Big Ed Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 we had a cross console handler get both world belts. a moment that actually had some teeth and a build to it. The number of people we have that can pull that off is slim. if it is so hard to find contenders then maybe it wouldn't be so bad to have a unified champion for a few months until riot and turmoil can build a legit main event crew again. TV belt could have stripped or retired, I know he's asked for it multiple times. or maybe end the show with a contenders match so we can have a build for his first world title defense instead of plucking peeps outta thin air? was sensation just being opra? only it was title shots and not cars? How did we get to those two contenders over others that were putting in work at the end of 2k17? I think someone wrote 'this is wrestling'. aren't builds a part of wrestling? didn't we have a small one a night tournament last year over the LHW? we could have opened the show with solid players to fight to right to face the new champion. and they come out in the ME to fight for the title. or maybe just end the show with a contenders match and we build to devil's night. there was plenty of ways to handle this. But now we got a new champ on riot who had been missing since...summer?, and a ocw former champ on turmoil who never got pinned for it? booking be a thankless job. But that doesn't mean we should hide behind that fact when things don't make a whole lotta sense. I'm looking at this as a person who watches the shows. do we think about what kind of message this match sends to our rooks? Is there a point in them putting in work when all it takes is us being thin to get a opportunity? but I still don't see the point in trying to end the reign of reliable people that are good on the sticks and prob never will. in a place that prides itself on comp, isn't that counter productive? Not tryna be a dick, I'm just someone that actually watches shows. on to riot we go.

Just Cort, H20 and the current Champ. Not much to work with there. EVERYONE was gone after Summercide. Neither Kass or Mugen received rematches for their world titles. Kass is literally Denny’s best friend who constantly claims to be co-champion. Far from thin air if you followed shoes for the last 2 years. Jay does not like Denny, him putting him in a match against his best friend sounds like something you do to someone you hate. If you really hate him you put him in a match with the most dangerous worker you can find. So Let’s strip him of the TV to end a reign but putting him in a 3 way makes no sense? Bit hypocritical if you ask me. Contender?! He has beaten the entire roster twice over in 1 v 1 competition. H20 or Cort, Bunny D? No offense to those guys but that’s no challenge for a unified champion. Having him become unified champion just means the only people able to compete for it would need to be dual console otherwise we’ll essentially be vacating a title (eventually), vacating a WORLD title is no bueno b. If he’s feuding with a Riot guy the Turmoil title collects dust for a month. If he feuds with a Turmoil guy the Riot title collects dust. While all this is going down he’s doing random defenses of the TV title.
