Trevor McManus Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 As far as wanting to return to the days where you "didn't know who was going to win" I don't see how those days have left us. I played Kang and it was neck and neck but I just pulled it out. I played Parker and it was neck and neck until I just pulled it out. I played Bold (although this was never aired) and it was neck and neck when I pulled it out. I played Smythe and I countered 4 finishers and he countered 2 until he pulled that one over on me. I played Aries who is a light heavyweight and I lost. Even those who know he is a great player wouldn't have seen me losing to a light. It's not like every single match in OCW is scripted and not all matches are pre-determined. http://positivesharing.com/wp-content/uploads/2006/08/complaining.jpg [23:39] locoNY911: You get solace in the fact you arent a fuck up. 2k9's better than 2k8. Nick Kage Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 part of the problem is the gm's are pussies, they get told what to do by ocw superstars instead of booking what the gm's want to see. who the fuck cares if steve refuses to fight mayhem BOOK IT! if it deserves to be booked. who cares if kip wont fight KD BOOK IT! if it deserves to be so. in all honesty if the gm's would pay attention more and actually base their cards on current storylines and what matches may be the most entertaining to watch. instead of catering to what so and so wants and does not want things might be more interesting around here. my view is that GM's are supposed to be aware of current storylines and book cards accordingly. no where in that is they are supposed to do what the superstars tell them IE: Baxter is feuding with OD they outline a feud and give it to the gm's the gm's now canbook around this feud meaning baxter doe snot dictate who he fights, as long as the main match of the fued happens on a ppv. until then baxter can be booked against anyone and then bax and OD will work their feud RP's around it. gm's should be booking the most entertaining matches they can make within the frame of the current storylines. steve fueds with kang over int title, steve can still be booked against mayhem. why not? kang can be booked against smythe ect ect ect... gm's need to start molding the competition as well "When you're pushed... Killing is as easy as breathing!" http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/766/kagebannernv9.png http://www.selectmediafestival.org/2006/oct21.jpg
Administrators Mr.Sensation Posted November 18, 2008 Author Administrators Posted November 18, 2008 oh come on... Jay didn't deserve shyt... but it was interesting... i was ENTERTAINED and that's all that matters... I will slap the black off of you! Now give me 20 dollars. Edit Your my boy so it hurts me to say this, but are you fucking retarded? Your part of staff do you not see the ppv threads when it comes up? Vs helps me book sometimes, my booking is pretty much whatever someone gives me IE a storyline and then whatever I can come up with. No one is protecting anyone. Look at that Tag match I wanted 2 weeks ago, It turned into a clusterfuck so I made it a 1 on 1. Please dont make accusations with out proof Nick it fills my heart with rage. Bottom line OCW is about alot of things, one thing that hasnt been there is that fire, so we try to bring that to the table. Alot of people have brought up examples. But then you also have to take into consideration we try to be more considerate to people. So while we wont throw you into the fire in a fued that you don't want to be in for a title you don't want. The end result sometimes nothing gets done. But don't worry you guys want it you got it come 2009 the tears for fears can return, you aint doing shit with a piece of gold just gonna put you through the ringer till you drop it or get on the ball. PS I am glad people are finally fucking talking again. And since im all over the place id like to add when mayhem jobbed to sideshow for that title shot. I didnt tell either men what the match was for. And you know why Mayhem because you would have went from Comp mode to Comp/Cheese mode and that match would have sucked ass. The simple fact is this some people can make it to the top with Wins, others with Rps and Wins. 15-06, 18:20 Tiberius Dupree make him tap with brownie mix "Booking Wrestling is the most thankless no-win position anyone could ever be in. Administrators Mr.Sensation Posted November 18, 2008 Author Administrators Posted November 18, 2008 Id like to also add if we do add the stat tracking this time around, as usual anyone found acting scumbaggish will be ignored, followed by a removal from OCW. Prior to its use OCW was founded on stat tracking, and it didn't effect anything or anyone in a negative light. Id also like to add I was taking a look at it and my son in law was #1 go fucking figure :( 15-06, 18:20 Tiberius Dupree make him tap with brownie mix "Booking Wrestling is the most thankless no-win position anyone could ever be in. AJ Phoenix Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 One thing i think is that GM's should probably give some input at times to those who are lost or not having any concrete plans. Case in point my last feud w/ Kage, when I had the title, I honestly was more or less lost for who to feud with after beating Malu at S2R 07, and I think it was Vimes who actually got us to start the feud. Me and Kage really didnt have much in terms of history, but it ended up being one of the best feuds of the year. So, in a nutshell, GM's if you see potential in a feud, speak up! It would help those who are at a block for what to do, instead of making them subject to the cliched "Open Challenge" idea since they have nothing else http://img393.imageshack.us/img393/976/senseisz8.jpg
