That was the last Stiggy match with old style and moveset. Trying to develop him into old school, methodical heel. Fists and elbows, not flips and kicks, simple moves etc.

That was off a reversal. Totally okay to do a move, no? I was gonna charge my fin but they just popped roight up so I was trying to bop them. Was I supposed to give up a reversal bar because the animation knocked 'em down?

 

I didn't notice a reversal was the knock down. If so ur good but with the move you were doing a charge or full stood up opponent is best bet. Probably should have just strikes 2 or 3 times then went for it.
