  1. Doh,that makes sense. My apology's. You can turn those notifications off ya know:p
  2. Match Review Time Mez Murdoch vs Bryan Lee Havent seen these 2 yet so let's see what they bring to the table. Mez Murdoch intro starts with a 1 min and a half clip of people beating the shit out of eachother, entertaining but it went a bit to long for my taste and in the end i didnt see his guy come to the ring at all rofl. Bryan lee interesting caw, i dunno if J-Zay was his intro since it continued to the match. so ill leave that aside. This match was pretty one sides but the dominating guy didnt win. I like Murdoch's inring style and selection of moves, really displaying a Technical/Powerhouse style,i really dig it. Murdoch going outside and hitting his fin/sig as Bryan approaches looked great aslo. Marking out for this guy . Bryan didnt have much chance to display many offensense and few offensive moves he got in confused me a bit. Looking at Bryan Lee when the match started, i tough he was going to be a Technical/brawler type, him not being much smaller in size then Murdoch. My word and opininion are not gospel but Kicks and Hurricurana's look very weird on Lee. In the end Bryan picks up the upset. Nice match --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lucas Crowe vs Tiberius Dupree Very pacifying theme song for Mr Crowe, alright caw. Dupree, catchy music, got a better look at the guy then last Riot. Really having an all american like wrestling vibe to it, i like it. Match was good, nothing stood out in particular. Just a little side note to Dupree. I dig it that you picked the Christo and the Corner Christo as it were, altough these moves are usually moves for very small wrestlers like Dragon Kid, Tajiri due to the agility required it suits you well. However it makes your finisher look out of place, the rock bottem . Like i said, just take it with a grain of salt, little things like that probably only i bother with :p --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Before the next match, while watching a promo...i dunno who willie killigan is, but by the fact that he invites 12 times in a span of 4 min of promo im going to assume he's a total spaz, promo ruined -_- Dug the Leon vs ??? vid aswell Liked the Tag match but not gonna review it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dane Xavier vs K.Dangelo K.D has a pretty big caw,it doesnt look out of place so kudo's for that, good theme. This match was pretty long, i watched the first 12 min then skipped to the end . Both guys look good in ring but Dane's moveset just looks unrealisitic against K.D against normal guys it would do fine ofcourse. Not a complaint or anything just something i noticed while watching. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jookie Marley vs David Jackson vs Hideto Matsuda Marley, looks good, fitting theme. DJ comes out in his Black Power Ranger variant,im not hating it really, no idea how someone like DJack cames up with this caw really 0_o Altough 3 pyro's in one entrance ? Hideto matsude, definition of epic entrance right there. Mark out, awesome just awesome 3 ways being the hassle that are a hassle to play and to watch,i needed to fill my glass for this one,but the little edits in the match were very entertaining and worth it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hazard vs Brandon Hostile The battle between who has the most flashy attire begins. And its long one. With gimmick matches and multiplayer matches i find it very hard to keep watching because of the lenght,so after again a certain time i skipped to the end. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lucas Crowe vs Dupree I'm having a deja vu, it is only know that i noticed the little "BEST OF 5" above the video. AAh that makes sense. Great match, mark out moment where Dupree goes for a dive move and Crowe uses the ring out ability to dodge, taunting him the process. I like subtle stuff like that. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aries vs Patolomai Enjoyable match. I liked how Aries was trying to work the leg, using the legkicks. In comparrison to the others this match was short but probably had its purpose to fullfill with the promo's that came after it. Overall : Enjoyed the PPV, some really creative stuff went on inside the match, cutscenes etc. It will be awhile before i get on track with the storys that have been going on due to not being around for a while but ill get there. And damm you Dupree tell me the name of your theme song,i heard it only twice and its catchy as hell and stuck in my head!
  3. Dane all you have to do basicly do some strike,do some ground grapple and let people up from time to time. The game actually helps you in this regard, aslong as no part is injured, after every move you will automaticly come back up. So especially during the first min or 2,depending on how good the match is, you shouldnt even have to pick anybody up. I may have over reacted a bit i was just pretty "suprised" lets say finding that someone plays like this and is in OCW,unless some standerds have changed in the period that i left. And like my review says, ill write down my first impression and your first impression on me left me dissappointed after i just praised the hell out of your entrance and caw in general. Also something i noticed. Hazard and Djack do have predetermine hatred aimed towards them. Mostly deserved when i was still around but i forgot it when i watched these matches, but im gonna be honest here "except " for the random sig and finisher hitting, wich is more something that i dont like as a wrestling roleplaying geek first class, i really didnt see them abuse or do stuff that would or could piss anyone off really, other then them having the pre-existing hatred. Wich sets people going into the match wrongly.Sure Hazards moveset is a little to flash for comfort, but its not like the charachter cant perform the move, what was more the case of djack in the past also. The caws were pulling of shit that they couldnt do or compleetly did not compliment eachother. Atleast the moves fit now,so some progress has been made rofl.
