Beat me to it, I was gonna say just got done with the Riot match with Chino and I actually liked the no punch rule. Had a different flow and feel to it. Take away the two punch limit I said before we should try out this no grapple punch system.

I actually like the "restrict" not ban ideas.

 

Either you can punch when unclored, but once your yellow you must stop...

 

Or you can do 2, then nothing.

 

And for tech whore accusers, some of us out there just want it for the moves.

I wasnt trying to accuse everyone of being a tech whore. I was basically stating that taking that form of defense away from us, kinda sucks, because we still have to wait until your yellow to hit a strong grapple.

 

The tech whore definition is pretty much on people who "reach around" (happy MMM?) way to much, and whore its perk out. Really anyone who whores out their perks needs to be anal raped by FPR

I used to be Dirty, Showman and it is really awful. Coulden't enjoy playing at all with it. When i went face i decided that Tech would be the only one that fits well with Leon since i could have half of his old moves back.

It's bitchier then you make it sound lol. It needs practice and requires a different way of playing. You basicly need to let go of your directional pad when anticipating. Even if you succeed and get good at not rolling your counter ability suffer from it.

It also comes down to how people counter, im used to countering when moving and when standing still it's very hard but if i can't get used to it then i will simply not use a highflyer. But yeah there are some out there that do like to spam it.

Regardless, when I was renting 08, it was impossible for me to not roll just because I hit the reversal buttons a lot because of the way I play. I anticipate a lot of moves regardless of whether or not they happen, and now I have to stand perfectly still to reverse anything.

 

So again, fuck you Majin, and I'd love to see how much you'd roll if you went high flyer.

Some people roll just to get the F away from what your about to attempt. There is no "different way" of playing.

 

I played a couple matches *names will remain nameless* and i reversed a strong grapple attempt, and he tucks his tail and rolls away. This happened several times in the match. Its not a matter of reversing what i have in store for him, its him being a fuckin pussy.

and personally, i dont care for this rule. {and im not bitching or complaining. ill play by it if its a rule.} but IMO, the strike in grapple just adds realism to the match. it actually looks like youre trying to fight out of it, instead of both of you just standing there dancing until the opponent decides to do a move. i think we should limit it to only 2 strikes while in grapple. {so that you cant punch your way out of the grapple.} but not just ban it all together. i mean jesus, all the tech whores out there {and yes, i have ideas of who were the ones doing the bitching.} who basically get free strong grapples off the bat, and get auto escape from EVERY style until they turn yellow, and people are bitching about punching in grapple ? is it not fair to you techs that people can punch you while you basically get your free 5 mins of free strong grapples off ? poor little things. lol or what about the tech whores that constantly do the run and duck under ? and people complain about being punched while in grapple ? or the lame ass cheesey highflyers who constantly roll around the ring and call it 'strategy' ? but yet, people complain about being punched in a grapple ? lol and i dont get why everyones bitching about pulling your opponent around the ring while grappled. watch any match from 06 to now, and that has always happened. its not just something new that started with 08. its called 'SURPRISE' ! if youre moving, they dont know when youre going to hit it. i mean heaven forbid you try and actually surprise your opponent when you try and pull off your move. from now on, would people just like for me {cause yes, i am someone who drags their opponent around the ring. and no, i wont stop just because im not getting punched. whoever thinks that the dragging will 'go away' just because people arent punching in grapple apparently just dont understand the concept behind it.} to stand in 1 spot while im grappled and give you a quick heads up before i decide to try and hit my move ? would that make things any easier on some of you ? cause lord knows we wouldnt want some people to have to actually think while they play the game.

 

I absolutely agree with Majin on this. This rule was never a problem you can reverse everything punching in the grapple added strategy and it has no reason to be banned
