record rp stuff. This issue isn't a skill issue it is an ethical issue. -
This weeks show was meh, I saw some things I liked, (Ex: MMM/Trips RP), and a lot of bad ethics this week. HC match I saw Pee Stee use 3 straight attacks with the chair at one point. Chair shot, gets up chair shot, gets up Chair show. I know the head was already read but its like would this have been done if his head wouldn't have been red? With damamge from weapons as high as it is its almost like flatlining. Didn't like the playstyle of Cross especially because Majin isn't tech so it's not neccesary to go with quick grabs and irish whips for an entire match. But it is becoming a norm almost. On the whole quick grapple thing I am guilty of using the stun grapples a lot in there cases which are also more and more common. People who back away the whole match and try to make me miss my attack before they come at me. I use the stun like a punch combo only one to set up a grapple. I usually don't do any punches to go along with the stun. The other case which i man seeing more and more is people not waiting to reverse. I'll strike you and instead of you waiting for me to attempt a strong grapple I am met with a quick grab or strike on my delay. It's like the person is forcing me to attack right after my strike so they can pretty much reverse everytime and no be able to switch my timing. Quick grabs help with that as well. The spinning chop is also for that. If more people didn't do those things it could help the problem some. People need to remember reversing is as easy as ever if you get your strong grapples reverse you have a better chance to reverse the other guys. Even in grapple it's easier than ever. It all comes back to ethics.

confirmed and you will put me over.

Getting yourself DQ'ed on purpose is against FPR. If your going to do it make sure the match is a work.

probly got submitted via megaupload.

My impression of the "cross-brand division" stuff was that you stick to your show unless you are booked in a ex division/ tag division/ hardcore title match. Or if your feud/storyline called for it. You wouldn't see TBDTTP on Turmoil if they weren't involved in somthing with a member of the CCW roster or were booked in a tag match with a established tag team.
-
remember Death Row is on the OCW roster so yea they could probly be booked on Riot a tad more.

Aries doesn't rolls cause he's not a highflyer...

While I wouldn't call the HC title more prestigious than the NA title. In recent months the HC title has been more credible. Just because Parker has been defending the thing sucessfully each weak. But that is why some guys have been saying they hope Bold can do somthing with the NA title and bring it back to where Spoon got the thing. Leon tried but just couldn't hold on to the thing long enough to do much. I have enjoyed what you guys are doing and am looking forward to what you guys can do for the NA title. If anyone is expecting Ambition to be on par with Riot or Turmoil they are going to be disappointed. Remember week in and week out the rps on those shows for the most part come from the upper tier guys. And they aren't on this show. If people like Strider who is a dual champion isn't getting book consitantly, what can you expect for the regulars on this show, if they didn't have it. I don't expect our version of Heat to be on par with our versions of Raw and Smackdown. One could argue that some of the stuff your saying is just because your involved in a NA title feud and your buddies with the guys in Death Row. Nothing wrong with that, its understandable, just saying...

kage doesn't use the pin version
-
its a fury punch

I know you were on of those that did it a lot in 07 and havn't seen you doing it much this year, but there are people who do still use it as their main tactic.
-
like everything using it in moderation is alright when it comes to stuff like strike strike stun strike stun stun mabey even a whip strong grapple. but if it is the only thing your doing it is a problem (add up the damage and you can see its a problem if its all thats being done). IMO the constant backing away is just as bad.
-
wouldn't be as many missed grapples if most people didn't play the back away game. but thats a whole nother thing.
-
As far as chaines for me go i try to keep it to 1-3 strikes and a graple or 1 stun and grapple. Doing that IMO is fine cause it gives you a chance to throw off your opponents timing. But if its consistantly strike strike, quick grab, strike quick grab grapple, there is a problem ethically. Had this problem when people were chaining the quick grabs to hell in 07. Even if things are reversable ethics can still come into play. Ground grapples are reversable but if someone is going for them after every single move there is a problem with their ethics. Didn't really see a issue with the chaining in this one, although it seems that Versus got front loaded with body moves. But i'll assume that was not on purpose. I don't think it was.

The scene opens to the March 13, 2008 edition of OCW Riot. The show has just gone off air as Nate Ortiz lay motionless on the floor after the devastating powerbomb off the cell by Kage. Kage has descended from the Kage and as he walks to the back a stunned Versus makes his way to ring side. Kage and Versus stare at each other for what seems to be an eternity though only a second before Versus makes his way to Nate’s side. Kage smiles as emergency personnel run past him as he heads through the curtain to the backstage area. Versus: Get down here now! Versus yells for the emergency personnel who hastily make it to Nate’s side. The EMT’s check Nate’s vitals which seem to be fine but he still lay motionless. Slowly the EMT’s place Nate in a neck stabilizer and a stiff board before putting him on a stretcher. Versus walks with the EMT’s at they head up the entranceway with Nate. The crowd begins to cheer for Nate hoping that he will show some sign of life. But the cheers die as Nate does not move as the stretcher goes through the curtain to the backstage area. The scene cuts to March 16, 2008 at UCLA Medical Center in an examination room. A heavily sedated Nate Ortiz sits with his wife Tiffany and Versus as his doctor begins to read his wife his prognosis. Doctor: Mr. Ortiz suffered no broken bones from the fall he took last week. He suffered some bruises but nothing that will require any further treatment. But he did suffer yet another concussion. This time of the grade II variety. Now the last time you were here he had suffered from a grade III and that was back in August. In 2006 he also suffered from a grade II concussion. Now he has been fortunate not to have suffered from any of the effects of post-concussion syndrome up to this point, but with 3 very severe concussions in such a short period, this time it might be different. Tiffany shakes here head as she grips Nate’s hand. Versus just looks on unsure of what to think of what he has just heard. Doctor: Symptoms may include headaches, dizziness, fatigue, anxiety, memory and attention problems, sleep problems, and irritability. And the cumulative effects of these concussions could be devastating. Cumulative effects may include psychiatric disorders and loss of long-term memory. For example, the risk of developing clinical depression has been found to be significantly greater for retired football players with a history of three or more concussions than for those with no concussion history. Three or more concussions is also associated with a five-fold greater chance of developing Alzheimer's disease earlier and a three-fold greater chance of developing memory deficits. Nate stirs a little and speaks. Nate: Wrestlution… Tiffany, Versus and the doctor turn to Nate with surprised looks on their faces. Doctor: The recovery time for something like this with your past history is a month at the least. I see no way that you can be physically stable by April 6. Tiffany: I don’t want you risking your future for this. Versus just looks. Nate: Wrestlution… Doctor: Unless your condition improves dramatically I will not be able to clear you to wrestle. There is a moment of silence as Nate closes his eyes. The Doctor rises from his seat along with Tiffany. The two begin to walk out of the room but Versus stays behind. Versus: I’ll be there in a minute Tiffany. Tiffany and the doctor talk in the hallway as Versus stands by Nate’s hospital bed. Versus: Hammer? Nate: Wrestlution… Versus smiles. Nate slowly raises his hand. Versus extends his hand and the two shake hands as the scene fades.

QFT... From this match and the HC match you can see where some people say the strong grapple really isn't relied on as much. Not from all participents but you can see. That rolling at the end looked like rolling to get out of the way and not accidently to reverse the attacks.

After watching this show I still hate the Hardcore Regin. Guy has scarred me for life yet again.
-
That will be a nice little dream you can have as you lay knocked out in the center of the ring. If I feel like it I may just grab a bottle of 151 and do what I should have done in 06 to you.
-
We will see about that on April 6. I'll out play and beat you sir.
