A lot had been said already, but I'll give my brief thoughts. I enjoyed the opener, especially the way it ended. Shell division has come a long way. Wish Robinson looked older, but I suppose the milf thing is okay! If alex hadn't broken up the best tag team ever of Madison and Alex, she woulda had back up against holly……….
Did I mention the only person in ocw to beat holly is Madison Cox?
Prince was a good sport about the match. Lawrence is a product of me being drunk, much like most of my ppv entrances. I'll say not to read too much into the outcome or health at the end, prince is solid And was caught off guard by Lawrence’s appearance. Keep truckin; prince.
Drago having a sister makes me want to retire Madison from active comp.
Happy to see the Turmoil tag get on the ppv. Coulda did without the hyper fighting. I can watch a 30 min ocw match easily, but that's not everyone so I understood why it was done. B17 and Lee have a good thing and show why cross brand tag belts are a good thing. When cactus finally goes over on the cancer duo it will be glorious.
Seeing nate and rd shake hands before the main event is no bueno!
Glad the skwad father made it on the pay per view. Move over mugen, Parker ties you for best entrance
It was weird not having mugen or drago competing.
Lightheavy went as expected. I think I was the only one in the viewing party that saw the writing on the wall. One does not simply go ham at Pugh and walk away the victor. Mind you, this is a guy that kicked out of 4 finishers in our match at Devil’s night. Two of them being back to back. NO2 put on a good match. As the king of the more athletic style of ocw, I was pleased with his outing. He might be ready for me in two seasons, so long as he brings the lightweight title with him since the current placeholder will not. The yellow streak starting at his back travels from England and reaches the Black Cox estate in New York.
Second women's match of night, and In my opinion, the best women's match of the night. The White Queen of the Black King achieved her mission. To lift the hopes of Betty Ford fans in the viewing party and around the world before crushing those dreams (and possibly her spine in the process). Looking forward to continuing this, as I believe this feud has some legs to it.
I'm disappointed more Turmoil guys didn't RP even though not booked, you know who you are.
Ding and butcher went at it. I heard a lot of ‘holy shit’ from both of them while this was going on, so I knew it would be good. Ding and butcher always have good Matches. A classic in the 2016 S CUP, koocw tournament where the ring broke and eliminated them Both, and now this. Ding and butcher have both stepped up their game from last season, and are threats to the Turmoil roster.
Got what we expected and more from
Dims and Jackson, not a technical or pretty move to be found here. This was a brawl. With the way they feuded up until this, this is how the match should have gone. Hoping for a rematch at lution. We got the world champion version of Jackson back.
Women's title. Alex was all over soph, but the trumpets started which leads to SophCena channeling her Power of being the secret daughter of Ortiz and Casey Paine….which leads to a comeback.
On to the main event. Two very different kind of matches. Though the bad guy in this story, Leon put on a show. This is the first time I've ever seen someone play a perfect match and still come up short. Nate walks away with the gold and Leon is carried away by a monk.
As for me; can't really comment on my main’s matches. But I wouldn't put out a product I wasn't confident in. I didn't play as well as I would have liked, and this match only reinforced that I need to play on ps4 more. As for the match, he surprised everyone, including me. This is one of those matches where online managers would be great. To see Madison losing her mind. I thought his entrance was iconic, with the money falling over the audience before the match. For me, RD stole the show. It also says a lot about that Hall of fame class.
While some may have not liked a HOF coming back for a title match, rd and Madison have been feuding on the boards since CG2016. A gentleman’s agreement was made back in September that whether I was champ or not, the match was happening at cg2017. So I'm appreciative of him doing his part to make this feud what it was. This also was not a one time thing, and tells me he will do more matches on Turmoil on a part time schedule. I'd advise new people to take the opportunity when he's around.
I've embraced Doug never getting his moment of happiness. A running joke dating back to summercide. Coincidently, with the very same finisher being performed by Matsuda to DB during the two biggest moments of his career. Winning the world title at cide, and his year mark as TV champion at CG. (I know, I'm a lore master!). I think it makes sense that they fight at Lution. Might even be the one and only time they wrestle, so I'm looking forward to it.
So yea, I'm ultra thankful to RD and Matsuda. We got this done Sunday morning without jay sweating bullets. Kudos to him for not being all “wtf is the match?!”
Shout out to baker for playing RD’s son, I hope you continue to compete on Turmoil.
Apologies if things were missed, I'm sleepy. Good show everyone. Not sure if or how r2g will top this.
Meaning we will.
