David Jackson Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 It was a great show with quite a few returns. I can't wait to see what next week has in store. *Side note: K.D., I seriously thought you had me after that spear. http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/383813_10150416716952781_147904157780_8515390_2054734349_n.jpg
The Guy Fausto Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Since Trance nagged me to stop slagging Danny and calling him worthless and look at the damn show. The OCW Underground seems to be a set up for competiton driven wrestling. This sounds good and all, but while the concept is fine, I think the problem lies if people find the game fun enough to push it as such. It could be the stop gap between OCW and OCF though, in that it wouldn't have OCF's weakness of lack of storylines. It's clearly a wait and see aspect to see where it goes. Will there be a strictly OCW Underground title? A rigid ladder that decides matches? Make it a separate weekend show outside Riot? Will it coexist with OCW, or act as a separate entity? IE, will things that occur on Underground affect Riot? I do not mark for Justin Rockstar for obvious reasons. I do mark for Katinzo on the grounds that some effort will appear on his front and it can be a strong positive for the EX. Why does everyone want to murder Gaines? Does his lack of race just trigger everyone's racism towards him? If you're racist against any race at all, you just hate Gaines. On that matter, it seems people being hit with cars is getting overdone. Mayhem was hit with a car, Gaines was hit with a car, and it's always the same car. So clearly, we can deduct Trance was responsible for hitting Mayhem as well. On matches: Can we make it a rule to turn numbers on for counts? Looks silly to have counts with no indication. Smythe is a main event level competitor holding our Midcard title. Like myself and the International Title, he has the problem that no one on the level of that title will beat him for it. It's kind of an annoying thing and I'm not exactly very hopeful of Hostile's chances of beating Smythe clean. But upsets do happen. Except Jacob Trance apparently beat him to it. Whoops. I suck. I fucked up and broke the pin twice during the tag match. I thought the rule was still three, and didn't know the one break rule was law now. My apologies. Also apologies to Trevor for me being a gigantic pussy. Mayhem is scary. :( Also, pardon my slightly less sophisticated language - 'lawl' at KD not being able to take losing gracefully ever.
Michael Morrison Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 MADNESS REPORT PAGE-1 INTRO: From the Depths An old, but familiar face starts off the show with an injection of Madness. That’s right, yours truly, makes an appearance and I had a-lot to say without really saying much. The dialogue went a bit long, but it was difficult to stop typing. None the less, it was fun to work on a RP again… and it was even cooler to see that it started off the show – although, I probably should have made the video smaller because it took a while to finish loading. KD has a match on the same page so his music pops up way before mine ever does. It made Mad Mike feel pretty gangsta though so maybe I’ll ask Smythe to hook me up with a remix. D-EVOLUTION: Hiding Like Waldo One thing’s for sure; D-Evolution is not hiding like Waldo, as they say. The roster is a little thinner and talent is getting harder to find, but KD and Jookie see it as opportunity. They are putting in the work and getting contender shots. Soon enough, OCW may finally D-Evolve… wait o_O JAKCSON: Needs Less Scallywags Jackson didn’t like the taste of KD and Jookie at the same time, so he’s hoping that trying them one-on-one will be better on his pirate pallet. He points out that he and KD have history and that KD has trouble with Ex-Division opponents, but if push comes to shove, there are plenty of weapons under the ring. Now that Xavier has turned his back on Jackson and Baxter, I would say that Jackson needs to find a way to stand out. As a group, they were gold, now it’s time to see how they fair alone. A win against KD could help keep him competitive, but wins only account for so much. SINGLES MATCH D. Jackson vs. K. Dangelo PAGE-2 DOUBLE-RETURN ALL THE WAY: What does it mean? An OCW EX-Division legend returns to usher in another golden age of small-guys wrestling reary reary fast. Unfortunately, his motivational speech is cut short when a certain infamous “Rockstar” interrupts and decides to make it a party. Impromptu match anyone? EX-DIVISION SINGLES MATCH: Legend vs Rockstar D-EVOLUTION: I Want Him Again KD was not happy with how his match ended and although Jookie