  4. He kinda reminds me of Stalkar Ishiwade, not expecting anyone to know or care who that is. Point is,its different, and it inst like revolting or plain out of place in a match. I dig it.
  5. This will be the first riot that i'll watch in 3 years so i dont know most of u guys so bare with me. Guys that do know my reviews of show knows they dont include rp's,i do read them but i dont comment on them, since its not really my forte, not to great of a RP writer. I just review the matches but since i dont know many of the charachter im gonna comment my personal view of my first impressions, things i like about the caws ,good and bad points. Their my opinion in the end,do as you wish with them. Im always avaialble for assistance just pm me if needed . So here goes ! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ace Angel: Reminds me a bit of AJ Phoenix, interesting look. Normal, good attire, just one thing bothering me about the CAW, the jawline,it does make you non default face looking, but up close it looks really akward. But in the ring you wont see it so dont mind me,im just nit picking. Cant comment on THeme since there wasnt any. Justin Greene: Nice caw, stands out, fitting attire, fitting entrance, good theme, nothing to add really. Match: It was a good match, nothing that stood out in particular. Fitting movesets from what i saw in the match. There are some things that ive seen in more matches that bothered me, but i will adress that seperatly when i finished watching everything. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hazard : Very nice caw,put some nice work in the atitire i like it,very appealing, fitting music , the only thing i comment o is add is some shine to your caw and maybe some chest hair since, the caw is pretty bearded ( it sounds weird,i know) . Face>Skin> Texture add a bit of shine,it makes caws look that much more realistic. It by default is on -36 put on somewhere between -8 and -8,if you have white skin. Paul Pugh : Good attire, fitting music, but since i now take time to look at the entrance, since i already faced Pugh a few times in DM ,i notice the caw expression looks a bit to happyish/babyface and you kinda give off a babyface radiant instead of an Ego centric one. Match: I didnt like the match, not neccasery cause of my hatred towerds anything involving weaponry in this game. A mayority involves what i will adress after i reviewed the rest. What it comes down to this is the applying of sigs and finishers. I had wtf moments in the match but not the good kind. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dorian Armaud: Tip,set your entrance music off :p Very nice caw,has good charisma, just one thing. The boots on the bottom they are yellow,it..kinda looks out of place, since the rest of your doesnt have any. If it is intended take a lighter form of yellow. When you make a color to bright,it looks fake and out of place in the game. It looks like you stepped into a pool of paint instead of having yellow on the bottom of your shoes. Additional advice Note: Your CAF. You kept the speed of the move at 100% im guessing. CAF always need tweaking since most animations are sped up or slowed to the point where it looks someone is either floathing or are decending in a unatural way. Im just putting out advise, making things looks realistic is something i enjoy ^^ So i recreated your CAF, try editing your CAF with this speed settings and it will look allot less self created and more naturally flowing. 1-100, 2-88,3-82,4-107 Jeremiah Johnson: Normal theme, nothing to special. Cant say much about the caw since there was a giant jacket covering everything. Not to mention the jacket looks a bit empty, out of place, not really has any purpose to be there. Since It has nothing on it. Match : Good match, people set up there finishers nicely. The ending is intwined to what botheres me overall, again, ill comment on that later. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ David Jackson: I dunno what to say really. Haha, different then other caws, ill give you that. Yeah that sums it up. Dane Xavier: Dig the pre entrance video, not much to say here also,in a good way for sure with this one, altough ...a certain name popped into my head ....nnnnnnnnate... Match : Wow....now here is a vision changer. When i finished my comments this was my expectation and mental image that i had with both players. David Jackson: Has a decent looking caw for once, lets see if he doesnt have a retarded moveset this time Dane Xavier: Cool looking caw, cool looking intro,he cant do much wrong normally. BUT WOW did that vision change during this match. Holy fucking shit i was rooting for David Jackson at the end. And not just because he was the only one actually wrestling in this match. Xavier you are one cheap and unentertaining guy to see play. Geezus christ you picked David up EVERYTIME even in the beginning when he would have gotten up by himself. You performed exactly 6 strikes in the ENTIRE match and those were on the ground. I dunno at what level tier people regard you, bottom card or mid or whatever but ill tell you this. You got a better picture of caw looks, entrance then most of seen so far but all the effort that you have put in your entrance,in your caw,in your gimmick gets INSTANTLY destroyed the moment you get in the ring. If OCW had no rules at this point in time,im pretty sure there gonna be after this match. