OCW - Online Championship Wrestling – With All Due Respect #6

This my first time listening to WADR, figured I'd give it a listen while I cleaned this morning. A lot more peaceful than a Desk, definitely dug the vibe and structure of the cast. Cactus is an awesome host.

 

So I'll give a "RIOT HOOT" perspective, keep in mind these are my opinions, not all of Riot or all the Hoots, but MY opinion.

 

Turmoil is an anomaly to me and the reason it has yet to reach it's full potential is because it was given too much too early.

 

It should have been treated as a rookie show like Ambition instead of a veteran show like Riot. So you get rookies thinking they're on the same level as guys who've been here 10x as long, then you got vets who constantly shit on rooks because they're given opportunities and a platform to succeed (yet still complain) while they had to fight tooth and nail for theirs. It's literally 2 different worlds.

 

As for Gjack mentioning new blood, that won't help b as it takes months for rooks to GET OCW, shit some ppl on Riot and Turmoil roster still don't GET OCW and have been nearly a year or more. It's more than writing rps and doing matches, you have to know how to manage time and have tough skin. Just as Leon mentioned, stick to what your good at and get that over.

 

If someone gives you criticism here it's to help you improve or toughen your skin, it's far from hate or DRAMA. Because if we're making the time/effort to say something to you it's so you can GET OCW. If you honestly see/heard how much some of us critique each other you'd understand how much we dial it back when talking to rooks, etc.

 

So when we see someone COMPLAIN about how we treat them we just laugh and go harder until you become a Denny or Pam. Greatness is forged from passion and adversity not coddling and hand holding.

 

Stop dangling carrots and let them plant their own garden, grow their own worth. Spend less time worrying about opportunities and titles and more about character development and feuding. Titles are just accessories, a strong character will get you more opportunities more titles, shit it will get you more out of OCW in general.

 

Think about what feud your gonna do next, what cool thing your gonna do with you caw next, NOT who Dennis Black is facing next, NOT wondering when your gonna get a title match, NOT why I didn't get booked this week or what Pugh said to you in Discord.

You want to let this be a thing then let it be a thing. I am not. It's a shame because I thought you were different type of dude than that. When you say something like "spoken like a true champ. help me? you got made and ignored me because i said you had a classic match that should have been saved for a better card. Keep pissing on those below you so that you feel special." ------- how can you not expect that response? Especially for someone who has gone to bat for you and turmoil, we both have. How is he pissing on those below him? Because he holds both belts? Should he lie down? One does not just make someone give something up just because they're doing so well- you just keep improving so that you can take it from them. And if you can't, well that's not their problem, its yours.

 

You need to understand the contradiction in your words. You call him an "amazing champ" but then make the claim that he's pissing on you all. If you mean 'piss' as 'beat', then sure. But no one can say that we haven't tried to help people, make them feel welcome, or take them under our wing, especially Dennis. What is this label that you say Dennis is trying to put on you? He made a point. People can have opinions, it doesn't always mean it's a personal attack.

I had a few people come too me about this so here we go. Jack said on the podcast Dennis is the most hard working guy in this place. We know what he has done for Turmoil. That's why he is the top guy. When you're the champ you always have a target on your back. That's just how it goes. I been there, it's why I gave the title to Valmont because I listened to all the nay Sayers and that was one of my biggest mistakes.

 

All Jack said is he feel the TV championship isn't doing anything for Den right now. I am sure Jack will go into it more but that being said. I don't want Dennis just to drop the belt to someone like I did. I want someone to earn it.

 

We won't be bringing in any more belts because we already have to many.
