    .....I don't even know where to start. I recently said that I enjoy oddities in the world of Sports Entertainment, but this might be the exception. Just in the first 30 seconds, I can't tell if I'm going to watch an episode of Sanford and Son, an old-school Japanese Pop singer, or a comic-con presentation. So much contrast in so little time... it's hard for me to comprehend it all.

     

    Also, you want your entrance to focus on you... because... well, you're the star. I wasn't sure if Beta was the leader, or if the anime chick, with sexually aggressive hip thrusts, was going to wrestle for him. The camera even focuses on her sliding into the ring, not Beta. So weird.

     

    I wasn't a big fan of the move-set either. I think I need to watch more NJPW to truly appreciate the move-list... or any of this, for that matter. I just don't connect with any of it.

     

    The attire even seems lacking to me. I may be OCD, but I can appreciate asymmetrical attires, and this makes me imagine he raided his sister's closet at the last second.

     

    I thought the name was funny because "Betamax", but even that feels noncongruent within this seemingly random world. I want to offer advice, but as I said at the beginning, I don't even know where to start.

     

    Looking at the taunts, I thought you might be going with a "Prince" vibe --like an effeminate superstar-- but I'm not sure. Could be an example of a modern anime archetype? I just don't know.