tried his best to console a brotha, KD wasn’t hearing it. Frustrated over his current slump, KD demands a re-match against David Jackson and vows to leave OCW if he can’t defeat him. Not as epic as Career vs. Streak, but this could be epicly bad for Jookie and D-Evolution; as they seem so close to breaking that glass…. And I’m not talking about the glass window of the liquor store, you racist bastards. PAGE-3 XAVIER: To My Success… Xavier is living it up and it’s kept him so busy that he forgets where he’s at. Thank god for his assistant, Jasmine – who may be more than just an assistant – otherwise he would have forgotten he was even on RIOT. I’m still on the fence, concerning this new direction, but the RP’s are still written well and after tonight, everything will come together at SummerCide; according to the recently richy rich Xavier. On another note, does anyone else sing, “but there ain’t no cure for the SummerCide blues” in their head whenever the name pops up? Jut me, huh… fine. SMYTHE: Not Because I Want To Because he has to. He may not be the hero we deserve… but he’s the hero OCW needs. Sorry, I couldn’t resist the reference again. Anyways, Smythe makes a short but powerful statement, concerning the future of OCW. However, could this be just another of many “saviors” that claim to pull OCW out of the darkness (oh, the irony)? I guess we’ll fiind out at SummerCide, but if anyone can make little things stop and big things pop, it would be Smythe… or maybe Baxter… get it? NA CONTENDER MATCH Jookie Jam vs. Brandon Hostile Once again, Jookie appears to have a new attire for us to behold. I dig the colors… nice. Hostile still looks overly buff to me, but who am I to judge. BAXTER/DANE: Whyyyyyyyyy! The plot starts to reveal itself as Baxter lies in bed as a beaten man. He understands why Dane did what he did and accepts it. He even goes so far as to acknowledge Dane as the better man and perhaps the good-guy in this assorted business. It all comes back to Karma and turn-about as fair play. Unfortunately for Baxter, Dane isn’t done just yet. Barging into the room, Dane removes Baxter’s mask as he assaults him during his moment of weakness and vulnerability. I guess some wounds just don’t heal over time… they fester and spread until they consume the soul. Find out which soul survives the SummerCide blues. Yeah, I still sing that song. This could be a great re-birth for Baxter and Dane, come SummerCide. I’m still worried where Jackson will go with his character, but at least two of the three former friends seem to have something in mind. PAGE-4 TRANCE/GAINES/HOSTILE: Prepare For A Hostile Takeover BooYa; Hostile used the line lol. Where do I begin with this story of twists and turns? Trance was about to reveal who ran over Gaines… when none other than Gaines makes an appearance. At first I was wondering, “Wait… did Gaines hit himself with a car?” But Gaines goes on to explain how he believes Trance was the man responsible; stating that the benefit of getting hit with a car and rolling onto the windshield is that you get to see the driver’s eyes… and Gaines said the eyes he saw belonged to the wife stealing, icon beating, stone cold snake in the grass. Of course, Trance denies the allegations, but before the two can settle-up, guess who spreads a thick layer of sweet hostility all over their cinabon asses? That’s right, Brandon Hostile. Does this mean Hostile is the one that tried to end Gaines’ career? Will Gaines and Trance now join forces against the Hostile takeover? I don’t know, but SummerCide is building up heat. MAIN EVENT McManus/Fausto vs. Doomsday Theory Guy’s green tights serve a double purpose as the back-end makes his ass look like a Venus Flytrap. It sends a clear message: you don’t want to put anything in there. NEXT >>
Useless Dane Xavier Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I mark the fuck out for Morrison's RP. Your RP style is golden and I hope to someday be that clever and creative with my words. I'm working on it and I've improved over the years, but I'm nowhere near the level MiMo is. D-Ev: You guys really need to get creative. Any time I try to invision your RPs I see a black background with the two of you sitting around talking. Tell us where you are, explain your surroundings, and don't be afraid to go off topic with your RPs. I like how you explained how you were taping your wrists and whatnot, but we need more. Details are key to good RP that keeps the audiences attention. D-Jack's RP was wonderful, it set up very nicely for the match. D-Jack vs. KD went on too long, mostly because whenever one guy had a sig, the other would be afraid to lose so they'd do a running move. Kinda cheesy, I should have