Awesome review. I hope the reason why the discussion has been low because everyone needed there time to digest lution and not because a rare occasion there was nothing to bitch about. -

Shit i forgot to mute the sound of Eddie's entrance.*/slaps himself* Sorry EA! -
Well since ur usual choices are out how about a move more in the cutter direction? Not actually the cutter, but a move that hits fast. Nobody has that fast finisiher neckbreaker from behind,i could see Guy doing it.

I guess im the only one that got rubbed the wrong by the handicap match. But then again im a moveset whore.

sWo vid very well made. Simply briljant. The tag match.Indeed there seem to be a "no big grapple" rule put in. The only one attempting them was Ryder who got them reversed back. Aside that the flow of the match was pretty ok. Fun part of the match was when Ryder dragged..dunno wich one is wich,to their corner for double team but got reversed, dragged back to other corner, got a double got him, whip in corner for double but allas Aries controls fucked up and he missed the running counter. Way to long skipped (PastCactusJack wants to play, no Dj jack no one will ever volutairly face you in a DM unless there is absolutly no person left in OCW) ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2nd match, Steve vs poe and vindicator At the matches i watched in its entire ill give score, based on performance moveset etc. It starts with a nice touch as Steve gets a boot to the face at the sound of the bell, thank you for waiting. Poe is i reckon nervous or something since in the first 10 sec of the match he's already displaying some rushiness wich after the running knee Steve responds with an imidiat clothesline of his own...wich surprisingly Poe again responds with a running clothesline. 2 Running attacks in 20 sec..{whistles} Poe its a HANDICAP MATCH ..relax. (Sidenote,i think poe's moveset is a mess, chops, kicks, floating drop kicks, throat trust, heel kicks, those do not all fit in one guy and for the floating dropkick and the quick heel kick ur to big,fix it) Geezus im getting pissed just by watching this match,i wonder how Steve must be feeling. Vindicator isnt starting any better. Fury punch and quick stun combo. These guys are playing as if there life depended on it..geez. Steve is finally building some steam and start to do some damage. Whoever tough the heart attack double team looked good on 2 massive guy's? Steve's body eventually goes red by a running dropkick in the corner by poe (wtf..) followed up by another dropkick in the sitting position(again wtf). Steve then busts out a nice powerbomb pin wich looks very good following it of with a Dragon and Northern light suplex. After a while Poe finally tags vindactor in who immidiatily pulls a running clothesline not even letting Steve target. Some time later Steve again receives a running dropkick in the sitting position by a guy twice his size( wt...f). Steve hits a finisher but it gets reversed . Steve hits another finisher later on Poe but gets broken up. Poe hits the body 2 knee and ends the match. Conclusion: I did not like this match one bit. Main reason is the very rediculous movesets especially from Poe. No style no nothing. There were allot of..hmm.ok.. moments. Only thing making it worht watching was Steve especially when he started to get some moves in,great moveset, great style. Score Steve: 8 Score Poe: 4 Score Vindicator: 5 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Kang James vs AA This looks to be a good match. First minute goes back and forth. Double AA with the spinning chop...hmm not a big fan of that. One either chops or used closed fists,AA uses fists so no chops. Double AA should have backed away at 5:00 mark. Just like Mr J already pointed out the quick stung grapples get over used a bit by Double A. Kang hits a nice clothesline that sends Double A out of the ring, never seen that before look cool lol.The quick grapple madness is kinda setting the underlying tone in the match Kang makes a comeback but does get red first. The match was long for a single match and the sour taste of Body to Knee makes this match less entertaining then i would have hoped..i dont even know how its possible to hit the same quick grapple so many times. Score Kang James : 7 Score Double AA : 5 -----------------------------------------------------------------

Im not absolutly sure but it seems we're following the tradition in firing someone at lution...might be wrong here. Didnt Yohanson or Fanny get fired at Lution?

Rping every week = good Good ethics in match = good Your Val = negates basicly everything ------------------------------------------------- Total = Curtain jerker

It's your amazing ability to receive critisism and ability to solve problems by blocking, not playing people and stuff like that that i like about you the most. If more people would solve there problems like this we might have OCW with good ethics but im guessing we would have a rather small community...like 6 people. Seriously, the people who are in question with the so called "bad ethics" are already part of the community. Its not a new guy or something that doesnt get it. There is just a few minor things that still need to be fixed. We can do the black and white method like you suggest and we will lose allot of members that way. Or we take a little effort, like the meeting after Wrestlution and fix what needs to be fixed and continue from there on. -
I will NOT give up my catchphrase damm it. No idea who Aaron Jackson is tough..maybe Nathan cause we called him the michael jackson of OCW yesterday in the shoutbox since he skin color changes every match.

