Administrators Mr.Sensation Posted April 20, 2024 Author Administrators Posted April 20, 2024 Thank you for the kind words its kind of a hassle and janky atm but I do enjoy it makes the show feel more dynamic. also take a moment and vote HONESTLY for the show rating. 2 15-06, 18:20 Tiberius Dupree make him tap with brownie mix "Booking Wrestling is the most thankless no-win position anyone could ever be in. Administrators Mr.Sensation Posted April 20, 2024 Author Administrators Posted April 20, 2024 Fighting crippling arthritis all of a sudden So I will keep it succinct since voice DICTation isn't working! The Community voted this show with B+ I would probably lean toward B or B- but again I grade more aggressively. I have to say this was one of the enjoyable returns in recent memory but that might just be recency bias. As a quick side bar during Mania Weekend I was quietly watching you guys discuss and debate what was happening and I mentioned in Booking that "I wish we kinda got this as OCW Discussion or something to that effect" That being said I can understand how its more difficult for some / most because you are so much closer to things when it comes to OCW content. All that bullshit being aside what I am trying to say is I'd like to move towards that and will even try my part in doing so. With that I want to make sure I get this out early I am beyond pleased how folks have reacted to the booking of the show. Seeing people rise to the occasion or pivot as necesaary is the crux of what OCW is about. I think my pop of the night non related is probably Owens "I wish you well in your pursuit" as I defeat Aleksander Bolek next week. Cold as ICE, from Bobbi sounding off that the tag titles are staying with DNS, from DNS stating they will become tag champs, from Telos pivot to a potential feud, Well done! Anyways here are some brief notes. That will be much like my mind scatterbrained. Someone mentioned (I think kass probably kass) that Maxx opening segment wasn't needed since it (I'm Paraphrasing here) was kind of a nothing segment. I disagree as the newly minted World Champion you gotta go out there even if it is to say THE CHAMP IS HERE could it have been a written promo? Perhaps but it didn't overstay its welcome, it had voice and the belt draping was on brand. Someone on twitch commented how "this is crazy this stuff is so advanced looking etc" thats a testament to y'all as its a community effort. Telos vs C-note broke my fucking heart, b. Los had a hell of comeback but mechanically couldn't get them breakers down pat. I also heard I'm pretty sure John pipe up in VP when C-Note hit his Sub Sig (why didnt he tap him out I would have) and to that I say of course YOU would. I was having a conversation with someone who I told that they have pretty much the mechanics of game play down pretty efficient skill wise but playing them is like playing a Meta Monkey, like for that you can just go to any random bullshit discord fed. I continued its good to have the skillset to turn it on when you need to against certain ppl (oddly enough in this case id say Meta John) So yea thats my little tirade. I appreciated it didn't end that way and was a fun match to watch. Telos is already moving on and I'm sure C-Note has something planned so it be like that. The tag match between the odd couple was solid. DNS is moving well and playing the part of the heels in the tag match. I thought DNS had it in the bag till that shit abruptly ended. This is what happens when the DAWG puts down the bottle! I liked the little odd couple ending at the end, It bugged me that we literally saw it at the end KASSCUUUUM but then there aren't many animations and the text diversified it just enough. I'm gonna jump around a bit and drop more later. But the 3 way was not good. I expected "New Things Lets Do Them" but IDK this kind of felt like one of those 1AM dark matches for shits and giggles, it's not an indictment on any of the participants but it kind of felt flat although there where one or 2 very sick spots. People will have to get that out of they system I suppose there where plenty of cool moments that felt missed because (I'm playing a game) that could just be me though. 2 things before I go. Appreciate the kind words on the bump in production A LOT of work went into that, between Pugh providing ASSets and a lot of trial and error. Shits not perfect but the bare bones work and are K I S S to implement. For example during PPVs I can pre load the drop downs or just do them on the fly as the show goes because for PPV's im mostly quietly watching in the VP vs when on Streaming trying to do commentary and everything else. Hopefully I can level that up a bit because it's not where I want it to be but I'm glad people felt immersed that's the idea. And the folks watching also got a kick outta it. Last thing we had a few Non Stream Technical issues IE changing clothes mid match, menus popping up, the stuttering during the flojo marisa match which marred the match for me a little (still great match) Just be aware and try to keep up with the quality. I say that because if I don't we can easily backslide and I say that from experience it starts with a menu popping up and it ends with no entrances and the wrong arena (Again trust me I seen it lmao) so just keep an eye out for some quality control. Thats it for now! plenty of werds too so catch up on those! 6 15-06, 18:20 Tiberius Dupree make him tap with brownie mix "Booking Wrestling is the most thankless no-win position anyone could ever be in. Wasn’t saying tap everyone was saying there’s no point of a signature submission if you won’t tap them out with it. 2
John Carter Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Loved the new production. Glad to see we have better production value than AEW. Felt super cool hope this leads to everyone adding in more detail. Really enjoyed the moment of Marisa walking backstage before her segment. The little things like that really stand out to me. Makes me feel more immersed into what’s going on if that makes sense. Then that immersion is ruined with random gear changes. It’s a quick fix if you pay attention to detail. Scotty literally had two different hairstyles so it’s easy to tell that whoever made the stare down used the wrong caw. Is what it is, glad to see Jay doing all these cool graphics. 2 1
