Non Tre Golden Rule

If you are booked first on the card make sure you RP can go after, show felt front-loaded with a previously record rp about money loss leading into a opening match was weird not a big deal but I'm petty.

 

Jordan vs Johnny:

WELCOME TO OCW KID!, not much to say! Dope Attire, Dope Song, Dope CAW, per the norm didn't get to see much move set cuz johnny waffle stopped the kid but such is life, hit the dm's watch matches practice and better luck next time, hoot

I liked the faith based promo it sold me. Like I said on stream I could see Mantis using white and cold and id be down for it.

 

 

Thirst Trial or Time Trial

As a PROMOTER once you tell ppl the stakes you can expect what you can expect. My once famous line was telling to thirst buckets to fight and not telling them why(it was for a #1 contender), they actually had a good match in 2006 because they just played, I then told the same 2 to fight again told them the stakes and well the 2nd one was ooooof. That being said it's a time trial so you gotta go fast, not much to add saw the time you do the DAN MAFF! (that's a joke) I kinda wish most tag matches where this short easy breezy beautiful. Shoutout, to the Smackdown Arena stuff, right up there with the WWE LOGO...sigh

 

Assley

Ashley gone do what Ashley gonna do. I don't know why I'm mentioning this RP its Wrestling 101 to the point but here we are. Found out Big Mommy Stool Blaine is the HEAVY for Ashley!

 

Danny Phantom Watt Time For Thee Mantis

This match was an emotional roller coaster ride, rookie ish FPR suggestions aside I was sports entertained. We really thought Manti was gonna walk out with the W then he fucked himself more than once and Danny knocked the shit on him, thinking about it now I am starting to laugh and now I can't stop laughing HOLY SHIT HOOT LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL oh god... Look this is an example of going out there and fighting competitively and both guys looking good coming out of it (i mean mantis fucked himself but before that it was a decent outing)

I'm only mentioning it because I don't understand it, DUALITY OF MAN? DUALITY OF BINGO? MAN CONFLICTED "A MAN APART" (WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF SHE DIES) *CUES PUDDLE OF MUDD* Interested to see where it goes tbh.

 

Time Trial 2 Electric Sugaboo

This felt more like the bog standard tag match. Obviously they time trial wasn't won, however we did get to see the return of B20 (I popped, I lus Baker..HELLO? DAD) TREMENDOUS showing by Golden Cobra. Speaking of Cobra WHERE HAS THIS COBRA BEEN? THIS IS THE COBRA WE LOVE, holy shit A.C was not playing, I just imagine him holding his controller stone faced mumbling to himself. "Oh Im a loser ok I'm a loser, DREAM CAST MOTHER FUCKER" This what H20 gets for having a new yee yee haircut!

THICC SLICED Salami Promo

What is there to be said, Solomon Caine looks like a retired youth pastor from Bagnell Missouri who got fired because father benedetto caught him smoking "The Devils Lettuce" one Sunday. The man is translucent, with an even more yee yee haircut than h20. BUT GOT DAMN THAT MUTHAFUCKA can cut a promo, ohhhh lord. Let it be known kids, USE YOUR WORDS HOOT! Not to long incredibly riveting, put over TUCKY! and set the stage, WRESTLING 101 simple and effective. Tucky you better practice B, he looks like someone who sells really bad molly, he will fuck you up! Side note I heard ppl complaining about not hearing this promo? Audio was fine, yea it had echo effect, so either A)get better head phones or B) STFU in VP and actually LISTEN /shrug

 

Lady Valmonts

There was some uproar about Empress wearing the CCW Title for her entrance, now normally I'd agree but Kassidy Hayes pretty much set the stage for Zero Fucks Given since, 2016. If there was an entrance where he could launch the title from the ramp to the ring he would be the one to use it. That being said god dam that belt is huge. The attack makes sense and did what it needed to do but it dragged out way too long....Less is more......clocking in at about 4 minutes with parts that had SFX and effort then parts that where completely silent. Coulda been 1 Min ent and 1.25 beat down and it woulda hit the mark, IDK Less is More probably would have had a more chaotic frenzied energy if it was shorter to boot.

 

 

The Longest Thud

TLDR: If match too long for a TV Taping and not Main Event, cut out some stuff fade into later in match (let us know in sub section) and keep it moving. Watch wasn't terrible, with the whole lag etc. Just way too fucking long.

