CCW Turmoil 4-1-08 Card

Clearly Death Row was booked ME because they are hot right now, Turmoil needed a shake up to get some chatter going. This has done exactly that. Add that with the fact that its a great gimmick match to put them in.

 

The focus of this ME in my opinion is Trips/MMM being forced to work together in a cage (familiar territory for Death Row). It works from a Television writing perspective. It's going to make for good TV.

Going onto the subject I don't think Death Row are worthy of an ME spot on Turmoil. I shall state my reasons.

 

1. They have not been around long enough to be up there.

2. Although they have a great gimmick and what not they are not good enough to be competing at ME.

3. They are not CCW wrestlers and shouldn't be headlining a CCW show.

4. They haven't done enough to be at ME.

 

I like Death Row and think they are doing very well, like the gimmick and like the look. But I am annoyed that after all of the hard work myself and Nathan have put into livening up the tag division RP'ing week after week on both shows, Death Row get thrown into the ME straight away.

 

Now saying all that I understand that Morrison and Trips ARE ME and this match is just a boost for the TV Title match at Lution. I understand a tag match featuring Trips and Morrison should be high on the cards. But should this be the Main Event, not in my opinion. If it were Trips and Morrison VS two other established wrestlers but against a couple of, dare I say, rooks. I think not. But I know its been booked to add tension in the MMM Trips match so the focus shouldn't really be on Death Row.

AA chill out I gave my response, I handled yours fine. Almost everyone in the midcard here in OCW can ME a show. Yeah I said A show. Its one show, its a gimmick match that fits our style and works with the MMM and Trips angle. It's not that big of a deal. Like I said its one match not forever. Chill out and stop freaking out about one changed ME spot. We arent CCW but Death Row is in the tag division which is cross-branded and they are involved in a storyline with CCW guys which developed on a CCW/OCW show.

 

It mixes things up, I'm glad to see a change. It IS an awesome match regardless of where placed in the card.

 

Edit: Dont place any of this on us either. We didnt choose this match. It could have been anyone and regardless if its us or The Odd Couple or BDTTP or whoever is involved in the current tag division which are all working real hard it would have been a great match up. Fact is Death Row was chosen to step up.

 

Edit 2: Reading over some stuff...Cruz how long have you been here and done nothing. Saying we are holding down rookies through our RPs on all three shows makes no sense. You want to RP and get your name out then do it. Our RPs arent being picked over yours. Oh and Aries...he is a rookie who is developing through this feud as well. 3 rookies and Ryder who is stepping up and helping out with getting these guys recognition. So to say we are holding back rookies is incredibly dumb.

I used "WE" as in Death Row so I dont have to list Mace and A-Jax everytime I type or have Death Row typed out in every sentence. Short cut not trying to subliminally drop any hints. I just refer to Death Row like we are all one person when I type. So its good you mentioned that and I am able to clear it up.

It's just one show ME, it's not like this is how it's gonna always be from this point forward. We have been on Riot because it's our home. We have been on Ambition because we're pretty new. We've been on Turmoil because we're having a tag match and a cross-brand feud. So there's logic behind it all. It's not like we're going to the GM's and saying book us here, there, and everywhere so our faction can spread like a plague or something.

 

Let's wait and see if it's a terrible ME before we call the booking terrible. imo it should be looked at as a wildcard ME at this point, not one that's automatically terrible.

Definatelly not holding down rookies as you guys are rookies yourselves, but I just think it is a little to early for a main event slot. It just doesn't make much sense IMO.

The ME slot doesn't matter.

 

Being in the main event and being in the opener is the exact same deal. You get a match. The way I see it we have two teams who have been working their asses off and each of us deserve to be the main event.