told you guys to redo since I was the recorder, but meh. Hatachi is back... and so is Justin Rox! Two returns, one EX Division hype RP, one great match. I thought Rox had it when he hit the SCM but then he ROLLED HATACHI UP off the SCM, which i marked for, but Hatachi was in the ropes! Seemed like Rox couldn't come back after that and Hatachi pulled it out. I enjoyed watching this match! Another D-Ev RP. Remember my advice. I like that KD is making things interesting by putting his job on the line for a rematch. Cool. Smythe giving me something else to look forward to at Summercide. Can't wait to see what it is. Should be good knowing how Smythe is. Jookie vs. Hostile was a great match, but I'm wondering why the number one contention wasn't for the EX title... is the EX title still around? Hmm... I can't wait for SummerCide, my match with Baxter should be fun. So Hostile turns on his friend Trance before they face off for the title at Summercide. This put Hostile over well and played off the number one contention win very well. Good work gents. Main Event was good as far as tag matches go. I liked how it ended and I LOL'd at Guy thinking about doing something to Mayhem but then running away instead. The backstage fight was great too and made for a nice ending to Riot as well as more hype to their Summercide title match. Overall, I'll give the show 8/10, only because I thought there was actually going to be a page 5. But oh well, Summercide is fast approaching and it seems like everyone's ready for it. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g289/jlethridge1/DaneCard.jpg http://wrestlinglol.com/photos/14n34sp.gif
Parker Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Guy Fausto is very active on the boards as of late, more than I have ever seen him post, even getting a little opinionated in some threads :p I mark for this. http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/5774/sig2uq.jpg 2 x Hardcore Champion (Longest defending OCW champ,19 defences) 1 x NA Champion 1 x Pride Champion 1 x TV Champion 2 x OCW World Heavyweight Champion F.I Winner 2012 MOTN vs Leonheart @ Wrestlution 7 'Don't worry about no one else, hows my hair look' - Tiberius Dupree 'Wipe you ass and go to bed' - Sensation to B17
Michael Morrison Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Missing In Action: Where are Morgan n' Freeman? I'm a fan but it's been at least two RIOTs since they made an appearance, so I'm worried they'll fade into obscurity. Also... where you at, Valmont? Even though your return was met with some controversy, it had allot of buzz surrounding it. You came off strong, making bold statements and then vanish. I know it's only one show, but missing a show or two can kill momentum, especially now that there's only one show a week. I was hoping to see Valmont in a match or play a part in the Main Event somehow, but I got nothing... nothing I say.
K.Dangelo Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Nice show finally got my computer working right to check it out.Hatachi and Rox had a awesome match, didn't like how he Rox got that corner sig with a taunt though. It was funny when Rox picked up Hatachi then Hatachi did it to him. Jookie and Hostile nice but Jookie(clears throat) IT'S OK TO DO GROUND MOVES! Tag match was nice,Guy said he forgot, so water under a bridge things happen.OcW is gonna have to do a 3 on 1 handicap match to get the title from the Monster. Nice returns and good rps.I guess the HC title will be returning since M.Morrison is back. THE ALPHA ! Dorien Arnaud :1x Ambition Champion, 1x hardcore champion Kat : 1x BombShell Queen K.Dangelo : 1 TV champion 2x Hardcore Champion 1X North American Champion 2x Tag Team Champion, 1x Pride champion Espado : 1x Light Heavy Champion
Michael Morrison Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Nice returns and good rps.I guess the HC title will be returning since M.Morrison is back.I doubt they'd bring back the HC title just because I made a guest appearance... or even if I returned full time. I think OCW had it's HC era and Parker pretty much dominated, so I'd be fine with it never coming back lol.
The Guy Fausto Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Since he mentioned it in the idiot thread and I agree it worths noting - We won't need a 3 on 1 to beat Mayhem, cause Trevor gave both him and Smythe hell with only me being a massive prick occasionally. He took it to the both of them on his own and it is a performance worth noting. Trevor seems like he could pull off the win against Mayhem, but the stars didn't align for him when it mattered. Not like Smythe is a pushover either, despite his voice getting higher in every match he has against me.
