Shianne Lovelace Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 It is no secret that the Women's Division has been missing several faces in the last few months - noticeably Harper LeRoux, Hifumi Mayoshi and Shianne Lovelace, who all have not made regular appearances on OCW Television in multiple months. Many fans have speculated online about the reasons behind the absences, with popular theories being that management simply had nothing for the girls, or that they'd "taken their ball and gone home," being a reason most notably appearing in relation to the absence of a certain Shianne Lovelace. - Whereculture has obtained from reliable sources within the company's management a few status updates on the whereabouts of the three women. Starting off with the girl who has flown under the radar for much of her OCW career, Harper LeRoux last wrestled on June 21st, 2024 in a winning effort over her former mentor, Alexa Hayes, on Riot 622. While that may have signaled to fans that she'd be gearing up for a noteworthy run on TV, she instead seemingly disappeared from OCW broadcasts - only appearing in occasional segments alongside Dragana Cesar, her current mentor both on-screen and reportedly off-screen. According to the information obtained by Whereculture, Harper LeRoux requested a release from her OCW contract sometime in August, but was denied her request. The information surrounding her request and the denial aren't available at this time, though there was some speculation that she was unhappy with how her professional wrestling career has gone. She later made a public statement about the rumors, stating that she "loves pro wrestling" and is "content with how things are going." When contacted by Whereculture for comment, she did not deny requesting her release, but stated that she "deeply regretted" ever making that request in the first place and is glad that management denied it, looking forward to what the future might hold as she continues to train with Dragana outside of televised broadcasts. - Hifumi Mayoshi was last seen in an OCW ring at Riot 626 on September 13th, 2024, where she unsuccessfully challenged long time rival, "Gojira" Sue Plex for the OCW Women's Pride championship. The match seemed to have gone fine, with very little indication that anything was wrong but it has now been revealed to Whereculture that Mayoshi suffered a major concussion when she missed her finishing maneuver near the end of the match - which resulted in a botched finish as she didn't kick out of the attempted pinfall by Sue Plex and was visibly out of it when fan cams caught her lying down at ringside being checked on by medical staff. Mayoshi has hardly been seen on TV since then, being attacked by Sue the following week in an effort to write the young joshi off of television. The injury, which first appeared to be minor and would only keep her out for a few weeks, has since been revealed to have been more serious than originally anticipated and Mayoshi is now looking at an indefinite hiatus from the ring while she recovers. It is a wonder if this injury will affect her in-ring style if/when she makes her return to the ring. Much beloved by the OCW fans, Mayoshi had a flash in the pan run that saw her quickly become one of the most popular women in the division, and her absence has definitely been felt. Mayoshi responded to Whereculture's request for comment with a string of heart emojis and smiley faces. - Shianne Lovelace, last seen at OCW Summercide 2024 on August 31, 2024, where she fought in a losing effort against reigning Women's World champion Deborah Soto, has been absent from TV ever since her championship defeat and has left more than a few wondering where she has been. According to information obtained by Whereculture, following her loss at Summercide Shianne requested some time off from OCW - having been one of the more prominent members of the women's division for a year and a half had taken its toll on her body and she reportedly decided she needed to take some time off to rest up and heal some nagging injuries before they got any worse. While she was thought to have been scheduled to make a return sometime in November, it seems plans for that have been indefinitely shelved as she has instead focused on ventures outside of OCW, with management's blessing, reportedly pursuing a potential debut in music: particularly in the rap genre. This coincides with the fact that there had been scrapped plans to have her debut with a rap gimmick in OCW back in 2022, but those plans were later transformed into her prize fighter / loose cannon gimmick. Nobody knows if she'll seriously pursue music or if this will fall through, but it's certainly something for her fans to keep an eye out for. Shianne did not respond to Whereculture's request for comment. - In other news, Whereculture stands by its previous reporting that Chris Greene's OCW Contract expires on December 1st, 2024. Whereculture has also received information that OCW may be looking to sign a few new talents in the near future, but thus far this information has not been verified. 5 Chris Greene | Shianne Lovelace | Harper LeRoux | Hifumi Mayoshi