Main Event Time

Four Stars, solid match. I mean above solid. Cort is an annoying person to talk to, listen to, interact with, deal with, eat with, talk with. BUT that boy knows WRASSLIN. And on top of that he isn't bad at the game just too hung up on imaginary meta shit. I'll be honest I thought Shep was gonna waffle stomp but Cort's like NOT TODAY HOOT. Go watch the match its really good, if more matches where like this (you know competitive and not redone) I'd be way happier. go watch now GO NOW. fuck you here. Also didn't hurt that Nike and Angus where in the booth. If its not me and my hetero life mate jake, this is the #2 Squad I don't hate.

 

Finale Shenanigans

Having 4 diff videos is brutal for me with youtube, but I get it. WHO IS THE MYSTERY MAN, WHO IS ATTACKING EVERYTING!. Bog standard finger pointing, lore/match building. Checked all the boxes, Shout out to Hon Hon Hon French Coward, everyone popped in the VP and Discord, didn't hate it looks like a FUCKING STARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR HOOT!. It's big reveal time, and he isn't your friend and your not his! The Air and Arena are heavy with high cholesterol! its Trance! The fact that Rusty got a bigger pop than the reveal all I can say is.

YALL AINT SHIT! I can't! I feel like this might be weird karma from the "wow" years ago idk, but yall aint shit!

Empress wearing the title for us is less disrespecting the title cuz i didn't even think that thought for a second and more the dynamic currently with Kassidy and Empress.

Leo Grimm v Aisu was a god damn dog fight. It's at times like this where I wish the handler of Leo would've brought in a more "real life" type wrestler so then the loss wouldn't be as "bad". Plus, WHY DIDN'T YOU GO FOR THE PIN!?!? WHY TWO FINS HOOT WHY!!!! But damn. That match was real good to watch. Main Event was pretty fucking fire as well that was a nice TV match, and I wouldn't mind seeing Cort v Shepard again cause I love me some Cort Marshall brother.

Tag team matches we're y'know, one end on one spectrum the other on the other end. You had LC v The Hattons basically turn into a slaughter cause Reese & I separated the Hattons, then you have B2O v GC and that shit was a FIGHT! AC Cobra showing why IT'S FIGHTING SEASON!!! I popped hard af when Cobra made H2O use his resil. Wouldn't hate Golden Cobra duking it out again to see who truly should face Harvey. But! Neat to see Lucha Country gets to face CQC or whomever is gonna defend the Tag Titles.

Empress carrying the CCW title wasn't a bad thing either. I think that was dope ESPECIALLY with the entrance Kass & her used. Also, tying into Kasstianity, I fuck with Sparky being a little bit unloyal and complaining about Empress. Is Kasstianity gonna lose another member or will Sparky straighten up? BUT THEN! You got B17 with the case and all the other 4 men besides Kass who want that title. Gonna be a real interesting buildup to Lution with this match but I think the CCW title needs it and so does Turmoil tbh. This feud/story has probably been one of the most enjoyable things in OCW right now. Written, video, and matchwise all participants haven't let down.

I was not to keen on the Johnny Millionaire v Jordan Echo match. I like the fact that management is allowing somebody who has just joined get booked so quickly. That is for sure a plus, but damn Echo.. my mans got eaten alive. Johnny Millionaire was relieving all his stress on this man and I felt like the towel should've been thrown in. But, that is comp for you. Can't avoid it there are just gonna be those matches that people get the absolute piss beaten out of em.

Soloman Caine's promo was very nice. I fucking love when people do voice promos, I know it's a nerve wracking thing to do for some to do them but man; when people who can do them and do em good? They are gold. That is probably the best way to buildup a character it just gives you more lifelike features. You get to hear the voice, the emotion, and all that sweet jazz. Very good promo Caine, can't wait to see what happens with this Joshua Tucker experiment.

Gonna be a hottake but probably MOTN runner up was definitely Danny Watts v The Mantis. I truthfully (sorry Mantis) thought Danny was gonna come into this match and just eat Mantis. BUT WOW!! When I seen Mantis have that mega damage lead and just not giving a fuck about rev advantage (props btw i fucks with that) this man was just never saying die. The Mantis character from that match grew more onto me. But Jesus Christ Danny, you almost fucked it so bad and had you lost I never ever ever EVER! Would've let your 5'3 self live it down. Mantis just by a few fingertips almost had the victory but unfortunately Watts powerbombed the shit outta him and then decapitated him. Impressive match gentlemen.

[B-17]

Johnny Mill has essentially replaced Loki as rookies first match. I used to get to fight the rookies first. Doc could have been a bit nicer but rookies fill in at the bottom and work their way up. That's the reality here in ocw.