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tiberius Dupree : Due to the compress format ill keep in reserve my comments on Aries and Tiberius Dupree. Since it was really hard to see details. Match: Thank you for displaying light at the end of this somewhat grimmy review. Awesome match with the only thing taking away from it being the constant disconnections and probably some lag aswell. TOP notch inring role playing, ill explain what that means. Basic and simple moves at the start and building up to bigger moves in your arsenal. Not to mention...PINNING after these moves, even if there gonna kick out,and even if for instance they messed up you let go, since matches arent suppose to end after lets say a top rope suplex, but you do pin after it. Both guys mix up. One time they pick someone, one time they let him up. Things like that. Very enjoyable match. Also for the first time i was not anoyed at the moments sigs and finishers were used. They were used at creative moments instead of falling out of the sky. Match of the evening: Altough short and connection issues, Aries vs Dupree Markout moment of the night : Aries connects finisher after ground reversal Worsed match of the night : Dane Xavier vs David Jackson Now,that last match is a perfect segway to problems that i had with the first 3 matches. The match with Dupree and Aries had a much higher entertainment value then the other 4 matches. Because there was such so much better role playing going inside the ring. The selection when to do wich moves, when to hit sigs, when to hit finishers , ( sigs are kinda a bitch to hit,but still id rather not hit my sig then doing it out of the blue ) . What bothered me the most that Front located sigs and Finishers were just getting hit out of the blue, just walking up to someone when the defender probably was counting either a strike or a grapple, not a finisher. And altough that is a wtf its a very unappealing wtf. A good display of pretty much everything above was the 2nd match, Pugh vs Hazard. Every finisher and sig looked out of place,no setup, not placed after a reversal no nothing. And the ending of the match felt very bitter,as like i said. You dont expect to get hit by a finisher when your standing next to someone getting up anticipating either a grapple or a strike, not a finisher. So yeah i didnt like how Pugh won that won,it felt very desperate. Wich brings me to point number 2 ! When the connection between player is good enough you can no sell any finisher...wich is a bother...and creates desperate endings and unwanted endings like the 2nd and 3rd match. So i guess that should be adressed or atleast disccussed at some point ^^
  6. Hey i just said i kick out of pins:p im no good at this game. And it will take a while before my caws are finished. Hard time getting the faces to look even somewhat Japanese -_-
  7. You cant spam ground move anyway, getting a ground move in when both are healthy is impossible,it becomes optional later on when opponents get damaged.i'd say dont limit it,when the moment is there where you could spam it,the match is close to being over anyway. I see kickouts at one point being a problem. It becomes relativly easy to find the sweet spot, lag will fk things up but still. I kick out of everything atm,no matter how damaged i am

*A sky view displaying the Friday night's Riot arena..a few seconds pass and it starts to zoom in to a nearby hotel as a knocking sound is heard* ???? : "Who is it?!" Delivery boy: " I have package delivered to the adress of one Tyro Kraven" *Tyro opens the door* Tyro: "Must be some kinda mistake son cause i did not order anything" *Delivery boy scratches his head* DB: "I'm sorry but it says here Ty- *Tyro snatches the package from the delivery boy* Tyro: "Yea yea,i get it " *shakes the package* DB: "Sign here please" *Tyro signs the paper as he investigates the square box covered in gift rappings* DB: "Thank you sir, i'll be on my- *SLAMMM* *Tyro kicks the door shut, puts the box on a table and starts pacing back and forth* Tyro: "Mace..what are you up to...i did not order anything so this must be your doing" *Tyro crashes on the sofa..silently staring at the box* -- several minutes pass-- Tyro: " .....aah F it.." *Tyro grabs a baseball bat in his right hand as he slowly removes the gif rapping...nothing happends. Tyro then proceed's to slowly