Eating Crow, Sad Face, The Future, and Whores.

For every game flaw there is a rule to be made. What the problem now is that it seems we have to go to kindergarden and adress everything we havent yet cause not everyone seems to be on the same page on whats right and wrong. So if the ME isnt happy i guess there is nothing left to do but shutdown OCW or take every oppertunity to say how bad the game is.You'd think after negative comment number 100 we would get that. Or we find a solution for the problems like we have done every other year. -

I think the biggest problem of 08 is moderation. One person uses to many ground move or ground attack One person quick grapples to often One person finds it absolutly normal to whip a guy in the corner at the start of the match and do it 3 more times around. Quick grapples are essenstails yes. But here is where the ethics comes in to play. Move repeating is still move repeating. So if you hit a body knee and followed it up,you used your body to knee to follow up once. So when a match is long enough or just by bad luck you do your quick grapple body to knee again start to adjust and just back away instead. Same with punching with anoying hurt animations. If you followed up once no need to do it again. And there are some stuff that needs looking into but that will come after Lution -
Last thing i will say on this. The person who wins a match in 08 = 30 % skill and 70% not caring how it looks or ends.
-
God i hate that move with a passion..
-
Exactly, its these little things in the ring that make a charachter compleet. Your moveset and playing style are part of the whole package. You can RP your ass off and win every match but if people dont like enjoy to see ya fight,i wouldnt see a point in doing the match.
-
I wouldnt blame the quick grapples all on Cross here. Majin was doing this running thing i notice BB did when i played him. Run a bit forward then grapple. Nothing wrong with it but he ran into most of those quick grapples himsel. The match wasnt bad it was again an ethics thing. The stun grapples made the difference tough. I dont see why everyone always have to follow up on them. Take them because they suit your charachter not because it gives you so much time to hit a move. Plus Cross has to control the fury punches a bit,3 is a bit to much for the duration for the match. In 2k8 there is now a real difference between playing styles. You have: People that have there main priority set on winning. People that have there priority set on displaying a good match. Even tough i played crap against bold with Vega,it wasnt an entertaining match and there was no real glorious beat down either,it was still a match with a weird taste to it. Bold has 2 out of 3 quicks stuns atleast (Body Knee,Fury Punch stun and i missed or didnt see) ,a running clothesline 13,wich is a lhvy looking clothesline doesnt suit him and sets up for another attack,Running knee strikes at ropes, also stun did not follow up,big guess he would if it was a closer match, the dubbel axe handle altough it suits him is a strike with large range and stun effect. Triple power punch, get up animation,Rampage when he already was clearly winning so 2 unblockable moves. I use a rope choke for about 2 sec and let go,i get it done back twice the duration. And ground finisher with no setup up move anything. To make clear im not bitching about the match i expected to lose but just looking at movesets can make it pretty clear who plays for the win and who plays for show. And maybe we should start dividing roster based on this.

Pfff all so negative Smythe. Not even commenting on the fact that i only rolled once the entire match...but then again i countered just as much. I got more reasons to retire (atleast for this year) Vega beside this one. 1.Vega = High Flyer, just like Chino. It has always been its trademark. And i seem to be able not roll but if its at the cost of reversing even the easyst grapple then im done with him. I did allot with Vega in the past and i know that reputation is still worht something but i just cannot enjoy playing him this year. 2. The match was even faster then normal with me having 7.5 dur and Bold's 7.5 Str and Bold has a pretty unforgiving playing style and did not really give me a chance -_- 3. I have very high requirements when it comes to caws or i cant play with em. Kinda like in Assasin's Creed, the guy has to synch with the charachter.I've been struggling with the Vega caw since 08 especially with RP's unlike Tyro who looked even cooler on 08 . Thats why i brought Tyro back and not Vega. So that's also a reason. 2 new games coming TNA and 09 and since i can enjoy myself in caw mode i want to have an open slot for an alt if i can make another nice caw.

Depends on your personal preference. Some enjoy the story element of a show. Some enjoy watching the match itself and some just enjoy watching certain people. And some indeed dont watch anything or like everything in its entire. And some just want to make sure there own match looks great. Everyone adds his own weight to an ocw show and the community. Even if not everyone writes it down. The only wrong is not doing anything at all.

I would suggest taking Pugh of the booking if he is so hard to get a hold off.
