I preferred the S-Cup concept when it was RoH Pure-Style wrestling like it was last year. Wider appeal and more doable- SvR, despite our complaints, more strongly resembles a wrestling game than a MMA game.

 

This just seems dull to me and exploitable.

The original idea when we were doing the S Cup rules before was RoH PureStyle wrestling. I don't know where this MMA idea came from. Don't like that to much, as Poison said no chopping is meh.

Anyways, although I enjoy the concept of just straight wrestling where people can't exploit Irish Whips/Turnbuckle Moves/Turnbuckle Finishers and so on, the MMA idea does seem a little out of place. I liked the "Pure" concept and I wish I could make my 2006 S Cup Attire on 2007, but I can't :(

I think jay didn't really mean for it to be just an mma match, i think he just meant for it to be MMA like in the fact that moves like "the hulk up", etc arent used and people dont run around like its a marathon. While the rules can still use a little fine-tuning, I think you guys may have misinterpreted jay's intent a little.

i think either pure wrestling or mma style could both be interesting and fun. but i think if its more mma style, a few things should be changed. you cant have mma without ground and pound. {you can, but theres nothing like watching someone get on top of another person and just beat the ever loving shit out of them.} and if theres no dirty moves allowed, you cant do this. all ground grapple punch attacks are dirty. also, you should be able to use the corner/ turnbuckle. its no different than the corner of a ring or cage in an mma fight. corner attacks and basic grapples should be allowed, just no diving or jumping moves from the turnbuckle. its just that we are limited to so many moves with weightclass restrictions as is, that without dirty moves, corner moves, irish whip grapples, we are going to basically see the exact same moves on everyone involved. also, i actually like the cage idea if this is going to be more on the mma side.