opents the box when suddenly something shoots out of it* Tyro: *Wacking wildly with his baseball bat* "Aaaaaaaaaaaaah! TAKE THAT!" *Out of breath from it all he now see's what came out of the box* Tyro: *Scratches head* " Jack-in-a-box ....how lame.." *As Tyro tears apart the Jack-in-a-box he finds a letter* Tyro: " I'm not playing your games Mace" *Crushes the letter and tosses it into the trash can* * Tyro grabs a beer from the fridge, kicks his feet on the table and crashes on the sofa and flips on the TV* ---several hours later--- *Knocking sound* Hotel Manager: "Excuse me, Mr Kraven...Excuse me, Mr Kraven. It is 8'o clock. It should be very clear that when staying here you have to dine at our exclusive restaurant downstairs during your stay and you are late, sir." "Manager knocks a few more times before using his key to open the door as he walks in the room he finds that it is empty" Hotel Manager: "Left while leaving suchs a mess !" *A cleaning team enters shortly after and starts cleaning the endless sea of beer bottles and junk food leftovers when the camera starts to zoom in on an item lying on the ground..a letter..unfolded..looks like it has been crushed..* *Camera fades to black*
  9. I used Danzig-Five Finger Crawl way before Bold used it,before his clown gimmick he asked me if he could use it. Since me participating wasnt planned i had little time and didnt care much to get a new theme. So pls Smythe and Bold just let those endless comments about that match go. The only reason i have ever brought Vega in this year is as a favor,to help a match. Story written things in my case mean jack. Im bad at it and give little to no value to it. At the time of that Bold match there were plans for a storyline but then both my parents got sick so it never started. Now on to watch the show, glad people liked my entrance ^^
  10. That is correct. Didnt use Vega at all when that match happend, used high flyer, found out i couldnt play with it. I dont see why u bring that up Smythe since that happend like what, half a year ago ? As for the EX title match. I was simply ASKED to help out for that match and i accepted. Not everything is storyline crap related. Have i rped to earn a shot ? Nope , but obviously management and the contender found it more important that the EX title match had fair and interesting contenders in it. Never have RPed much but i never really needed it much either cause i have 2 caw with a whole lot of awesomness to compensate it with that make people want to see my matches even if i lose or win. For me,making the match look good comes 1st,winning is a nice bonus. My handicap vs Malu and morlek's guy is one of my favorite match cause i lost in such an awesome way lol.
  11. Red Team can still go either way for me Cross and Steve. It all depends who wins and loses the last rounds. Pretty cool.
  12. Competition is an aspect of something where you try to see what you're place is on the ladder. How far your skills will take you. You have a starting point when playing a game. By playing allot you get better but eventually there is a sealing for everyone. It is shitty but here is the bottom line. After 2 to 3 years that people have been here, people know where they are on the ladder, skill wise. Who they can beat, who they might have a chance against and who they will simply lose to. The decline of the in-game speed in series has great part in the somewhat slump OCW has been in for a while. Like guy would say,i want to hit that Cutter out of nowhere wich you cant. SvR is very slow, set and its way and is boring to play. Hence why it is hardly played outside a official show match. There was most likely good competition when OCW started (I wasnt there so i dunno) There was heavy competition when EWA entered OCW.(not so much between the EU side, but because people couldn't play the other side, people were interested in the matches) There was heavy competition when the EU roster joined the US Roster. And it has been kinda stale for the last year and a bit. Ofcourse guys like BradBauer,Smythe,Bold and Parker joined (and others that i missed) The only thing that will revive that competition aspect is a new game. TNA might be CAW/Creation and feature wise, the lesser game. But if it brings the speed back of 06,if it brings a gameplay that give loads of option to perform your finisher from, make matches intersting to play and to watchl,i will give it my thumbs up.
  13. The first one to use a Super gogolada plex RKO Stunner into Rockbottom Swanton Bomb...Kennedy Kenton bomb will be fired immidiatly. Just..awesome..
  14. One must do what needs to be done. One of the most original looking caws in OCW,with and without hair rofl. Goodluck and hopefully see ya soon. ^^
  15. On the Guy/Smythe edited ending it was meh,i don't see why one wants to end his first titel win like that. With that aside who won the actual match ?
