Michael Morrison Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Shortest Ironman Match ever, Carlos doesn't like rotten apples, Pugh gives us an impressive loss, a tag match that sounds like "Trip on weed and gain a horse" - yes, I realize I have a weird view on things - and last, but certainly not least, Versus promo's his favorite restaurant and it ain't The Versus Bar. I just wanted to say that I didn't display the Malu vs Alex Cooper, because it was pretty much a living RP. I enjoyed the "match" and I'm a big fan of Malu and Blood, but there was nothing really to rank. I also decided not to rank the match between Vindicator and W.A.P, but I had already started keeping score, so I though it would be fun to see how they tallied before the 5 minute match was over. OK, maybe it was more like 10 minutes, but it was way too short to rank.... as I'm sure Heaton hears all the time. ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/149/lotrturmoil22008me8.png HIGH SCORE LORD CHRIS RYDER: I have to say that I think Ryder is better than ever. I remember wrestling him in 2007 and he was a tough cookie, but he's adapted very well to 2008. So much so, that I think he's actually better in 2008 than in 2007. A very impressive match for the Night Ryder. CLOSEST MATCH AIR vs. PAUL PUGH: Only 52 points, which was just one point closer than Bauer vs. Ryder. So if you wanna get technical, the closest match was Air/Pugh vs. Bauer/Ryder... hehe, Bowel Rider. Anyways, the funny part about these matches is that both of the losers actually won on points. Paul Pugh even managed to go from scoring 178 points in his first match against Kraven, to a wopping 417 points his second go around. BIGGEST GAP CARLOS CRUZ vs. ROTTI: You could easily see the difference between the two right from the get go. Different lifestyle choices, different fighting styles and Carlos shows how OCWFED.NET can improve your overall game after time. I remember when we used to actually do dark matches against unknowns back in the PS2 days and this is what this match reminded me of. You could easily tell that Carlos was someone who's been playing the OCW style for a while, because of the technique, the strategy and just how much smoother his actions where. Don't get me wrong, Rotti is definitely different and reminds me a bit of Ma'Jin when he first came around. The Caporeira spinning roundhouse was definitely fun to see connect, but it was like watching a horse trying to walk for the first time. You could tell he was having trouble adjusting to the OCW style of wrestling and perhaps even frustrated Carlos on a few occasions when it came to the "Punch Free" aspect. Basically, I dig Rotti's look and fighting style, but he needs some more polishing before he can make a name for himself within these pessimistic walls. HONORABLE MENTION THE AIR: For getting owned by bad in-game physics, yet still trying, damnit. During his match, Air attempted to jump over the ropes and onto his downed opponent, who was helpless on the outside padding. He tried once around the 7:20 mark and again at 12:08. Each time, an invisible wall - or strong gust of air, if you will - denied him his Air Time and knocked his baby blue ass back into the ring, landing face first onto the mat. The first time made me chuckle, but when I saw him going for the second attempt, I actually watched, with much anticipation, to see if he would finally overcome the invisible wall of denial. Here's to you, Air, for fighting the transparent odds and trying your best to entertain us. I was rooting for you, buddy.
The Air Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 I like this report, but I hate this game. It's biased towards me. 2k8? I havent figured out 2k7 yet - Big Joe D I am the First Dutch EX-Champion - The Air I am the First European EX-Champion - The Air I am the First True EX-Champion - The Air Delusional? Not at all! I Speak the Truth, cause I can proof it and the others can't. Those Heavy !@#$%^&& ain't got none on me.