  16. Your opinion is respected but you're doing as if getting a replacement is atthe hardest task known to men. *Tyro shouts on chatbox: Hey anyone want to do a filler match ? Tyro gets 1 or 2 reply's goes do match, tapes match, done* This process will take at most 40 min( including compleeting match in WMM )
  17. Didn't poe say in the GM office in that very same thread that he was back? ^^
  18. You know what..to tired to write a report, bah. Trips covered everything anyway ^^
  19. Agreed. Combined with a markout this post is un needed but i just want to state how anoying it is to see constant dragging in matches when it's not needed. Drag when you get reversal chain and you get your grapple back, then i can understand but don't start with a drag as soon as you enter a grapple. Grapple> drag = wrong and lame Grapple> Reversed> Reversed back to you> drag = fine
  20. Logged in on my other account JUST to put an additional mark out for the first post of this thread
  21. Say it right next time Smythe, i wont correct this mistake a 2nd time.
  22. Lord of the rings revamp Alright so i'm going implement the LOTR rating thing into my usual review ( or other way around, depends on how you look at it). Posting it in the player event is such a hassle and gets easely overlooked so i'll post in the show threads. Morleck will assist me with the score if the rest of the F.P.R team is alright with that. I will not go into the detail as much as in my previous reports ( since i now spend twice as long watching a match ...pausing lol ). I will still point out moveset errors and note match endings and what not. Note this is still testing phase so i wont make rankings yet, that will start after the next PPV. So here goes! Side note im not doing the, closest match, bigest gap etc you can all conclude that from the scores. Hmm if anyone knows how MMM made that scoring tablet, feel free to send it,this looks a bit messy. Vindicator vs Banjo Grimm Match Flow: A very stale and slow match. Moveset Banjo: Fine Moveset Vindicator: Fine Match ending : Normal pickup toe kick finisher ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Entertainment Value : 6.5 Aries vs Val Final Match Flow: Loads of reversals and fast paced...but..that was it..20+ min of reversals and un needed weapon attacks. I think this match has more reversals then actual moves wich in itself is..boring to watch in a way,way to much time spend in the crowd area. Moveset Aries : Fine Moveset Val : Fine Match Ending : 12 min late..but pretty cool.. a Top rope finisher to the outside. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Entertainment value: 7 A fine attempt to redo the high quality match from from last time, the reversals were there, the action wasnt. Bauer vs W.A Poe I knew i was going to do the LOTR stuff in the weekend so i actually had not watched this match yet, and to be honest i expected allot worse, not taking away of the fpr breakage, but all and all was a decent match. Match Flow: Good, but i bit to much time spend outside,i dunno why poe kept going there. Moveset BB: Fine Moveset Poe: Fine Match Ending: Normal toe kick finisher ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Entertainment Value: 7 Taking away the already known mistakes from both party's i still think this match was alright. Malu vs Reckon This match was somewhat scripted and cut down if correct so i didnt rate and really have no additional comments for it.. poor Reckon to face Malu like that. Nice Vid follow up. Little piece of advise for inring RP's like this. Presuming these are taped offline..why not put the HUD off ? So the names and such dissappear makes it looks allot nicer. Trips vs Carlos Cruz Match Flow: The match was a bit skippy at times making hard to apply the scores but i got it right i think. This match was what to be expected from 2 somewhat layed back style wrestler. Some stale moments but after a while Trips is forced to take the offense and the match finishes within a nice time. Moveset Trips : Good Moveset Cruz : Fine Match Ending: Original match prob ended with the Dragon sleeper, good ending ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Entertainment Value : 7 An alright match, little clash of playing style but good match. Very nice vid RP at the end,Steve bringing the point across that he want's that TV title, hope he doesnt go for the DQ when he's in the match rofl, with HUD turned of the RP gives it a less messy look, props to the creator. Deano (RRoD) Horse ( vs ) Versus and The Air Match Flow : Match had a nice feel to it. Deano started good against Air,got him yellow fairly quickly. Air and Deano share some close moments at 7:37. Even for a men Deano's godly body is inresistable. I think Air stayed in a bit to long RP wise Versus and Deano are in a clinch. All in all a good match, Deano survived pretty long but was unable to get the big red despite his effort. Moveset Air : Kick'y Moveset Versus : Cheesy Moveset Deano : Sexy Match Ending: Normal toe kick finisher, seemed VS was going for the finisher after the reversal but as what happends most of the time, just when u hit the button you can't hit it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Entertainment Value: 7.5 Wrestler Points Win/Lose Total ___________________________________________________ Vindicator 217 30 247 Banjo Grimm 177 - 177 ___________________________________________________ Aries 296 30 326 Val Finale 267 - 267 ___________________________________________________ Brad Bauer 163 30 193 W.A Poe 79 - 79 ___________________________________________________ Malu - L - Reckon - W - ___________________________________________________ Trips 209 30 239 Carlos Cruz 179 - 179 ___________________________________________________ Deano - L - Versus/Air - W - ___________________________________________________
